Suddenly, Wang Tuozi took out the unknown inscription that Wei Ning had made from the grave and handed it to Meng Ge, saying, "Take a look at this. I don't recognize it. It's carved on the coffin lid. You know the Ghost Gate best; see what you can make of it." 0

Meng Ge accepted the rubbing from Wang Tuozi, furrowing his brow as he examined it for a moment. "This should be Nüshu; very few people can recognize it now. Just keep it with me for now, and I'll show it to Peng Bai later. He loves studying these boring things." He then tucked the rubbing back into his clothing, adding some spices to the fire pit and carefully adjusting the head slightly, rotating it with caution. "If you want, you could come with me to see Peng Bai; he might be interested in your apprentice." 0

Wang Tuozi quickly waved his hand. "Please spare me; I really don't want to meet that old monster—he's still around?" 0

"Yes, it's been nearly twenty years. He's always been there." 0

"You guys really need to stop hiding in this godforsaken place, especially that Old Ghost Peng Bai. If he stays in Burning Corpse Forest for too long, he won't even know if he's human or ghost anymore. Sometimes you need to get some fresh air; things have changed a lot outside. Look at my old man; he's keeping up with the times. I'm even starting to learn English now—do you know what that is? The language of Foreign Devils! Haha. Want me to teach you?" 0

Meng Ge replied calmly, "Maybe another time." 0

After chatting for a while longer, Wang Tuozi left with Wei Ning. 0

Meanwhile, in a wooden house somewhere in the village, a sinister voice echoed uncomfortably: "Girl, I had Meng Ge send you the Beast Soul. With this, your Curse Poison should be lifted within three years. Just remember your promise to me when that time comes." 0

A girl's voice coldly responded, "Don't worry. When my grandfather sent me here, I was already mentally prepared. You saved my life; you can take it whenever you please." 0

The voice chuckled darkly. "That's good to hear. Unfortunately, I've been restricted and can't step outside this Burning Corpse Forest even once. I won't have the chance to see that Wei Family boy or meet the Undying Bone. If I had that thing, would this broken place still be able to hold me?" 0

"He shares the Wei surname too?" The girl murmured to herself. "I wonder how that child is doing now—has he become braver than before?" 0

Suddenly, a Black Cat leaped up and let out a piercing meow that shattered the night's tranquility. 0

After Wang Tuozi brought Wei Ning home, the first thing he did was gather some willow wood to build a small house for Liu Linglang, placing it by Wei Ning's bedside. He then prepared some incense and candles. Following Wang Tuozi's instructions, Wei Ning pricked his index finger, letting a drop of blood fall onto the bead. However, nothing unusual happened, leaving Wei Ning feeling a bit disappointed. After a few busy hours, he was exhausted and decided to tidy up before going to bed. 0

Time passed, and Wei Ning lost track of how long he had been asleep. Suddenly, he woke up and groggily walked outside. He had no idea how far he had wandered when he spotted a child ahead, holding a rattle and bouncing towards him while singing a nursery rhyme: "Liu Linglang, Liu Linglang, born by the ancient path in the wild, who will invite me to be the Divine General, so I won't suffer the wind and frost in the wilderness." 0

Intrigued, Wei Ning approached and asked, "Who are you? It's so late; why are you here alone? Where's your mother?" 0

The child tilted their head and replied, "I am you, and you are me." 0

Wei Ning laughed and said, "That's impossible! I am me, and you are you." 0

The child shook the rattle and blinked innocently. "Then who are you? Who am I?" 0

Wei Ning replied, "My name is Wei Ning. What's your name?" 0

The child answered, "I’m also called Wei Ning!" 0

Wei Ning chuckled again. "That's impossible! I am me, and you are you. You’re just a little kid trying to fool me." 0

The child made a funny face and laughed. "I'm leaving! I won't tell you. Anyway, you have to play with me often from now on." With that, they shook the rattle and bounced away while humming the nursery rhyme. 0

"Don't go!" Wei Ning felt anxious and chased after them. "You still haven't told me who you are!" 0

The child turned back with another silly face and teased, "Guess! Guess! Guess!" 0

Wei Ning wanted to chase after that child, but no matter how fast he ran, he could never catch up. Suddenly, he tripped and fell to the ground. 0

Wei Ning sprang up; it turned out he had just been dreaming. The night outside was cool and refreshing. He got up to drink a cup of tea and noticed that the oil lamp in front of Liu Linglang's room seemed to flicker even more vigorously. Wei Ning adjusted the wick of the lamp and went back to sleep. 0

After a while, Wei Ning's mother called to urge him to return home. The school had already started registration, and Wei Ning suddenly remembered the beginning of the school year. He exchanged a quick greeting with Wang Tuozi and hurried home. 0

From then on, every summer vacation, Wei Ning came to Wang Tuozi's place to learn. Wang Tuozi was generous with his knowledge; whatever Wei Ning wanted to learn, Wang Tuozi taught him diligently. Before they knew it, five years had passed. Wei Ning had grown from a naive child into a graceful young man. His handsome face attracted the attention of many girls in his class, yet Wei Ning seemed indifferent to them. Aside from going to and from school, he spent his time studying the Dao Techniques that Wang Tuozi had assigned him. After several girls faced rejection, others stopped trying to approach him. However, rumors about Wei Ning's sexual orientation quietly spread throughout the class. Wei Ning paid no mind; without the girls' entanglements, he felt relieved. After all, his focus was elsewhere. Under Wang Tuozi's careful guidance, Wei Ning finally opened his "Xiu Men" at the age of seventeen. Recently, he sensed some changes at the "Sheng Men" as well. According to Wang Tuozi, being able to open the Xiu Men at seventeen made Wei Ning the second person after him to achieve this feat among those he knew. Wang Tuozi encouraged Wei Ning to continue his training and strive to reach his level by the age of thirty. This left Wei Ning feeling somewhat frustrated. 0

The child who had appeared in Wei Ning's dreams began showing up regularly since then, always demanding that Wei Ning take him out to play. Wei Ning realized this child was Liu Linglang and patiently indulged him, following his master's teachings without any slack over the years. However, this mischievous spirit seemed only interested in playing and nothing else. Sometimes in dreams, Wei Ning found himself quite annoyed by him, often waking up with dark circles under his eyes from lack of sleep during class. Some classmates speculated that it was due to Wei Ning's "rich nightlife." 0

Only in the stillness of night did Wei Ning secretly think about that girl. People often ponder during the day and dream at night, but whenever Wei Ning tried to meet that girl in his dreams, Liu Linglang would appear as if he had received advance notice and ruin Wei Ning's chances, depriving him of his dream encounters. 0

Wei Ning felt truly frustrated; his only consolation was that at eighteen years old, without losing an ounce of youthful vitality, Boys' Urine should be quite impressive. 0

Time flew by, and soon it was the year when many people's fates would be decided: the college entrance examination. 0

Since most of Wei Ning's thoughts were focused on practicing Dao Techniques rather than academics, he didn't pay much attention to studying. He remained in a mediocre position among his classmates—capable of passing into a vocational program but finding it difficult to get into a prestigious university. Wei Mother rarely worried about Wei Ning's studies; she understood her son's ambitions lay elsewhere and let him be. 0

On Wei Ning's first Qingming Festival as an adult, Wei Mother asked him to take a day off from school because there were matters to attend to at home. 0
