"Soft!" The creature's lips twitched, and the Crimson Evil seemed to have gained a semblance of humanity, a glimmering liquid flickering in its not yet fully formed eyes. 0

"Inferno!" The creature suddenly stood up as if illuminated by a flash of light, using all its strength to let out a ghastly scream with its voice, which had been damaged by lightning. 0

Suddenly, a crimson hue began to spread from the creature, consuming everything in its path and turning it red. Wei Qiuxi's expression tightened as he drew a magical symbol in the air. The red began to encroach upon the grave where he stood, threatening to devour the talismans Wei Qiuxi had laid down. He repeatedly tapped the talismans with his Copper Coin Sword, the yellow symbols and the red light clashing like a tug-of-war. After a while, the red light halted in the middle of the talismans. Wei Qiuxi sighed in relief, exhaling deeply, beads of sweat already forming at the corners of his eyes and temples. 0

Looking over at the creature, both it and the Crimson Evil, along with the pitiful Secretary Yang, as well as several nearby graves, had turned red; only the grave they occupied remained unchanged. 0

"What is this thing?" This so-called Inferno lacked the thunderous momentum it had earlier. Zhang Ye had initially held some expectations but was now utterly disappointed. 0

At that moment, a gust of wind swept through, and with a loud crash, those graves that had been stained red collapsed like weathered sandcastles, turning into piles of crimson dust. The two bodies remained motionless, their forms disintegrating into fine particles that began to dance slowly in the mountain breeze, creating an eerie scene. 0

Who had ever witnessed such an uncanny situation? Everyone stood frozen in shock, unable to move for a moment. 0

After what felt like an eternity, Zhang Ye swallowed hard. "This... this seems to be somewhat interesting." 0

Just as he was about to step forward, Wei Qiuxi quickly stopped him. "Don't move! It's at least several thousand degrees here right now. If you go out there, you'll meet the same fate as those people." 0

Zhang Ye was startled and quickly withdrew his foot, sheepishly saying, "I’ve been tired all night; I think I’d better take a nap first since there’s nothing to do right now." 0

A night passed without incident. 0

The next morning, Wei Qiuxi stood up and tested the red sand outside with his Copper Coin Sword. "It should be safe to leave now; it should have cooled down." 0

"What about the Drought Corpse?" 0

"We probably didn't practice enough, right? I don't know. It's a pity that this person's decades of hard work have gone to waste," Wei Qiuxi sighed as he looked at the spot where the strange person had been, now reduced to a pile of red powder. 0

"Damn, so we wasted our whole night?" Zhang Ye cursed. "Now your God of Joy has also been cremated in response to the party's call. You won't grab a handful of this stuff and go back to your boss saying, 'I went out as the God of Joy and returned with ashes'? We should all break free from feudal superstitions and actively respond to the national call to support cremation. Ha ha." 0

"I'll explain this myself when I get back, no need for you to worry. Today, I will remember your help for a lifetime. If you ever need assistance in the future, just come find me from the Wei Family. Even if I'm not around, as long as it's someone from the Wei Family, they will definitely help you with all their might." 0

"Forget it, as long as you don't wrong us again in the future," Zhang Ye waved his hand dismissively. "Now that we have family planning in place, I estimate that your Wei Family's descendants will be few and far between. Relying on them doesn't seem reliable anymore." 0

At that moment, Zhang Laosi suddenly interjected, "I remember what you said about betting your life yesterday. Does that mean if your talisman couldn't withstand the Inferno back then, wouldn't we all be like them now, turned into a pile of red sand?" 0

"That's no longer important, is it? What matters is that we are all alive now." 0

Zhang Laosi nodded in understanding and fell silent. 0

"Then let's part ways here today. May we meet again amidst the green mountains and clear waters," Wei Qiuxi clasped his hands together and said. 0

"Alright, Zhang Ye, kid's dad, let's go." With that, Zhang Laosi led the way down the mountain. 0

Zhang Ye walked over to Wei Ning with a grin and said, "Hey, is that thing of yours still doing well? You better make sure to bring some glory to your brother in the future. Don't just jump at any girl you see; pick someone with class. Heh heh, do you want me to teach you how to use that thing?" 0

He then mischievously reached toward Wei Ning's lower body, startling her so much that she quickly ran behind Wei Qiuxi, her face flushed with embarrassment as she shouted, "Pervert!" 0

Seeing Wei Ning's flustered reaction filled Zhang Ye with a sense of satisfaction and he couldn't help but burst into laughter. 0

But when he met his father's icy gaze, he could no longer muster a smile. 0

"By the way," Wei Qiuxi seemed to remember something and said, "I don't have any talismans left on me, but I do have some Cinnabar. Take it and apply it to yourselves—you've encountered the God of Joy and have already been affected by Corpse Poison. I didn't have time to give it to you earlier. A couple of applications should do the trick." 0

Zhang Laosi took the Cinnabar and glanced at Wei Qiuxi with a strange expression. Wei Qiuxi cleared his throat, trying to mask his own embarrassment. 0

Watching the three members of the Zhang Clan walk away, Wei Qiuxi turned to Wei Ning and said, "Let's go too; we should head back to the Corpse Driver Inn." 0

At that moment, Wei Ning was playing with a stone he had picked up. The stone was entirely crimson and unusually smooth. Wei Qiuxi asked curiously, "What is that? Where did you get it?" 0

"I just found it on the ground. It looked fun, even more so than a glass marble, so I picked it up." 0

"Oh," Wei Qiuxi said as he toyed with the Red Ball for a moment before handing it back to Wei Ning. "Take good care of it." 0

Wei Ning happily tucked the stone away and bounced ahead, while Wei Qiuxi sighed behind him. He felt a trickle of red liquid unexpectedly flow from his nose. He touched it with his hand and let out a long sigh. At that moment, how could the grandson with his new toy know that his grandfather's heart was churning with tumultuous waves? 0

After Wei Qiuxi and Wei Ning left, Zhang Ye sneaked back, picking up the massive words of the Demon Wolf and flicking them behind his knife. 0

"Whether it's useful or not, you'll only know after trying," he said, letting his hands dangle from the knife as he wobbled down the mountain. 0
