As Xunuo organized other items, he discovered a strange talisman in a box covered with Divine Sense talismans. This talisman was more than twice the size of a typical palm-sized talisman, and it was adorned with a multitude of bizarre runes.
Xunuo, who was not well-versed in talisman techniques, found it natural that he could not understand the runes. However, having seen many talismans himself—nearly a thousand in total—he recognized the differences. Whether they were basic, intermediate, or advanced talismans, he had studied their runes. Yet, the runes on this particular talisman were entirely different from any he had encountered before. The only words he could decipher were "Great Illusion Concealment Talisman."
After some thought, Xunuo noted that aside from the spirit stone and five pills, the other items remained untouched. He placed these two storage bags separately into the Boundary Stone's Starlight Arena.
Four months later, Xunuo successfully advanced to the fourth stage of the first layer of Dan Jue. He sent a Sound Transmission Talisman to Xi Dao Jing, requesting assistance with his alchemy at Copper Sand Sea. Essentially, he was asking Xi Dao Jing to provide materials and help capture Crimson Fire Ants for his alchemy.
Upon receiving Xunuo's message, Xi Dao Jing hurried over with six accompanying cultivators. After explaining the situation to each other, Xi Dao Jing revealed a Flying Artifact with a flick of his hand. This artifact was shaped like a jujube seed and was brown, measuring only about one foot in length. However, once released, it instantly transformed into a thirty-foot-long ship resembling a jujube seed.
The ship had no cabin; it looked as if half of a jujube seed had been hollowed out. The remaining half was streamlined, with a one-foot-high bulwark around it and over ten grooves for embedding spirit stones on top.
Xi Dao Jing invited Xunuo aboard the Jujube Seed Ship. One of the accompanying cultivators began inserting spirit stones into the grooves. Afterward, Xi Dao Jing clapped at the bow of the ship, causing the Jujube Seed Ship to emit a flash of light. The hollowed-out section revealed a yellow Blue Shield, giving the ship a complete jujube seed shape and isolating its interior from the outside world. Then, with a soft sound, the Jujube Seed Ship lifted off the ground and sped toward Chaotic Valley.
This was Xunuo's first experience riding a Flying Artifact, and his curiosity led him to look around excitedly.

According to Xi Dao Jing, there were typically three types of artifacts: attacking, defensive, and flying artifacts. However, there was significant variation in their values; attacking artifacts had the most considerable price discrepancies among them.
The value of an Attacking Artifact can skyrocket, while the worst ones might not even be worth a Unity Pill. The process of refining an Attacking Artifact lacks a fundamental standard. When it comes to material purification and fusion, there are no distinctions; if this step is flawed, the artifact cannot be successfully crafted. However, the quality of materials and the combination of runes can vary greatly.
There is no need to elaborate on materials. Premium Materials and Substitute Materials are worlds apart in terms of both value and function.
But when it comes to runes, it entirely tests the skill of the Refiner. The effectiveness of a good artifact depends on which runes are infused, how many runes are used, and the ratios between them—all of this relies heavily on experience. Teaching by example may not have much effect. This is why the power of Attacking Artifacts can differ significantly, leading to vast price discrepancies. The advantage is that in Chaotic Valley, Attacking Artifacts are never in short supply.
In contrast, Defensive Artifacts are quite the opposite. A Defensive Artifact must undergo testing before it gains recognition and popularity among users. This is because Defensive Artifacts are meant for saving lives; there can be no room for carelessness.
If you fail to attack someone, it simply means you couldn't kill them. However, failing to defend against an opponent's attack could lead to death. Therefore, when Cultivators purchase Defensive Artifacts, their first step is to test the artifact's power.
Naturally, testing a Defensive Artifact requires using an Attacking Artifact for evaluation. Typically, they will seek out a powerful Attacking Artifact for this purpose.
Refiners rarely craft Defensive Artifacts because they do not want to tarnish their reputation. However, that does not mean they completely avoid making them. Generally speaking, a Refiner will strive to create at least one satisfactory Defensive Artifact in order to prove their worth.
Yet, this is a lengthy process. Some Refiners spend their entire lives collecting materials and researching runes just to craft one satisfactory Defensive Artifact.
Flying Artifacts hold a status similar to that of Attacking Artifacts but are more complex. They have requirements for speed, passenger capacity, and some even necessitate a degree of defensive capability. Thus, the prices of Flying Artifacts can vary dramatically.
The Flying Artifact from Xi Dao Jing focuses on passenger capacity while also providing some defensive capabilities; however, its speed leaves much to be desired. Xunuo felt that its speed was significantly higher than that of an Intermediate Flight Talisman. If this speed is already lacking, then a Flying Artifact purely focused on speed must be as fast as lightning. Nevertheless, Xunuo deeply appreciated the defensive capabilities of this Jujube Seed Ship; even now in the Desert Sea, he felt no hint of heat waves.
Xi Dao Jing maneuvered the Jujube Seed Ship straight into the Copper Sand Sea. In less than half a day, they surpassed the depth Xunuo had previously achieved while repairing his armor. Xi Dao Jing made no stops and continued advancing deeper into the Desert Sea until they suddenly crashed into a swarm of Crimson Fire Ants.
At this moment, Xi Dao Jing chuckled lightly and said, "This will do."
The Jujube Seed Ship came to a halt. Each of the seven individuals simultaneously produced a Condensation Pearl and tossed them outward. Instantly, a swarm of Crimson Fire Ants surrounded the Jujube Seed Ship, retreating like a tide. Xi Dao Jing was the first to leave the Jujube Seed Ship. Once a few others descended, Xi Dao Jing waved and retracted the Jujube Seed Ship.
One accompanying Cultivator immediately cast a spell, erecting a stone platform within the space enclosed by the Condensation Pearls. On the platform, they placed a Cauldron.
Xi Dao Jing turned to Xunuo and asked, "Does Xue Dao You need to make any preparations?"
Xunuo smiled and shook his head. "No need, we can proceed now."
Xi Dao Jing nodded, taking out ten sets of Unity Pill ingredients and placing them on the stone platform. He then withdrew to sit a hundred feet away. During the fusion process, Xunuo planned to supplement it with magical power, using it as a driving force for fusion while relying on Divine Sense to ensure that various medicinal properties blended seamlessly. While this method sounded simple in theory, its practical execution was exceptionally difficult. Despite Xunuo's extensive contemplation and demonstrations, when it came time to perform it himself, he felt nervous and inexperienced. Thus, he decided against injecting magical power initially and would rely solely on Mind Power for fusion. If he found it too difficult or beyond his capabilities, he would gradually replace Divine Sense with magical power.
