In response, the Eastern Deity readily agreed, lifting the seal and heading to Huaxia. Back then, it indeed stirred up a storm in Huaxia Martial Arts. The various sects united against the Eastern Deity, entangled with it for many years, ultimately managing to defeat it. They initially intended to eradicate the Eastern Deity completely, but the deity was extremely cunning and used a technique to escape. Although it did not completely dismantle Huaxia Martial Arts, it severely weakened them, forcing them into seclusion for recovery. The Islanders also fulfilled their promise and built a shrine for the Eastern Deity in Hokkaido, Island Nation.
The journey to Huaxia left the Eastern Deity greatly weakened, so it hid within the shrine, secretly cultivating its strength. While the Eastern Deity managed to escape, the group of Onmyoji and martial arts experts from Island Nation who followed it were not so fortunate; nearly all were slain in Huaxia. For Huaxia Martial Arts, any foreign invasion of their territory warranted extermination.
Yo Yinan had been following closely behind the Eastern Deity. After its defeat and escape, he reacted quickly and fled immediately. Although he was gravely injured, he managed to escape by a stroke of luck. However, due to his severe injuries, he succumbed shortly after being returned home. After Yo Yinan's death, his corpse was taken by the Eastern Deity, which used his lingering resentment to forge a Vengeful Spirit servant that would serve its purposes.
After a century of cultivation, Yo Yinan's Vengeful Spirit grew stronger. With the Eastern Deity's assistance, he reshaped his body; however, this body was merely a skeleton. To truly become a flesh-and-blood person again would require a lengthy process. The first step was to marry a woman born at a time opposite to his own. The existence of a Vengeful Spirit defied the natural order; when one dies, their essence dissipates. By marrying a specific woman, he could harness her essence to deceive the laws of heaven and earth.
However, that night proved unfortunate for Yo Yinan. He had finally found a suitable bride but was interrupted by Jiang Chen. Now, his newly acquired body had been cleaved in two by Jiang Chen as well. Once again transformed into his Vengeful Spirit form, he twisted in mid-air, his black hole-like eyes glaring at Jiang Chen.
"Bastard! How dare you destroy my body? I will kill you!" Yo Yinan shouted angrily. Although his form had long since turned into a skeleton, he had preserved it well; he never expected that just after attaching himself to this body, it would be destroyed. How could he not be furious?
Takeda Kyoko quickly translated Yo Yinan's words for Jiang Chen. Upon hearing this, Jiang Chen waved his hand again, unleashing streaks of azure light that shredded Yo Yinan's skeletal form into pieces—truly turning it into fragments that were nearly impossible to piece back together.
Yo Yinan was enraged beyond measure; his Sha Qi surged toward Jiang Chen like a tidal wave. In response, Jiang Chen casually formed a Spirit Fire seal with one hand in mid-air. Instantly, flames erupted like a dragon and collided with the Sha Qi, which was promptly engulfed by the Spirit Fire and began to burn fiercely.
The Vengeful Spirit felt no pain but sensed life slipping away from him. Fearing light and fire, he could not endure being consumed by the Spirit Fire any longer. "Spare me! Put out the fire; I was wrong!" Yo Yinan wailed.
Seeing Yo Yinan on the verge of being burned alive brought a smile to Takeda Kyoko's face as she said, "You don't need to shout; Mr. Jiang is Huaxia People and doesn't understand our Island Language. If you want mercy, plead in Huaxia Language."
"Miss Takeda! Please convey my words quickly! I can't take it anymore!" Yo Yinan pleaded desperately.
