Chu Donglin's face was filled with astonishment. 0

As he looked at the Tyrant, which had undergone a complete change in demeanor, the only possible explanation for its altered attitude seemed to be the so-called gift from that woman. 0

"A little something... you'll understand the benefits later." 0

Acha's murmured words seemed to echo in his ears. Chu Donglin gazed at the obedient Tyrant, which resembled a servant, hesitating for several seconds before unleashing his Mental Power. 0

The intangible Mental Power entered the Tyrant's mind, preparing to condense a Mental Seed to control this Zombie. 0

However, Chu Donglin was shocked to discover that as his Mental Power penetrated the Tyrant's brain, before he could even condense the seed, an invisible Mental Power responded from within the Tyrant's mind. 0

In an instant, that Mental Power connected with Chu Donglin's Mental Power and completely fused into one. 0

That sensation was something Chu Donglin had only experienced when facing a Zombie he had already controlled. But when had this Tyrant been under his control? 0

Under Shishi's astonished gaze, the towering Tyrant knelt by the roadside. 0

"Daddy, what's wrong with this big guy?" 0

The girl asked Chu Donglin with uncertainty, while he took a deep breath and walked directly into the area. 0

"You all wait for me outside; don't come in." 0

Although the taming of the Tyrant relieved him, Chu Donglin remained cautious about this fellow. 0

If it suddenly attacked when he got closer, Shishi and the others outside could still assist him. But if everyone entered the area and got cornered by the Tyrant in that narrow space, his Zombie Legion would likely suffer heavy casualties. 0

Yet until Chu Donglin stepped into the area, the Tyrant showed no signs of breaking free from control. It seemed as if it truly had been subdued by Chu Donglin. 0

As Chu Donglin cautiously stepped into the area, he remained on guard against a possible ambush from Tyrant. 0

The old district was enveloped in an eerie silence, devoid of any signs of life. The pure white snow blanketed the ground, covering the rooftops and streets in a pristine layer of Snow White. 0

Due to the absence of passersby and human maintenance, the snow had accumulated to over ten centimeters thick. 0

With each step he took, nearly half of his leg sank into the soft, powdery snow. 0

In the center of the area, there was a circle where no snow lay—a Corpse Mountain stood ominously. 0

Most of the bodies had been drained of blood and flesh by the roots of a peach tree, leaving only a layer of dried human skin piled up, creating a horrifying sight. 0

As Chu Donglin approached the peach tree, he silently gazed at the two ripe peaches hanging from its branches, a look of contemplation in his eyes. 0

If Tyrant was indeed waiting here for the peaches to ripen for harvesting as he suspected, it should have picked them long ago. Yet it had not done so; instead, it continued to guard them… 0

At this point, Chu Donglin understood that this peculiar peach tree was likely connected to a woman named Acha. 0

He took a deep breath and fixed his gaze on the base of the peach tree, recalling the monstrous figure he had encountered last time. 0

When he had attempted to pick a peach before, he had seen that monster buried beneath the Corpse Mountain. Its grotesque appearance suggested that the peach tree had sprouted from its very body. 0

Such a terrifying visage could hardly be mistaken for anything benign. 0

However, before Chu Donglin could make any further moves, the peach tree suddenly began to tremble. 0

Then, bodies from the Corpse Mountain tumbled down one after another, revealing a grotesque and hideous form before Chu Donglin. 0

Its skin had completely peeled away, exposing Dark Red muscle tissue to the air—a shocking sight. Its features were distorted, with bulging Dark Red eyeballs connected to their sockets by two dark red veins. 0

Long tentacles sprouted from its body, writhing in the crevices of Corpse Mountain. Covering its surface were countless fleshy growths, each the size of a maggot. 0

These thin growths were densely packed across its form, pulsating as if alive with Madness, creating an exceptionally grotesque sight. 0

At its chest and abdomen, a large maw gaped open, with numerous dark red tendrils entangled and connecting to the roots of a peach tree—an eerie tree that had somehow grown from its very cavity. 0

While the other roots of the peach tree absorbed the blood and flesh of the corpses around it, there was no doubt that the true body of this tree had emerged from within this monster. Everything about the peach tree had been nurtured by the monster's body as a breeding ground. 0

The moment Chu Donglin laid eyes on this creature, he instinctively took a step back, his brow furrowing tightly. 0

His Mental Power spread outwards, ready to manipulate countless shards of rebar to strike down this beast. 0

However, before Chu Donglin could launch his attack, the creature's eyes turned towards him with a rolling motion, emitting a harsh, grating cackle. 0

"Ah... Nyarlathotep, long time no see. Have you come back to witness your old buddy's miserable state? Seeing me turned into fertilizer for flowers like this must bring you joy, huh?" 0

Chu Donglin's brow knitted further. 0

The creature's raspy laughter echoed with words that were not in any language he recognized. Strangely enough, he understood them perfectly, leaving him bewildered. 0

He glared at the monstrous figure before him, filled with wariness. 0

"Who is Nyarlathotep? Who are you talking to?" 0

"Cackling... Who am I talking to? I'm talking to you, Nyarlathotep. Are you trying to play dumb with me?" 0

The monster's hoarse roar sounded more like a painful wail than conversation, as if it were enduring immense suffering. "Even though you've taken on a new shell, how could I possibly mistake you after all these years of torment? Your scent is unmistakable; even if you turned to ash, I would recognize you." 0

With that, the creature's tentacles twitched violently in the air as it let out a rasping howl. 0

"Can you smell it, can you hear it? This scent lingering in the air, it's not exclusive to you, Nyarlathotep... Huh? Wait a minute!" 0

The creature suddenly caught a whiff of something and let out a terrified shriek. 0

"You... you're not Nyarlathotep? You... you ate her? How is that possible! A mere human, a mere human, how could you... Nyarlathotep... how did you do it? One of the Great Old Ones, Nyarlathotep... how did you consume her?" 0

Amidst the creature's panicked howls, Chu Donglin furrowed his brow, his expression filled with caution. 0

"What exactly are you?" 0

The monster screamed for a long time, and as it looked at Chu Donglin's bewildered face, it began to understand something. 0

"Child of humanity, were you fed something by a certain woman? Hehe... Haha... That woman is already dead, isn't she?" 0

In the creature's eerie laughter, Chu Donglin remained on guard. 0

"Do you know Acha?" 0

"Acha? Hehe... Was that fellow's previous incarnation called Acha? What an interesting name for a human... Hehehehe... It seems this fellow has observed humans for too long and has been infected by these lowly beings. Acha... Hehehehe..." 0

The creature laughed inexplicably, watching Chu Donglin's frowning expression while swaying its tentacles, seemingly quite pleased. 0

"Child, aren't you curious about what's happening? Haha... Let me tell you everything." 0

"I am Mordigian, an old acquaintance of Nyarlathotep. However, that fellow arrived on Earth before me, and when I came over, I inadvertently fell into her trap. As a result, I ended up in this miserable state before you... Ugh, that fellow even wanted to use me as fertilizer, extracting the essence of my flesh and blood. Truly malicious, isn't it?" 0

Amidst the creature's cackling laughter were intermittent cries of pain and roars, as if the peach tree growing from its abdomen was causing it immense suffering. 0

Yet Chu Donglin's brow remained furrowed as he scrutinized the monster with disbelief. 0

“Mordigian? Mordigian, God of Dread and Cold Bones, King of Ghouls, King of Ghouls?” 0

The monster paused for a moment, curiosity flickering in its eyes. “Human Child, you have heard of me?” 0

“I know a little.” 0

Chu Donglin nodded coldly, scrutinizing the grotesque creature with confusion. “But isn’t your image supposed to be that of a terrifying giant with no eyes and no feet? Your size and state… you don’t look like the Evil God from the legends at all.” 0

“Ha ha… Short-sighted Human Child, the glory of the Great Old One is beyond your lowly species’ comprehension. Let me tell you, the transformation of form and evolution of posture are not particularly difficult for us.” 0

“To give you a common example, the woman you know as Acha only adopted a human form not long ago. Before that, she was undoubtedly a Horrific Monster in the eyes of your kind.” 0

The monster twitched its tentacles, letting out a horrific shriek. “Of course, the reason I appear this way now is not by choice. That fellow Nyarlathotep intended to sacrifice me and extract the essence of my flesh and blood to refine into fruit. This form is merely convenient for her sacrificial process.” 0

It gestured with its writhing tentacles toward the two ripe peach trees above. The monster shook its tentacles and cackled ominously, “Look, the fruit is already ripe. I am left with only a final breath. As long as you pick these two peaches, I will die immediately and will never return… Heh heh… Human Child, do you want to eat these two fruits? If you do, you will become very strong.” (To be continued…) 0
