The Cultivators of the Black Dragon Society are different from those of the Heavenly Dragon Society and Crimson Flame Hall. If they boldly fly out of the Copper Sand Sea, they will fall into a collective slaughter by the external Cultivators. Therefore, even though there is no safe haven for them in Chaotic Valley, they can only sneak out quietly and choose a hidden place to cultivate, ensuring they do not expose themselves.
Qin Xiaotian, as the leader of the Black Dragon Society, is the number one enemy of the external Cultivators. He dares not flee to the outside world and instead hides within the Copper Sand Sea. However, he carries Lin Jianfeng's storage bag, which immediately makes him a target for Guo Huai. Fortunately, Qin Xiaotian quickly discovers the Against the Wind Boat in Lin Jianfeng's storage bag and promptly switches his Flying Artifact, fleeing wildly through the Copper Sand Sea with Guo Huai in pursuit.
Capturing an Eleventh Layer Cultivator to refine Lin Jianfeng's corpse has been Lin Jianfeng's ongoing task. Guo Huai is simply waiting for his senior brother to finish refining the corpse before embarking on his own journey to seek opportunities.
To Guo Huai, capturing a Foundation Stage Practitioner feels as easy as catching a chick, so he does not take it seriously. However, upon receiving a Sound Transmission Jade Tablet from Lin Jianfeng and being ambushed, he realizes that these Cultivators have been like livestock raised by their own brothers for centuries. Filled with anger and humiliation at being provoked like a dog, Guo Huai's fury reaches its peak when he witnesses Lin Jianfeng's dismembered remains.
Yet, as Qin Xiaotian pilots the Against the Wind Boat to escape, Guo Huai finds himself in a desperate chase. Even when he pushes his speed to the maximum, he cannot close the distance between them. After several days of pursuit, Guo Huai's magical power begins to wane, but his anger keeps him from giving up. Meanwhile, Qin Xiaotian must maintain maximum speed on the Against the Wind Boat, causing his spirit stones to deplete rapidly. Spotting Xunuo, a god of wealth, he naturally seeks assistance while harboring ulterior motives.
Seeing the situation deteriorate, Xunuo accelerates his escape, forming a linear chase among the three. He observes how the same artifact performs differently in various Cultivators' hands. Xunuo relies entirely on spirit stones to power the Against the Wind Boat while Qin Xiaotian presses his hands against the boat's wall, injecting his magical power as additional propulsion. As a result, Qin Xiaotian approaches Xunuo at a visibly increasing speed.
Xunuo feels helpless against this. If he were to inject his magical power into the Against the Wind Boat as well, it would enhance its speed somewhat; however, this enhancement would pale in comparison to Qin Xiaotian’s efforts. There is no need for him to engage in such a contest.
Of course, Xunuo is not one to back down easily. Not willing to let Qin Xiaotian threaten him without resistance, he decides to unleash lethal force instead. With a wave of his hand, nearly a hundred talismans spread out in a massive circle behind him, obscuring his presence entirely. Before Qin Xiaotian can get close enough, they explode with a thunderous roar. The entire space erupts into chaos with swirling currents filled with ice blades, wind blades, Thunder Balls, and Rolling Stones—various spells flooding the area.
If the Against the Wind Boat recklessly enters this chaotic spell storm, it would only meet with destruction. Qin Xiaotian forcibly alters his escape direction and veers off sideways, losing any chance to continue pursuing Xunuo.
However, what Xunuo never expected was that an immense force would break through the spell storm and rush toward him with alarming magical fluctuations.
Turning around in shock, Xunuo sees that it is none other than Guo Huai—the Foundation Stage Cultivator—who has broken through the Symbol Barrier and abandoned chasing Qin Xiaotian to pursue him instead. Xunuo instantly feels overwhelmed with frustration.
Guo Huai had been chasing Qin Xiaotian for days; his rage had boiled over completely. To his surprise, he discovers that another Cultivator is piloting his Against the Wind Boat stored in his Cave. This means that during his absence from the Cave, someone has raided it—a situation unprecedented in Chaotic Valley. Enraged beyond reason, Guo Huai immediately abandons his pursuit of Qin Xiaotian and recklessly charges after Xunuo instead.
Xunuo intended to drive Qin Xiaotian away, hoping he would lead the formidable enemies of the Foundation Establishment Stage away. Little did he expect that Qin Xiaotian would escape, leaving him to take the blame. Furious, Xunuo cursed under his breath and had to find another way to escape.
A Foundation Stage Cultivator was naturally not someone Qin Xiaotian could compare to; the Symbol Barrier would not be able to stop him. After pondering for a moment, Xunuo took out four Dan Lei and wrapped them in an invisibility talisman. He then grabbed over a hundred Attack Talismans, waiting for the right moment to strike.
Xunuo's strategy was to layer the Attack Talismans and Dan Lei for defense. The first layer of Attack Talismans would weaken the enemy's defenses and disrupt their Divine Sense. The second layer of Dan Lei would be arranged at equal distances, ready to detonate as soon as the enemy broke through the Symbol Barrier. At that point, no matter what means they had, there would always be a Dan Lei ready to explode at close range. Xunuo believed that even if it couldn't severely injure them, it would at least deter them from pursuing him.
Just as Xunuo was waiting for the right moment to act, something unexpected happened. Qin Xiaotian actually turned back and closely pursued him behind the Foundation Stage Cultivator. What sent chills down Xunuo's spine was that the two Arch-Nemeses were not targeting each other but were instead relentlessly chasing after him. But in the next moment, a surge of demonic energy made Xunuo realize how dire his situation was.
It turned out that the Against the Wind Boat piloted by Qin Xiaotian was crafted from the Four-Winged Crimson Fire Ant King that Xunuo and his companions had slain. At this critical moment, they were being tracked down by Six-Winged Crimson Fire Ants. Xunuo knew well how formidable Six-Winged Crimson Fire Ants were; at this distance, he had no chance of escaping.
Furrowing his brow, a fierce look flashed in his eyes. He reached out and grabbed a phantom talisman, then raised both hands, causing three barriers to appear behind him. Guo Huai rushed in right after him, instantly triggering the ambush. The area transformed into a thunderous Fire Sea. Following that, an expansive illusion manifested—jungles, deep oceans, high mountains, and icy plains all intertwined and overlapped, dazzling anyone caught within it and making it difficult for their Divine Sense to clarify things in a short time.
Guo Huai emerged from the Fire Sea covered in dirt and ash, ignoring the various illusions as he dashed forward. Behind him came a brief scream from Qin Xiaotian that tightened Guo Huai's heart even more. Moments later, a golden Six-Winged Crimson Fire Ant burst out of the Fire Sea and darted toward Guo Huai's direction of escape.
As for Xunuo, he seemed to have vanished from this world entirely.
Guo Huai did not escape the pursuit of the Six-Winged Crimson Fire Ant. Without even putting up a fight for a moment, he was torn apart and devoured by it.
In the following days in Chaotic Valley, true chaos ensued. Each day saw great Cultivators mysteriously disappearing, including Alchemists and Refiners. Eventually, even Eleventh Layer Grandmasters vanished without a trace, and Cultivators at the Basic Skill Method's tenth layer began to go missing as well. During this time, leaders of the Three Forces also lost contact, leaving Chaotic Valley's Cultivators without guidance.
The three Foundation Establishment Stage Valley Masters no longer made appearances at all. Within the valley, Cultivators fought endlessly over power, shattering any semblance of order that had once existed. Some Cultivators who felt they could not survive in this environment began to flee gradually.
Especially those Alchemists and Refiners found little chance of survival under the new rules. In the first round of fighting, only a few remained. Thus, they were among the first Cultivators to escape.
Half a year later, in a desolate area of the Copper Sand Sea, a faint ripple suddenly flashed. Then, the heat and lifelessness returned.
A day later, Xunuo appeared in another part of the Copper Sand Sea. Although Xunuo's demeanor was cautious, he clearly looked invigorated and full of magical energy. Once his Divine Sense was released, moments later, he summoned the Against the Wind Boat and flew off in a certain direction.
During the six months that Xunuo had disappeared, he had naturally been hiding in the Boundary Space. At that time, he had created such a grand spectacle to disrupt the Heaven and Earth Vitality and shield his Divine Sense from detection. His intention was to stir up the waters and then take advantage of the chaos to conceal himself within the Boundary Stone.
The speed and magical power of the Six-Winged Crimson Fire Ant were far beyond that of an ordinary Foundation Stage Cultivator. The thought of escaping right under its nose was something Xunuo couldn't even entertain. Entering the Boundary Stone to hide was truly a last resort.
However, once Xunuo entered the Boundary Space, he needed to have a long-term plan and could not afford to reveal himself easily. If he exposed the secret of the Boundary Stone, even if he had nine lives, it would not be enough to save him. Therefore, Xunuo had to wait until this matter passed and the anger of the Six-Winged Crimson Fire Ant subsided. Only then could he use the power of the Great Illusion Concealment Talisman to sneak out from the Boundary Stone and escape.
The Boundary Stone was a treasure that allowed one to enter an independent space as if stepping into a void. Outsiders could neither enter nor detect what was happening inside. However, while Xunuo was within it, he also could not know what was occurring outside the Boundary Stone. Thus, Xunuo had no choice but to restrain his impatience and wait for time to dilute this incident before escaping.
Since he would be staying for a while, Xunuo decided not to rush things but instead carefully made a plan. The first thing was naturally to enhance his cultivation level. After advancing to the ninth layer, Xunuo had not practiced seriously. Now that he resided in the Boundary Space, he could take advantage of the spiritual spring's power to further improve his cultivation.

He would also remove any herbs from the Herb Garden that were somewhat useful in the mundane world but offered little assistance in the cultivation realm.
