"Ding Ying is a good girl. I have endured her selfless rescues many times. Grandpa, if you have the time, please help her find peace. It's not right for her to exist in this world as a wandering soul." 0

Wei Qiuxi replied, "If I help her find peace, will you be able to let go?" 0

Wei Ning sighed, "At this point, my heart is already dead. I just want to escape from this mundane world and go accompany Qiqi properly." 0

Wei Qiuxi sensed that he had touched on Wei Ning's hidden feelings. After a moment of silence, he said, "Let's go out. We need to meet someone." 0

"Who?" Wei Ning frowned. 0

"You'll know when the time comes," Wei Qiuxi replied. 0

The grandfather and grandson emerged from the Ancestral Tomb without informing Wei Ning's mother and set off on their journey, moving swiftly. After a while, they arrived at a Mass Grave site. They passed through it and finally stopped at a village. Wei Ning frowned again, "The Evil Energy here is so heavy!" 0

"This village has been built on the Mass Grave for years, so it naturally carries some Eerie Aura. The person we are looking for is inside. Remember, once we enter, be cautious and don't disturb the circulation of Evil Energy," Wei Qiuxi instructed. 0

"What do you mean?" Wei Ning asked. 0

"Those inside are people suffering from terminal illnesses waiting to die. They believe they must have committed some sins in this life to be punished by fate, so they come here to atone," Wei Qiuxi explained. 0

"Atonement? How do they atone?" Wei Ning inquired. 0

"They offer their souls to Granny Wenmi in hopes of finding peace in the next life." 0

"Granny Wenmi?" 0

Wei Qiuxi chuckled lightly, "You'll understand when the time comes." 0

He led Wei Ning into the village. 0

Inside the village, there were very few people around. Occasionally, a few emaciated figures emerged as evening approached. Some were lazily lying on rocking chairs under the sun, seemingly lacking the strength to even get up. When they saw Wei Qiuxi and his grandson, they ignored them completely and did not greet them. 0

As they walked further in, they came across a dilapidated thatched hut. Wei Qiuxi straightened his clothes and took Wei Ning inside. The walls were covered with yellow talismans, and there was an apricot-colored altar with a blue porcelain vase on top. The contents of the vase were unknown. Three incense sticks were lit on the altar, releasing a gentle fragrance. 0

Wei Ning looked around; the Evil Energy in this room was palpable, yet no one appeared. 0

Wei Qiuxi addressed the altar, "Is Granny Wenmi here?" 0

A faint voice emerged from somewhere, weakly saying, "Here." 0

Slowly, an old man crawled out from inside the house, his spine seemingly broken, his face and hands covered in what looked like burn scars. One of his eyes bulged out as if it might fall out at any moment. He looked at Wei Ning and Wei Qiuxi, suddenly revealing a sparse grin of yellow teeth and said hoarsely, "What do you two want to calculate?" 0

"We want to calculate a person," Wei Qiuxi replied, her gaze sharp as she looked at Granny Wenmi. 0

Granny Wenmi nodded and asked, "Do you know the rules?" 0

Wei Qiuxi affirmed, "Ten years." 0

Granny Wenmi responded, "Twelve years." 0

Wei Qiuxi shook her head. "Ten years; that's not negotiable." 0

Seeing the strange conversation between the two, Wei Ning hurriedly asked, "What’s this about ten years and twelve years?" 0

Granny Wenmi looked up at Wei Ning and said, "To ask about a life once costs twelve years of Lifespan; that’s my rule." 0

Upon hearing this, Wei Ning exclaimed, "Grandpa, this..." 0

Wei Qiuxi nodded and said, "Fine then, twelve years it is. I agree." 0

Wei Ning quickly interjected, "Grandpa, how could you use your Lifespan? Wouldn’t that tarnish my name with disloyalty and unfiliality? Let Grandma use mine instead." 0

Wei Qiuxi smiled slightly. "Use yours? Why don’t you show your hand to this lady and see if she accepts your Lifespan?" 0

Feeling puzzled, Wei Ning extended his hand to Granny Wenmi. As soon as she took it, she shook her head and said, "You have no Lifespan to speak of. Don’t deceive me. Don’t deceive me." 0

Only then did Wei Qiuxi pull Wei Ning back and said to Granny Wenmi, "Look at mine instead." 0

Granny Wenmi replied, "Old age doesn’t count as Lifespan; youth doesn’t count as talent. Do you understand?" 0

Wei Qiuxi nodded. "I’m aware; I just want to know where a person is." 0

Granny Wenmi nodded back. "That’s not difficult. But old man, you need to think carefully; you don’t have many twelve years left. Think it through." 0

Wei Qiuxi nodded in understanding, but Wei Ning was unwilling. How could he bear to let his grandfather lose twelve years of Lifespan? He hurriedly said, "Grandpa, let’s forget it. It’s not worth it. We can find him ourselves." 0

Wei Qiuxi sighed and said, "He is as cunning as a fox, and with such great power, how can we find him? Ning'er, you must understand that this is your grandfather's lifelong wish. Even if he has lost these twelve years of lifespan, what does it matter? Grandmother, please begin." 0

Taking advantage of Wei Ning's unpreparedness, Wei Qiuxi quickly placed a binding talisman behind her. Suddenly, Wei Ning found herself unable to move, watching helplessly as her grandfather was questioned. 0

Granny Wenmi poured a heap of crushed rice from a bottle on the Apricot Yellow Platform and glanced at Wei Qiuxi. With an eerie energy, she said, "Report the birth date and time of the person you wish to inquire about." 0

Wei Qiuxi provided the details, and Granny Wenmi placed the heap of crushed rice on the Apricot Yellow Platform. Suddenly, she swallowed the rice in one gulp and looked at Wei Qiuxi. The smoke on the platform thickened, filling the room with a chilling aura that sent shivers down one's spine. Granny Wenmi's eyes widened in shock, and her body began to tremble uncontrollably. Suddenly, she foamed at the mouth and fainted. 0

"Grandmother! Grandmother!" After a long moment, seeing that Granny Wenmi had not yet regained consciousness, Wei Qiuxi felt a surge of anxiety. He hurriedly shook her, and only then did she slowly awaken. Upon seeing Wei Qiuxi, her face turned pale with terror as she exclaimed, "Child, are you here to harm me?" 0

Wei Qiuxi was confused. Granny Wenmi continued, "The person you wish to inquire about is neither in the afterlife nor in hell; they are an ominous being that has transcended the cycle of reincarnation. You want me to connect with the spirit world while offending the Yin People? Are you trying to get me killed?" 0

Wei Qiuxi despondently replied, "Is it possible that even you cannot divine this?" 0

Granny Wenmi urgently said, "You all need to get out of here! You are not welcome! Leave quickly! I refuse to conduct this business; I do not want your twelve years of lifespan! Get out! Get out!" 0

With disappointment etched on his face, Wei Qiuxi sighed and left with Wei Ning. Once outside, he sighed deeply again and said, "If even Granny Wenmi cannot handle him, is there truly anything below that can contain him?" 0

At that moment, darkness enveloped them. Wei Qiuxi's expression grew gloomy as he prepared to leave with Wei Ning when suddenly she sensed something familiar trailing behind them. A flicker of realization crossed Wei Ning's mind. 0
