Xunuo felt an urgent need to restore his magical power. He had begun to realize that the forest he had entered was far beyond the area designated for beast extermination.
If the extermination activities were filled with such ferocious beasts, the members of the Martial Arts Sect would have long been devoured by them. There would be no one left to dare venture out for extermination; they would likely have relocated far away from danger.
This was indeed the place where Dongfang Yunqing had mentioned hunting beasts. To survive in such a location, Xunuo needed to quickly regain his magical power.
Upon entering the Cave, Xunuo headed straight for the pool of spiritual spring. He scattered his belongings haphazardly at the edge of the pool and leaped into the spring. With his palms resting on his knees and facing upward, Xunuo formed a hand seal and silently recited the Five Flower Sutra to cultivate. In an instant, a trace of True Qi condensed in his Dantian. Xunuo nodded inwardly, clearing his mind of distractions. He sent out a strand of Divine Sense to monitor the surroundings while fully immersing himself in his cultivation.
At this point, Xunuo had not thoroughly explored the Cave. He hadn't even examined whether the corpse on the White Jade Tooth Bed was male or female or how it had died. It wasn't that he was reckless; time was pressing. He had no idea that the two Wolf Demons outside had not entered this deep lake. All he knew was that the lake water was corrosive and could block Divine Sense. What he didn't realize was that it could also obstruct magical power. In other words, if those two Wolf Demons followed him into this deep lake, they too would be corroded.

If those two Wolf Demons caught up with him here, Xunuo would only have a chance to severely injure or even kill them using Heavenly Shadow Spike. The immediate danger was pressing; while unknown threats were frightening, they posed no immediate risk to his life. After countless years of sun exposure and rain erosion, the corrosive power in the lake had been diluted many times over, allowing some vitality to return to the vegetation along its banks. Yet, the corrosive force within the lake still possessed lethal power capable of annihilating all living beings; it had merely weakened over time. This explained why Xunuo had not been instantly corroded into nothingness upon entering the lake. The surrounding beasts were well aware of the lake's treacherous nature and dared not step foot near it.
Xunuo had always absorbed the surrounding True Qi while practicing the Huayang Classic. However, in this spiritual spring, as soon as he activated the Huayang Classic, the True Qi instantly penetrated his body and gathered towards his Dantian. It was truly a case of achieving twice the result with half the effort.
As Xunuo drew upon a strand of True Qi, it formed a delicate whirlpool within his Dantian. The True Qi that spread throughout the Dantian was stirred up. Following that strand of True Qi, it began to circulate. The True Qi in the spiritual spring seemed to have found an outlet, rushing into the Dantian. Under the attraction and pressure of that True Qi whirlpool, the True Qi gradually began to solidify.
Finally, at a certain moment, the whirlpool of True Qi at the very center of the Dantian revealed a bronze hue. At the same time, Xunuo's spirit surged, and a familiar sensation washed over him. He realized that this strand of True Qi was a manifestation of his current strength. Moreover, Xunuo had an inkling that if he could not return to this state for an extended period, he might risk falling from his Realm.
The formation of this tangible strand of True Qi immediately instilled a sense of confidence in Xunuo. The changes in his body seemed less significant. When this bronze-like tangible True Qi slightly expanded, Xunuo directed a portion of it to circulate through his Meridian in a grand cycle. The True Qi that had been rushing into his Dantian suddenly changed direction and followed this strand of True Qi.
Originally weak and slow-moving, this strand of True Qi began to accelerate under the push of the rushing True Qi. In no time, it completed a grand cycle. When it emerged from the Dantian, it had surprisingly thickened considerably. This process continued for over ten grand cycles.
Xunuo felt a slight stir within him as he rotated the True Qi in his Dantian for a moment. Suddenly, with a surge of Divine Sense, he split off a fine strand from the whirlpool of True Qi—thin as a hair—and sent it along his Meridian. Xunuo's control over his Divine Sense had become quite precise. He continuously extracted this delicate strand of True Qi, forming a flowing line that moved steadily.
This line of True Qi moved slowly yet firmly amidst the dense gathering of True Qi. It appeared weak and fragile but showed no signs of interruption or delay. Once this line of True Qi connected end to end, Xunuo finally let out a sigh of relief.
Connecting this line of True Qi was a significant test for Xunuo's Mind Power. After the ends met, its speed suddenly increased. Anticipating this moment, Xunuo evenly distributed his Mind Power throughout the flow of True Qi.
At this point, the speed at which the True Qi flowed no longer required Xunuo's control. With endless spiritual energy pouring in, the line of True Qi accelerated during its operation and grew larger in volume. Soon after, Xunuo entered a meditative state, allowing the True Qi to circulate freely without any issues.
Time passed without him noticing until suddenly Xunuo opened his eyes wide and stood up from the spiritual spring with a glint in his gaze. At this moment, he felt that his body was filled with abundant True Qi, and the aura he exuded was somewhat different from before.
This time during cultivation, not only had Xunuo filled himself with True Qi, but he also sensed signs of a potential breakthrough. However, knowing he was in dangerous territory and unfamiliar with his surroundings made him cautious; he dared not act recklessly. Once he regained his magical power, he resolved to understand this environment thoroughly.
The layout of this cave reminded Xunuo of when he was coerced by Gongsun Sheng and others to rob graves and encountered that Corpse Monster's cave. That Corpse Monster's lair also contained a pool of water at its center. Reflecting on it now, he suspected that pool must have been something extraordinary as well.
In this cave, aside from the spiritual spring, there was only the White Jade Tooth Bed against the stone wall. There was nothing else of note. Xunuo had already examined the corpse and knew it had been dead for countless years. It seemed tangible, yet it felt as if it would disperse upon contact.

Strangely, the wound was not fresh; it had already scabbed over. It seemed this person had dragged half of their body and survived for a long time.
Xunuo felt a chill run down his spine. He sighed and murmured, "To reach this point is beyond mere ferocity."
He extended his Divine Sense towards the White Jade Tooth Bed, paused in surprise, and probed again. His expression turned peculiar as he realized that the White Jade Tooth Bed had repelled his Divine Sense, preventing any further exploration.
Xunuo gathered his magical energy, intending to inject it into the bed for a test, but after a moment's thought, he withdrew his power. Such a formidable being's resting place must possess extraordinary qualities, not something he could disturb lightly.
On the White Jade Tooth Bed lay a jade slip and a pale yellow bracelet emanating faint spiritual energy. Xunuo glanced at them but did not touch them. Instead, his gaze fell upon the remaining left hand of the corpse. This hand was slightly closed, revealing a pigeon egg-sized green object nestled between its fingers.
Xunuo reached out to touch the object, and it slowly floated up. His Divine Sense also failed to penetrate it. Upon closer inspection, it was neither metal nor jade but an adorable shade of green. He then pointed at the jade slip, which also began to rise gently. When Xunuo extended his Divine Sense again, he discovered some inscriptions inside.
