In January 2006, during the early morning hours at five o'clock, a fierce battle was taking place in Meteorite Crater. Amidst the chaos, a human female major named Shu Yuyao pushed open a dark door.
This location was a remote wilderness forest, several miles away from Jiang Hai, almost unknown to outsiders.
The door that Shu Yuyao opened was classified at the highest level of secrecy within the military. Even General Ban Guozhi, holding the rank of general, was completely unaware of its existence.
Without the appropriate identity and mission, even the highest-ranking officers would struggle to uncover the existence of this door.
Inside lay a nuclear bomb of significant yield.
With its power, this bomb could instantly erase a large portion of Jianghai City. The subsequent nuclear contamination and radiation issues would render the land within a hundred miles uninhabitable for a century.
However, like all nuclear weapons in the world today, this bomb had lost its functionality.
The system's failure and personnel mutations had rendered this base completely sealed off and isolated from the outside world. A nuclear bomb that could not be launched was no different from scrap metal.
But as the door swung open, this underground base, which had been cut off from the world for several months since the apocalypse began, reconnected with the outside.
A red-haired girl entered behind Shu Yuyao.
She was not very tall, her hair styled in cute twin ponytails that suited her age, adding a touch of charm to her otherwise wooden expression.
As she stepped into the air-stale underground base, her indifferent gaze swept around before finally settling on Shu Yuyao.

She passed by Shu Yuyao and walked deeper into the base.
"This place truly hides the weapons of the Evil God."
Along the way, the researchers who had turned into Zombies did not lunge at the two living beings. Instead, they huddled in corners, trembling in fear as if they had encountered some terrifying demon.
Thanks to the operation of the base's dedicated Generator, this abandoned facility had not yet lost power, providing the two with an opportunity to act.
They made their way unimpeded to the Core Control Room. Upon seeing the Control Panel filled with buttons, the girl curled her lips in disdain.
"Human technology? Or perhaps... Nyarlathotep's technology? That fellow really has created some terrifying things. If it weren't for the virus that had already altered this planet, she might have actually succeeded in controlling nuclear bombs to bombard us. Her scheme could have truly come to fruition."
She walked straight toward the Control Panel, operating it with a familiarity that suggested she had practiced countless times before.
On the large screen, images from a Satellite began to appear.
"Quite a nice piece of equipment. Very convenient for reconnaissance."
She commented lightly, her tone still detached and indifferent.
Then she manipulated the Satellite's camera. The images on the screen began to zoom in rapidly until they settled on a sufficient angle, looking down from above at the scene within the Meteorite Crater.
"Now... we just wait for that fellow to walk right into our trap."
In the early morning, the battle in the Meteorite Crater had reached a fever pitch, with crimson flames rising over the countless corpses and shattered ice that littered the ruins.
The Six-Headed Five-Tier Zombie surrounded Liu Mengying from all sides, accompanied by relentless attacks from numerous Third-Stage and Fourth-Tier Mutated Zombies, as well as the interference of more low-level Second Stage Zombies. Liu Mengying found herself in an almost insurmountable predicament.
In her hands, the power of ice surged and receded, unleashing terrifying forces that shot out in all directions. The chilling temperatures that could freeze even the air made even Fifth-Stage Zombie Chen Xiaofeng and his companions hesitate to approach, retreating in panic each time.
The power of the raging wind howled through the air, transforming into a roaring Wind Wolf that lunged downwards to bite.
"Roar! Wind Wolf King!"
Amidst Chen Xiaofeng's madness-filled roar, the Fury of the wind wolf descended upon Liu Mengying with enough destructive force to tear the earth apart.
Behind them, a blonde boy named Egio had already swung his blazing Inferno to seal off all of Liu Mengying's escape routes, determined to seize this rare opportunity to inflict serious injury.
"All Things in Nature, Turn to Dust! Flowing Blade Like Fire! Dust to Dust! Blades of Fire!"
The ability to materialize fantasies allowed one to project imagined powers into reality. The stronger the user's Mental Power, the greater the might of the projection. The terrifying flames projected by Fifth-Stage Zombie Egio could easily melt even metal, let alone a mere human body.
However, this time, everyone's plans and coordination fell apart.
The woman, oppressed by Chen Xiaofeng from all escape directions, coldly lifted her head. Instead of dodging, she raised her fair right hand and directly confronted him. The azure light in her hand pulsed and expanded, bursting forth with a brilliance that seemed to tear through the night sky.
The colossal and ferocious Wind Wolf descended, powerful enough to shred steel. However, at the moment the blue light was unleashed, even the raging winds were frozen in place. The roaring Wind Wolf transformed into a massive ice sculpture that plummeted to the ground.
A look of astonishment appeared on Chen Xiaofeng's face.

At Egio's shout, Chen Xiaofeng instinctively stepped back.

The sound of shattering ice echoed as Chen Xiaofeng let out a scream. Half of his body was frozen by the low temperature, his blood congealing.
He slammed a fist against his chest, shattering the ice that spread toward his limbs. In a panic, he narrowly avoided Liu Mengying's second strike, blood spraying from the wound on his chest.
“Great Jade Spiral Bomb!”
From behind, Egio, the blonde boy, roared loudly. A terrifying energy shot forth from his hands toward Liu Mengying's back, forcing her to abandon her assault on Chen Xiaofeng and turn to defend herself.
The howling winds tore through, dragging Chen Xiaofeng's body away from that beautiful yet dangerous figure, allowing him to evade the deadly strike from Liu Mengying.
Below, Lengku manipulated countless fragments of stone and earth to spiral upward into the air.
The ability of Vector Control could very well be the most lethal among this group of Zombies, instilling the strongest confidence in this indifferent Fifth-Stage Zombie.
However, even the strongest Fifth-Stage Zombie could not face the woman descending from the night sky.
If the power of the Azure Legion were to be unleashed once more, all the Zombies here would perish in battle. Therefore, they had to suppress her with all their might, leaving no chance for Liu Mengying to unleash it again.
The roaring Fragmented Stone Rain carried immense kinetic energy, capable of shattering anything that stood in its way.
Even as Liu Mengying relentlessly pressed against the Six-Headed Five-Tier Zombie, she was forced to retreat in the face of such a deadly move.
Carrying the weakened girl on her back, she descended while unleashing the Razor Skull Killing Move, slashing towards the Blonde Boy behind her. The azure power in her hand contracted before releasing a mighty blue wave that surged toward Egio.
"Binding Path of Eighty-One, Break the Void!"
Amidst the Blonde Boy's roar, an invisible massive barrier appeared before him, blocking the blue wave.
At the same time, he clasped his hands together at his chest and launched a counterattack.
"Bankai! Senbonzakura Kageyoshi! Senbonzakura Kageyoshi!"
With the boy's shout, beautiful pink cherry blossoms materialized from thin air, nearly obscuring the area where he stood.
Before Liu Mengying could react, the torrent of cherry blossoms that darkened the night sky erupted into chaos, transforming into countless sharp blades that sealed off the space.
From a distance, it appeared as though a cage made of cherry blossom blades had nearly enclosed that area, trapping Liu Mengying within.
"Now's our chance! Kill her!"
In the midst of Egio's furious roar, a terrifying tremor emanated from the massive black cage, while blood began to seep from the corner of Blonde Boy's mouth.
It was evident that a woman named Liu Mengying was wreaking havoc inside his confinement.
Chen Xiaofeng and the remaining five Fifth-Stage Zombies rushed forward, surrounding the enormous cage from all directions. In their hands, a brilliant light erupted simultaneously.
Then, the power belonging to the Evil God descended, transforming into a colossal White Pillar of Light that tore through the black cage, enveloping Liu Mengying within.
Beneath the earth, the hearty laughter of the Evil God echoed.
"Hehehehe... Hahahahaha... Hahahahaha... Nyarlathotep... Hahahaha... that fellow has finally arrived! That fellow has finally arrived! Hahahahaha..."
Amidst the Evil God's laughter, Chen Xiaofeng and the other Zombies looked up in shock, only to see a terrifying aura rapidly approaching from afar on the horizon.
The unrestrained aura radiated with such ferocity that it felt as if the entire world were about to collapse, causing all the Zombies to tremble in fear.
That was... a force belonging to the Evil God at level one, an enemy far too formidable for any Fifth-Stage Zombie to contend with.
Anxious expressions flashed in Chen Xiaofeng's eyes.
"Kill her quickly! Before that man arrives!"
They roared in anger, channeling all their strength into the Evil God’s bestowed power, attempting to slay Liu Mengying within the light column before Chu Donglin could arrive.
Visibly, the woman's skin within the pillar began to crack slowly, with droplets of blood seeping from her mouth.
"Hurry up! It's almost done! Speed it up!"
Amidst the roars of the Zombies, Liu Mengying's body began to twist, her brow furrowing tightly.
On her back, the girl cried out in pain.
"No! Sister... please, don't continue... don't continue!"
Liu Mengying trembled as she grasped her sister's hand, taking a deep breath as blood surged from her mouth.
"Don't... beg for mercy from these monsters..."
She coldly stared at the group of Mutated Zombies surrounding them, blood starting to flow from the corners of her eyes and nostrils.
"I..."
