She set off. 0

I know. 0

She went to Northshire. 0

Hmm. 0

You're really not going to stop her? 0

Not stopping her. 0

Is it still for that ridiculous reason of yours? 0

If you think that reason is ridiculous in your eyes... then yes. 0

Is that reason not ridiculous? 0

Of course it is. 0

Then there’s nothing more ridiculous in this world. 0

You have a bias. 0

Bias? I crossed the vastness of the starry sky to come to this planet, just to be accused of having a bias by you? 0

You could have chosen not to come. 0

Why shouldn't I come? 0

You simply shouldn't have come. 0

If I don't come, you can watch the world end without any guilt? 0

No, this world will not end, it never will. Even the Great Old One would not choose to destroy a planet. 0

But they will annihilate all Living Beings on this planet... right? 0

Of course, they often do. 0

So you don't care at all, do you? After all, it’s only those creatures living in this world that will die; the world itself remains unaffected... and of course, it has no impact on you either. 0

Yes, it has no impact. 0

Even if the entire world were to be destroyed and this planet became a complete dead world, it wouldn’t matter. Soon enough, new beings will emerge on this planet and create their own world, so humanity's existence is of no concern, right? 0

Yes, humanity's existence is merely a trivial snapshot in the history of this planet. They will not be the first living beings in this world, nor will they be the last. 0

So you can watch them march toward extinction without any guilt? 0

Guilt? Would you feel sorrow for the bacteria that inhabit your body? 0

But humans are not bacteria! 0

Of course, they are not. But they are not much superior either. 0

Your indifference disgusts me. 0

This is merely my duty. 0

Duty? Your duty is to watch humanity perish? 0

If the future chooses the extinction of humanity, then I will choose to observe. 0

I suddenly feel that talking to you is simply a waste of time, no matter how much I say. Your indifference will not change anything. 0

You should have realized that by now. 0

Hmph! 0

Where are you going? 0

To do what I must! 0

Like what? 0

To save this broken world. 0

That is neither your responsibility nor something you can do. The future of this world must be decided by itself; you cannot interfere. 0

Pah! 0

Please, don’t get agitated. I won’t stop you, since you’ve already made your decision. So feel free. Just a reminder, though: with your identity, interfering in this world’s future might bring about some rather unpleasant consequences. 0

That is not something you need to worry about. 0

I’m just reminding you. 0

Thanks! No need! 0

Then let’s part ways here… I feel like I may never see you again. 0

"Are you not happy then? Once I leave, no one will bother you anymore." 0

"Happy? No. I won't be happy. You are the first deity to come and talk to me in these 4.6 billion years. In fact, what I'm thinking is... I will miss you, Mr. Qin Hao." 0

... 0

When he woke up in the early morning, he had already crossed the equator and arrived near the South Pacific. 0

The intense power of the Evil God, which he had been using continuously throughout the night, began to cause a dull pain in his forehead. 0

Compared to the immense power within him, this human body was ultimately too weak to bear it. Perhaps in terms of power, he had already become an Evil God. But the strength of his body was holding him back. 0

He simply refused to abandon his human form for a grotesque appearance. 0

Although he knew this would make him very tired, he had no intention of changing it. 0

Having lived as a human for over twenty years, he would continue to live as a human until he faced decay—if Evil Gods could decay at all. 0

For the Great Old Ones, death was almost an impossible occurrence; they were eternal and immortal unless they willingly ceased to resist. Otherwise, they could only be sealed away at most. 0

Of course, there were exceptions. 0

However, achieving such feats required extremely complex and harsh conditions, along with long years of planning and preparation. 0

Acha had meticulously plotted for tens of thousands of years. She even relied on the remnants of Cthulhu's power to suppress Hastur and Cthulhu's abilities just to barely defeat those two Evil Gods. 0

Without the Eldritch Field laid down by Cthulhu's remnants, she would have had no means to deal with those two foes; at best, she could only seal them away. 0

For instance, even the essence and power of Cthulhu, as an Evil God, were devoured by Acha, and its remnants were scattered across the world. Yet it still survived tenaciously, planning a comeback—indicative of the resilience typical of a Great Old One. 0

However, under the shroud of the Eldritch Field, even an immortal Great Old One would face annihilation. 0

Whether it was Chu Donglin or the Evil God Cthulhu, this time, failure would mean utter death. 0

Thus, this was a battle that could truly determine the fate of the world; the victor would decide whether humanity would face destruction or rebirth. 0

"Are you afraid?" 0

A woman's voice echoed in his ear, accompanied by her ever-enchanting smile that could intoxicate anyone. 0

"You don't need to fight to the death for a bunch of insignificant mortals. You could easily leave this planet and seek a life you desire among the stars. This universe is far more vast than you can imagine, and your future holds a broader stage. There's no need to gamble your precious life for a group of humble mortals, is there?" 0

Her long hair danced in the wind, and the hem of her dress fluttered gracefully. 0

The woman named Acha appeared silently at the bow of the Lonely Boat, playfully saying so. 0

In her hands, two fans twirled lightly, and her form-fitting qipao accentuated her alluring curves. Her snow-white thighs were fully exposed to Chu Donglin's gaze due to her seated position. 0

Yet he merely scoffed. 0

"You really are relentless, Nyarlathotep. Even in death, you cling to me?" 0

The woman chuckled lightly. 0

"I'm just concerned seeing you walk towards destruction all alone. So I thought I'd accompany you on your final journey. What? Am I not welcome?" 0

"Not welcome." 0

"Hey... that's quite a cold response. You're really hurting me here. My dear man, can't you be a little nicer to me?" 0

"Well, you're already dead." 0

"Exactly because I'm dead, I need your care even more. Don't humans respect the deceased? So why can't I see that virtue in you?" 0

"Because you won't leave me alone... Didn't you already move on to eternal oblivion? Why haven't you completely disappeared? Is it fun to keep haunting me with these lingering memories?" 0

"You don't like it?" 0

"I don't." 0

"Why not?" 0

"Because of your presence. I've come to reaffirm something: everything is part of your plan, which is why my actions trigger the images you left behind... Whether it's killing the Evil God or sailing out alone, these were all anticipated... or planned by you. I hate feeling manipulated." 0

Acha giggled, "Chu Donglin. My lovely man, you're overthinking it. This is all your own choice; I had no way to interfere. The reason I foresaw everything is that I deeply understand what kind of person you are. So I know exactly what choices you'll make in the future; it's not me controlling your actions, but rather you choosing this outcome yourself." 0

"A grandiose justification." 0

"Hehe... my adorable man, you know my reasons are not just grandiose; I genuinely care about everything concerning you." 0

"I'm sorry, but I don't need your concern." 0

"Are you really resisting me this much?" 0

"Naturally." 0

"Why? Am I not good enough for you? Look. I've selflessly passed all my power to you, even before dying, I was painstakingly calculating your future, trying hard to pave a smooth path for you... I've worked so hard for you. And this is how coldly you treat me?" 0

"But without you, I wouldn't have to go through all of this... or this world wouldn't need to experience it. Without you, there would be no arrival of Hastur and Cthulhu, nor the awakening of the Evil God Cthulhu, and there wouldn't be an Apocalyptic Crisis. Your plan has destroyed everything I once had. Many of my friends and family have died tragically because of your scheme, and they can never come back." 0

Acha scoffed, her expression one of indifference. 0

"Even if I didn't do this, when Cthulhu breaks free from its seal in the future, it would awaken and then destroy this world. The Old Gods sealed it on this planet, which means that if Cthulhu doesn't die, the ultimate fate of all living beings on this planet won't be good." 0

"But without you, how long would it take for Cthulhu to break free? A billion years? Or a hundred billion years? By then, humanity would have long been completely destroyed, right?" 0

Acha chuckled lightly. 0

"It wouldn't take that long. Earth can last another six billion years at most before your star's lifespan runs out and it expands into a massive red giant. At that point, the outer layers of the sun will swell, extending to the current orbits of Earth or Mars. That means Earth will be engulfed by the expanding sun with a bang... Of course, I believe that long before that happens, humanity will have already perished." 0

Chu Donglin looked at her coldly. "I know all of this." 0

"Then why do you still have an issue with me? Humanity is destined to perish sooner or later; does it really make a difference whether it's sooner or later?" 0

"Of course it makes a difference... and a significant one." 0

"Tsk tsk... Chu Donglin, my dear man, your thoughts are still stuck in the shallow stage of humanity. Don't forget, you are now one of the three Great Old Ones, Nyarlathotep. Time and space mean nothing to you; life and death cannot shake your heart... Why do you still hold such superficial thoughts? It's truly beyond my understanding." (To be continued) 0
