The Wuhua Sect hurriedly packed their belongings and set off before dawn. Yang Xinpeng, however, vanished that very night.
The ordinary disciples of the Wuhua Sect were unaware of the underlying circumstances and displayed their excitement openly. In contrast, several Hall Masters and brothers from the Seven Star Sword Hall returned to Five Flower Mountain with completely different emotions, caught between joy and despair.
At the entrance of the Wuhua Sect, the long-dusty plaque of the Wuhua Sword Sect had been hung up again. Flags fluttered on both sides of the mountain path, and colorful banners waved in the air. From the Wuhua Guildhall to Wuhua Mountain, drums and gongs filled the air, welcoming back dozens of people who had returned in glory.
Ximen Tower and others had not yet received news about Xunuo's upcoming visit to Heavenly Shadow Sect within the year, but their faces were still filled with smiles. Upon seeing Tian Feiyu and others' expressions, they sensed something was amiss and hurriedly inquired about any changes.

Xunuo's swordsmanship had already established him as the undisputed number one in Wuhua Sect. Even proud figures like Gao Weiji and Liu Yunfei treated him with great respect. In the grand hall of Five Flowers, Ximen Tower followed protocol and called upon Xunuo to make a request.
Xunuo clasped his hands together and said, "Disciple admires the unparalleled sharpness of the Killing Blade from Divine Blade Hall greatly. If I could obtain this blade, it would fulfill a long-held wish of mine. I hope Sect Leader can grant this."
Tian Feiyu's expression turned somewhat strange upon hearing this. For him, the Azure Wind Sword from Wuhua Sword Sect was far more precious. Although the Killing Blade was sharp, it would not bring any substantial benefit to Wuhua Sword Sect since it was primarily based on sword techniques. Therefore, giving away the Killing Blade would not weigh heavily on Ximen Tower's conscience.
However, the Killing Blade was fundamental to Divine Blade Hall. If it were given to Xunuo, it would undoubtedly undermine Divine Blade Hall's reputation. Listening below, Xunuo thought to himself: The old fox is trying to stall me like this. He clasped his hands seriously and said, "The sect has shown me such kindness that I am deeply grateful. I do have requests; however, I fear that elders might think I am being greedy by wanting more after receiving so much."
Ximen Tower laughed heartily and said, "What you have accomplished this time warrants ten or eight requests; that would not be excessive at all. Just go ahead and ask; we will certainly honor your wishes."
Xunuo said, "What I seek for my second request is also the Killing Blade."
Ximen Tower glanced at Gu Tianxiao, who had his head bowed in silence, his expression as cold as water. Ximen Tower thought to himself: It's not that I don't want to help you, but this junior won't be easily deceived.
Ximen Tower nodded at Xunuo and said, "There are rules in the sect; I will not go back on my word." He then shouted loudly, "Bring forth the Killing Blade."
The disciples of Divine Blade Hall looked at Gu Tianxiao, who silently nodded.
One disciple from Divine Blade Hall stepped forward, holding the blade with both hands, and approached Xunuo. Xunuo thought: This time, I've worked hard just for this blade; how could I let you deceive me and make my efforts in vain?
Xunuo grabbed the Killing Blade with one hand, sheathing it at his waist before stepping aside.
Xunuo's two requests for the Killing Blade left everyone in Wuhua Sect feeling perplexed. Only Azure Wind felt relieved: finally, they would not be disturbed by Divine Blade Hall's covetous eyes on their territory.
The celebration lasted half a day before it ended abruptly. Ximen Tower called a few Hall Masters to the back to celebrate. In truth, they were there to discuss a matter that was even more perplexing: the invitation from Heavenly Shadow Sect to Xunuo.
This issue immediately sparked two opposing viewpoints among the upper echelons of Wuhua Sect. One viewpoint insisted that they must not allow Xunuo to become enemies with Heavenly Shadow Sect; if necessary, they should be willing to give up on Xunuo. The other viewpoint argued that they should not hesitate to go to war with Heavenly Shadow Sect and absolutely not send Xunuo to her death there.
The two sides argued heatedly. Since Ximen Tower and Tian Feiyu held the latter viewpoint, advocating for Xunuo's safety gained a slight upper hand. The debate continued into the night before they decided to temporarily set the matter aside.
With Wuhua Sect regaining its reputation as a sword sect, Ximen Tower had already sent out invitations to surrounding sects in preparation for a grand celebration. The two sides decided to gather the leaders of each sect at that time to gauge their reactions and see if they could gain support for a united front against Heavenly Shadow Sect. They knew that if it were just Wuhua Sect alone, they would be utterly powerless against Heavenly Shadow Sect.
Meanwhile, Xunuo returned to Herb Valley in high spirits, eager to test the power of the Killing Blade. However, he found that some acquaintances had already been waiting for him in Herb Valley. Reluctantly, he had to spend some time mingling with them first.
By the time he sent them off, night had fallen. Xunuo eagerly took out the Killing Blade and examined it closely.
Although both the Killing Blade and Heavenly Shadow Spike were dark in color, upon closer inspection there were distinctions. The Heavenly Shadow Spike had hints of Azure Radiance within its blackness. When infused with magical energy, it emitted a dazzling blue glow that was captivating. In contrast, the Killing Blade was purely black; under the night sky, it seemed almost invisible as if it merged with the darkness itself. Only the hilt faintly glimmered with a golden sheen.
After a moment of contemplation, Xunuo realized that even in broad daylight, this Killing Blade would not shine brightly. It resembled an abyss that swallowed light without revealing even a hint of its brilliance.
Xunuo stared at the Killing Blade for a moment and silently recited the Object Manipulation Technique. He thought inwardly: Go.
Suddenly, he saw the Killing Blade slip from his hand and slowly fly toward the other end of the room. Xunuo was instantly petrified; this effect was completely contrary to what he had anticipated. Compared to Heavenly Shadow Spike's swift movements, the Killing Blade's slow flight was almost indistinguishable from an ordinary object.
