Xunuo retracted the Heavenly Shadow Spike, gripping the Boundary Stone tightly, and fixed his gaze on the towering green wall. After a moment of contemplation, he glanced at the Emerald Green Light Screen, nodding thoughtfully. A fierce determination flashed in his eyes as he rose and walked towards the Emerald Green Light Screen. With a furrowed brow, Xunuo approached the screen without considering the consequences and stepped boldly inside.
In an instant, Xunuo found himself in a vast jungle. The expanse of this primeval forest was beyond comprehension. Looking around, he saw endless greenery, with towering ancient trees reaching for the sky. Countless massive trunks stood upright, piercing the heavens. Thick vines as wide as barrels intertwined throughout, seemingly connecting the entire boundless forest into one.
A breeze rustled through the trees, creating a soft sound that startled Xunuo when it brushed against him. The air was saturated with Spiritual Energy, almost palpable. As it touched his body, it surged in like a flood seeking an outlet. His True Qi began to circulate involuntarily under the influence of this overwhelming Spiritual Energy, rapidly replenishing his Inner Strength with each breath.
Beneath Xunuo's feet lay a colossal White Jade Platform, ten zhang high and a thousand zhang wide. Surrounded by towering trees, it appeared as if a vast expanse of flat land had been carved out of the Endless Forest Sea. The surface of the White Jade Platform was intricately engraved with strange patterns. These patterns were deep blue and seemed to be naturally formed within the platform rather than merely etched on its surface, merging seamlessly with the entire structure. The White Jade Platform gleamed brilliantly, untouched by dust, radiating an enigmatic light under the sun.
Suddenly looking up, Xunuo's expression changed dramatically as he noticed four red suns hanging high in the sky. It was then that he vaguely realized that Duan Kong Wo's mention of traversing multiple realms was not mere fantasy. He feared that he was no longer in the mortal realm. With such abundant Spiritual Energy and vibrant Vitality, could it be that he had arrived in the celestial realm?
In his uncertainty, Xunuo fully activated his Divine Sense to probe in all directions but found that it could not reach the end of the forest sea; it was evidently vast and boundless.
The next moment, Xunuo's face lit up with joy as he discovered a direction where there was a spiritual spring even more abundant in Spiritual Energy than that within Duan Kong Wo's Cave—hundred times more so. Overwhelmed with happiness, Xunuo felt slightly dizzy. His excitement bubbled over as he shouted joyfully and sprinted towards that direction.
However, just as he entered the forest sea, Xunuo suddenly halted his steps and muttered to himself: "How foolish."
In his excitement, he had completely forgotten the purpose of this adventure.
Quickly raising the Boundary Stone to focus his attention, he noticed that the image resembling himself within it had vanished without a trace. Though slightly hesitant, Xunuo felt somewhat reassured. He decided to check it daily to see if there were any changes. At this point, he realized there was no better course of action than to take things one step at a time.
As for unexpectedly entering this space, Xunuo did not feel repulsed by it. Moreover, he did not believe he had the ability to leave on his own accord; instead, he was more than willing to accept this opportunity to cultivate here for some time before deciding what to do next.
As Xunuo contemplated the possibility of cultivating here for a while and glanced at his own bare form, he couldn't help but chuckle in disbelief. However, just as he took a couple of steps, the scenery before him rippled like water. Suddenly, he felt an invisible force pulling him back with great strength. In the next moment, Xunuo found himself back in that bizarre space filled with stars.
Slowly turning his body, Xunuo surveyed his surroundings. He confirmed that he was not in another place; instead, he stood at the center of this confined space surrounded by towering walls. It was exactly where he had first entered this realm, only this time facing the opposite direction.
If it weren't for the vine garment on him, Xunuo would have thought that what had just happened was merely a dream.
Xunuo mused to himself: being expelled from that celestial realm must have been due to inadvertently triggering some mechanism or perhaps there were restrictions on movement within that paradise.
This wasn't necessarily a bad thing for Xunuo. In fact, it meant he might have found a way to enter and exit this celestial realm at will. Being clever by nature, Xunuo quickly grasped this connection.
At the same time, he realized something important: whoever controlled this celestial realm did not harbor malicious intent. Otherwise, someone as insignificant as him would have been crushed without a second thought. Why go through the trouble of sending him back? As long as he remained cautious within this celestial realm and refrained from reckless actions, cultivating for a year or so to reach the seventh layer of the Huayang Classic should not be too difficult. In an environment where Spiritual Energy was so dense it felt almost tangible, even a pig could attain enlightenment.
With a slight sigh of contemplation, Xunuo stepped into the Emerald Light Barrier. The disorienting sensation he expected did not come as anticipated. Upon focusing his gaze, he realized he had walked straight through the Emerald Light Barrier and remained within this starry chamber.
Furrowing his brows in thought, Xunuo wondered if entering that celestial realm required some specific direction—perhaps one must enter from here and could not approach from the opposite side?
Turning around, Xunuo stepped back into the Emerald Light Barrier and instantly found himself emerging on the other side.
His brows knitted together in confusion. Looking back at the Emerald Green Light Screen thoughtfully for a moment, he then turned toward the Light Blue Barrier. The moment Xunuo stepped into the Light Blue Barrier, everything brightened before his eyes. When he focused again, he found himself back in the original Mysterious Cavern and still standing before the White Jade Tooth Bed. The jade tablet that had been floating in mid-air had lost its magical support and had already fallen onto the White Jade Tooth Bed.
Xunuo glanced at several items on the White Jade Tooth Bed and slowly retreated to the center of the Cave, beside the spiritual spring. On the ground lay Azure Edge, Heavenly Shadow Spike, and other items, all scattered without exception.
Xunuo paced thoughtfully for a long time.
Raising the Boundary Stone in hand, he murmured, "It seems that Senior Duan Kong Wo did not deceive me. This Boundary Stone is indeed mysterious and astonishing."
Unfortunately, Senior Duan Kong Wo had only left behind a few cryptic words. There was no clear method for utilizing this item, leaving Xunuo with a sense of guarding a treasure mountain in vain. Considering that such powerful beings who could traverse different realms had perished because of it only deepened his sighs.
After lamenting for a moment, Xunuo resolved to uncover the secrets of the Boundary Stone. Even if he could not fully grasp its mysteries, he wanted to understand it at least in general terms. This item was a precious treasure; if left unexamined, it posed unknown dangers. At critical moments, it might not save his life but instead become a tool that could endanger it.
Xunuo then stuffed the items on the ground into his vine clothing. He directed his Divine Sense into the Boundary Stone. In a moment of disorientation, he found himself in the Starlight Space. Looking again, he noticed that his own image was no longer within the Boundary Stone.
Regaining his focus, Xunuo approached the Emerald Light Barrier but still could not enter that ethereal space. Undeterred, he tried countless times using various methods but returned empty-handed each time. Finally, with a reluctant sigh, he abandoned this futile endeavor.
Throughout these numerous attempts, entering and exiting the Starlight Space had been seamless. A probe of Divine Sense into the Boundary Stone would lead him into this Starlight Space. Stepping through the Light Blue Barrier would allow him to exit this realm—simple as drinking water. However, one crucial point remained: without holding the Boundary Stone in hand, not only could he not enter this space, but even his Divine Sense could not penetrate the Boundary Stone at all.
Once Xunuo confirmed that he could no longer enter that ethereal realm, he felt a moment of confusion wash over him before setting aside the matter.
In this space spanning over a thousand feet, Xunuo searched carefully. Eventually, beneath a wall opposite the verdant high walls, he discovered what appeared to be a cabinet made of an unknown type of wood. To his delight, he found a storage bag at the very bottom of the shelf.
Joyful at this discovery, Xunuo attempted to place his items into the storage bag. The method for using storage bags had been introduced to him by Dongfang Yunqing before. Xunuo aimed the storage bag at Azure Edge and infused it with a bit of mana; with a pull of his Divine Sense, Azure Edge immediately flew into the storage bag.
