"Right!" Wei Qiuxi slapped his forehead, realizing why he wanted that God of Joy... What a disaster. 0

Wei Qiuxi's expression suddenly changed dramatically. "If he really raised it, then that wouldn't be..." 0

Wei Ning looked at his usually calm grandfather, who was now startled by the coffin partially buried in the ground. He couldn't help but tug at his grandfather's sleeve, seeking clarification. 0

Wei Qiuxi glanced around and led Wei Ning to hide behind a relatively larger tombstone. He began to explain, "A person has Three Souls and Seven Spirits. The soul is good while the spirit is evil. When a person dies, it's like a lamp being blown out; the soul and spirit are lost, marking the true end of life and entry into Reincarnation. However, if only the soul leaves the body while the spirit remains, the body will become a Zombie. The art of corpse raising forcibly pulls the spirit back into the body, allowing it to cultivate into a Zombie. This practice usually takes place in locations deemed extremely malevolent in feng shui, with part of the coffin exposed to absorb Earth Spirit energy. White rice and chicken blood are used for offerings, and periodically, a Black Cat must be killed to 'urge the corpse.' The older the Black Cat, the better; its blood is sprinkled on the grave, and its body is buried at the foot of the coffin. If this occurs in an extremely dangerous Corpse Raising Ground, combined with favorable timing and conditions, results can be seen in forty-nine days. After forty-nine days, the corpse raiser checks the coffin at dusk; if fine white hairs cover the body, it is called 'White Fury,' while black hairs indicate 'Black Fiend.' The method of corpse raising is a great evil technique, and Zombies are not easy to control; otherwise, one risks being harmed by their own creation. What you saw on that Coffin Lid is a Corpse Controlling Pattern designed specifically to prevent backlash from Zombies. However, this coffin seems to have been buried for several decades; it likely has nothing to do with this being a Corpse Raising Ground." 0

"Dad, why did that person choose to raise a corpse here?" 0

"Because leaving the body here makes it least likely to be discovered." 0

Wei Ning pouted. "Naturally, it must be somewhere others can't find." 0

"Hehe," Wei Qiuxi smiled slightly. "Among a pile of corpses is indeed the hardest place to notice something unusual. Similarly, doing such things in Grave Hill is quite convenient; who would come here for leisure?" 0

Wei Qiuxi continued, "This person must have had great grievances; otherwise, why would they resort to such malicious dark arts for revenge?" 0

"Revenge?" 0

"Of course! They must want to raise a Zombie to take revenge for them. Sigh, what other force besides hatred would drive someone to risk condemnation by practicing such dark arts?" 0

At that moment, someone was coming up the mountain. Wei Qiuxi stopped speaking and shrank back to hide. 0

The two individuals approached the location of Wei Qiuxi. The person in front held a snake-skin bag in one hand and a white stick wrapped in cloth in the other, with a piece of white fabric hanging from the tip of the stick. 0

Following closely behind was a figure dressed in white, walking stiffly and mimicking the movements of the person with the stick. The stick moved back and forth as if directing the actions of this rigid individual. 0

As they entered, the white-clad person's face appeared extremely pale, their features twisted, eyes sunken deep into their sockets, nearly invisible. A Sophora Wood nail was lodged in their throat; this was none other than Wei Qiuxi's God of Joy, Secretary Yang. 0

"Indeed, it's here," Wei Ning exclaimed quietly upon seeing the God of Joy, nearly calling out loud. Wei Qiuxi quickly covered his mouth and pressed him down beneath a mound of earth, both peering through the gaps between stones at the scene before them. 0

Wei Qiuxi made a gesture for silence and whispered in a tone barely audible to Wei Ning, "Don't move. Let's see what he’s up to. Do you see that Corpse Driving Stick? It's someone from the Mayan Wu Family." 0

The man approached the Corpse Raising Ground and squatted down, a flicker of surprise crossing his face before vanishing. He took three candles from the snake-skin bag, lit them, and placed them on the ground before bowing three times toward the coffin. Next, he pulled out a Black Cat from the bag and forcefully slashed its throat with his nails. Blood gushed forth immediately, and he quickly grabbed a bowl to catch it. The Black Cat convulsed several times, letting out a chilling scream that echoed hauntingly across Grave Hill before its voice faded into silence. 0

As night fell deeper, an eerie stillness enveloped Grave Hill. Countless tombstones loomed like specters; some began to emit greenish Ghost Fire, adding an unsettling aura to the atmosphere. 0

"Daddy, what is he doing?" Wei Ning couldn't help but ask. 0

"He's summoning corpses. Stay quiet and watch," Wei Qiuxi replied softly, wary of startling him. 0

The man dipped his finger into the bowl filled with Black Cat blood and pressed it against the God of Joy's forehead. Then he suddenly drank the cat's blood in one gulp, spitting a spray of blood onto the Coffin Lid. 0

The Corpse Controlling Pattern on the Coffin Lid began to glow brighter and brighter, turning increasingly red. Strangely enough, the cat's blood pooled on the ground without soaking into the earth; instead, it spread out like mercury, covering an area roughly the size of a coffin. The blood continued to accumulate until it gradually turned black before suddenly vanishing completely. 0
