Upon seeing Dr. Liu put the examination watch on the unconscious Ban Qingya, Ban Guozhi, who had been struggling in anger, gradually calmed down.
He pushed aside the warriors holding him back and walked over with a dark expression, his eyes fixed on the fluctuating data on the watch.
"Doctor, is my daughter really pregnant?"
"Uh... well..."
Dr. Liu adjusted his glasses and stared at the fluctuating data, hesitating for a long time before finally awkwardly saying, "It seems that Ban Jie... uh... probably... that... um..."
The doctor stuttered and refused to give a clear answer, nearly provoking Ban Guozhi into another rage.

Ban Guozhi froze for a moment and then noticed that the frail doctor was starting to roll his eyes. He was immediately alarmed and quickly released the unfortunate physician.
"Sorry, sorry! I got too worked up… Dr. Liu, are you okay?"
"I… cough cough… I'm fine… cough cough… really fine..."
The frail middle-aged doctor felt as if he had been granted amnesty. Once freed by Ban Guozhi, he quickly opened his mouth to breathe in deeply, coughing repeatedly. "General Ban, please don’t be agitated. For now, there’s no major issue with Ban Jie’s condition. The so-called pregnancy should just be a lie because I haven’t detected any signs of new life within her."
Ban Guozhi let out a sigh of relief but then furrowed his brows again.

"Those are just details, nothing to worry about. As long as she's not pregnant, that's all that matters."
Ban Guozhi frowned and looked in the direction where Chu Donglin had disappeared, snorting coldly. "Since she isn't pregnant, that makes things much easier... Shu Yatou, track down that scoundrel's whereabouts. How dare he abandon my daughter... hmph! He must be tired of living!"
Shu Yuyao cleared her throat and shook her head, not immediately following the order.
"Um... Old General, I actually think that perhaps the Zombie isn't at fault; maybe he really has nothing to do with Ban Jie? This could all be a misunderstanding?"
Ban Guozhi suddenly turned his head and glared at Shu Yuyao. "Would you show your chest to a stranger? If that guy really had nothing to do with Ya, how would he know about her birthmark?"
"Uh... maybe it was due to some accident... or some other misunderstanding."
Shu Yuyao thought for a moment and finally expressed her thoughts helplessly. "Alright... what I'm thinking is, if this Zombie really is Chu Donglin, for everyone's safety, I think General Ban you should just let this matter slide."
Ban Guozhi's eyes widened in anger.
"Are you saying this Third-Stage Zombie is so powerful? Powerful enough that my entire team can't handle him? So my daughter has to suffer?"
"General Ban, you're misunderstanding me. The Third-Stage Zombie itself isn't the problem, but the people behind him might be difficult to deal with."
Shu Yuyao glanced at the soldiers around them and thought for a moment before speaking up publicly. "General Ban, do you remember the information you investigated before? Before the apocalypse hit, General Liu Mengying was a local from Wocheng; her family and friends are all here."
Ban Guozhi's brow furrowed. "Are you saying this Chu Donglin is a friend of Liu Mengying? Even so, if her friend dares to bully my daughter, I won't believe she would still have the guts to turn against me! Liu Mengying is formidable, but I'm not someone to be trifled with either!"
"I know, I know; I understand that General Ban isn't afraid of General Liu Mengying. However..."
Shu Yuyao first calmed Ban Guozhi's emotions before continuing, "If I remember correctly, this Mr. Chu Donglin should be General Liu's boyfriend... Do you recall the photo frame on General Liu's desk? The man in that frame..."

The man in the frame smiled gently, exuding a charm that was approachable and inspiring, a stark contrast to Liu Mengying, who always kept others at arm's length.

Now, when Shu Yuyao brought up the matter, Ban Guozhi recalled the man's smile in the photo, which indeed bore a resemblance to Chu Donglin from before, causing his anger to flare up.
"Damn! It really is him... Damn it! This Liu Mengying actually dares to compete for a man with my daughter? Damn! Just because she has power, she thinks she's something special? Does she really think I'm afraid of her? Operator, get me the phone number for Jianghai Base! Remember, I want to call Liu Mengying's office directly. I have something to discuss with her!"

"This is Liu Mengying."
Before the operator could say anything, Ban Guozhi snatched the receiver and began to roar into it.
"Liu Mengying! You are something else! You really think you're impressive! Just because you’re the top person in the base doesn’t mean I can’t do anything about you! Let me tell you!
