"This world is destroyed." 0

On the back of the massive White Wolf, Chu Donglin gazed at the Desolate Wilderness below and slowly exhaled a breath of murky air. 0

"Even if I manage to kill those two Evil Gods in Jiang Hai and eradicate all the Zombies in the world, considering the current number of human Survivors, it will be difficult to restore the past prosperity and reopen those abandoned city streets without decades or even centuries of effort." 0

"Moreover... should I really help humanity?" 0

Chu Donglin clenched his fist lightly, feeling the surging power within him, and spoke slowly. 0

"Aside from my parents and Xing'er, I have no ties left to the human world. I can no longer consider myself human. If I were to cleanse the world of all Zombies and return it to humanity, what would we do in such a world?" 0

He looked at the girl beside him and the one holding his hand, forcing a bitter smile. 0

"The shift in the world line has been set since the moment the three of us became Zombies. Are you willing to live in a world dominated by humans with me, as outcasts?" 0

The girl nodded. 0

Shishi, however, looked worriedly at the twenty or so Third-Stage Zombies following behind them and asked hesitantly, "What about Dodo? Can they live with us too?" 0

Hearing her name mentioned, Lazy Cat, who was sleeping on the girl's shoulder, stretched lazily before shifting into a more comfortable position to continue sleeping. 0

The king who always held an Urn suddenly spoke up. 0

"Don't worry about us." 0

His unexpected words drew the attention of Chu Donglin and the others. 0

With a face marked by the unique coldness of a Zombie, he calmly stated, "I can control the Zombie Legion." 0

"We will occupy a corner, making sure that no human in this world dares to lay a hand on us." 0

He looked at Chu Donglin, his expression calm as he spoke. 0

"I believe that as long as the master is alive in this world, no one will dare to act against us, the master's servants." 0

Wang, perhaps due to his unique abilities, was not particularly strong in hand-to-hand combat, yet he was the most intelligent among this group of Zombies. 0

Chu Donglin even suspected that he had begun to remember everything from his past life and had regained a semblance of human consciousness. 0

However, like all High-Level Zombies, he understood that once he became a Zombie, there was no turning back. 0

The body of a Zombie does not decay or age. As long as there is a supply of energy, they can almost achieve immortality. With such a lifespan, even if they hide among humans, they must remain cautious. 0

This was clear to Chu Donglin and the others. 0

Having grown accustomed to the overwhelming power that left no one daring to resist, it would be nearly impossible to integrate this group of High-Level Zombies into human society and expect them to follow human rules—especially with several Strength-Type Zombies still possessing only the most basic instincts of beasts. 0

That was why Wang felt this way. 0

He looked at Chu Donglin and said expressionlessly, "As for you, master, you only need to protect yourself. I will take care of everyone else; you don’t need to worry." 0

Chu Donglin gazed at this loyal Zombie. Although he knew that such loyalty stemmed more from mental enslavement, he still smiled. 0

"Don't worry; I will find you all a good place." 0

He lifted his head and looked towards the distant horizon. 0

"Nyarlathotep's ability is to deceive and manipulate. I know a way to control people's hearts. Once I have cleansed this world and brought about peace, I will create dozens of rings capable of enchanting minds and give them to the leaders of various nations in the peaceful human world." 0

"I will imbue the ring with magic, making it irresistible to those who encounter its allure. Once they wear the ring, they will become my servants, at my beck and call." 0

"At that time, the entire world will be mine. You need not worry about your safety; no human nation or force would dare to act against you." 0

Chu Donglin's smile was bright and cheerful. 0

However, Shishi furrowed her brow. "If that's the case, doesn't that make you the true mastermind controlling the world, Dad?" 0

Chu Donglin chuckled and ruffled her hair. "You could say that." 0

"Then I would be the princess of the dark lord?" 0

"If you like that title." 0

"But in all the stories, the dark lord always gets defeated in the end..." 0

The girl looked at Chu Donglin and said, "If a hero comes to defeat the dark lord, we would be his minions. According to the story's development, both Snow Sister and I would be doomed... and so would you, Dad." 0

Chu Donglin burst into laughter. "Then when a hero comes to deal with us, how about I send you first to take him down? Even if he's a hero, he can't possibly start off at max level. I'll send a fully leveled subordinate to eliminate him; he surely won't escape!" 0

The girl's eyes lit up. "Great idea! Then I will guard Dad's safety!" 0

"Yes, yes, you'll be in charge of guarding my safety then." 0

Chu Donglin smiled as he continued to ruffle the girl's hair. Just as he was about to think of something else, he suddenly froze. 0

In the dark sky above, a Black-Eyed Crow suddenly came into his view. 0

A strange and ominous aura made him furrow his brow tightly. 0

He suppressed the expression on his face and slowly walked forward, standing at the edge of the White Wolf's head, coldly gazing at the crow, commanding the team to halt. 0

Under the night sky, snowflakes danced in the air, and a chilling wind enveloped everything. 0

The flying crow approached, lightly landing on one of White Wolf's pointed ears. Blood-red Eyes and Chu Donglin locked eyes with it coldly. 0

Then the crow spoke. 0

(In the language of the Evil God) “Nyarlathotep... long time no see…” 0

The crow's voice was hoarse and unpleasant, like nails scraping against glass. It made one instinctively want to cover their ears. 0

Chu Donglin continued to stare coldly at the crow before him. He furrowed his brow, sensing the aura of the creature and understanding something. 0

Having inherited the essence of Acha, he responded in the language of the Evil God. 0

“Hastur? Or Cthulhu?” 0

The crow cackled with a strange laugh. 0

(In the language of the Evil God) “You can’t even sense my aura anymore, can you? Nyarlathotep. It seems you’ve been on this planet too long and have forgotten your old friends.” 0

Amidst the crow's mocking laughter, Chu Donglin smiled lightly, not letting himself be provoked by this mere messenger. 0

Because he knew that it was not the crow before him that was truly speaking to him, but one of the Evil Gods thousands of miles away. 0

Naturally, at such a distance, it was likely that they would find it difficult to sense that he was no longer the Nyarlathotep they once knew. 0

(In the language of the Evil God) “What do you want from me?” 0

Chu Donglin looked at the crow before him and asked calmly, "Is it merely to reminisce?" 0

"Of course not," the Evil God replied. 0

"Then what do you truly want? Knowing I was coming, have you already decided to surrender?" 0

The Evil God on the other side chuckled ominously. 0

"Hahaha... Nyarlathotep, it's been a while since we last met, and you've become quite arrogant. The you of the past wouldn't have spoken like this." 0

Chu Donglin smiled lightly, unfazed. "The changes in this world are beyond your imagination." 0

"Heh heh... For instance, you are now just a human. Are you suggesting that the real Nyarlathotep is dead?" 0

Chu Donglin's expression turned slightly cold. "You know?" 0

"I have known everything for a long time... In fact, I have placed my pieces among humans. Although such actions are beneath me, both Cthulhu and I are currently unable to act freely, so using puppets has become a matter of course." 0

Chu Donglin furrowed his brows tightly, instantly locking onto a potential target. 0

"You control Shu Yuyao? The young officer beside Ban Guozhi?" 0

The Evil God laughed heartily, reveling in the moment. 0

"Although Nyarlathotep's heir did not inherit her powers, as a child of humanity, your cunning is on par with hers." 0

The Evil God's praise did not elicit a smile from Chu Donglin. He merely stared coldly at the crow, feeling an ominous premonition. 0

“Why have you come to find me? What do you want to tell me?” 0

The Evil God laughed heartily, a carefree and unrestrained sound. 0

“Of course, I want to share something that will bring everyone joy… like the matter of your human wife… Hehe… Her name is Liu Xiner, right? By human aesthetic standards, she’s quite a lovely girl.” 0

“However, if nothing unexpected has happened, she should have already been captured by the Zombies I sent out, right? Tsk tsk… How pitiful. Such a cute girl, yet she has fallen into the hands of monsters, her life hanging by a thread. All of this is your fault.” 0

“If it weren’t for you being a monster’s lover, that girl wouldn’t have to face these troubles, would she? When you think about it, it’s truly sad. Not only does she have a monster for a lover, but she’s also been captured by the enemies of that monster, facing death at any moment… Ah… Poor girl, who will come to save her?” 0

Amidst the Evil God’s cackling laughter, Chu Donglin coldly stared at the crow and said in a chilling voice, “What do you want?” 0

The Evil God laughed eerily. 0

“What do I want? Hahahaha… Of course, I want to kill you! Nyarlathotep, if you want your lover to live safely, you must reach Jiang Hai within two sunrises and sunsets. If you don’t make it in time, I will kill her.” 0

Chu Donglin coldly looked at the crow and replied in a chilling tone, “Two days? Very well. You all wait obediently in Jiang Hai; I will come to deliver the most exquisite tombstone for you.” (To be continued…) 0
