According to the original itinerary planned by Chu Donglin and Liu Xiner, they should have been able to reach Liu Family Villa before dark.
However, an unexpected motorcycle breakdown caused this plan to be indefinitely delayed.

Standing at the seventh-floor window of a residential building, watching the sun setting on the horizon and contemplating their current predicament, Liu Xiner sighed and instinctively glanced back at Chu Donglin.
What she saw was utterly bewildering.
The usually tough and rugged Chu Donglin was sitting on the sofa, holding a pink romance novel, seemingly engrossed in it like a teenage girl.

She stood there dumbfounded, her mind blank from this shocking revelation.
Her first reaction was that she was under too much stress and hallucinating.
However, it soon became apparent that reality differed slightly from her imagination—because Chu Donglin's brows were furrowing tighter and tighter until his face turned as dark as a pot bottom.
"Damn! What kind of trash book is this? How can something like this even get published? Are the reviewers all raised on shit?! Damn!"
Finally, Chu Donglin's anger reached its peak, and he erupted.
He cursed furiously, stomping on the book beneath his feet with wild abandon.
This kind of rage was something Liu Xiner had never witnessed before.
In Liu Xiner's impression, Chu Donglin was always calm; no matter how powerful the blow, he would never lose his composure.

Moreover, this Underworld President not only has wealth and power but even provincial-level officials have to show him respect, bowing and scraping before him... Chu Donglin would bet that he and the author of this book do not live in the same reality.
In short, the female lead's adoptive father is a perfect man—cool, domineering, and incredibly handsome—though he has a penchant for hitting women.
Naturally, such an outstanding man would be surrounded by a throng of Infatuated Girls, with several equally impressive women infatuated with him—despite his tendency to hit women.
As a giant in the underworld and CEO of a publicly listed company, he naturally has extensive influence and connections—even though he likes to hit women.
But even though he appears completely ungentle, even cold and domineering, and enjoys hitting women, he is still adored by countless Infatuated Girls.

Furthermore, after this incident, the adopted daughter and her Adoptive Father getting into a quarrel left Chu Donglin feeling utterly defeated.
Especially recalling the first time he bathed Snow, the inexplicable anger of the girl made Chu Donglin feel not only shattered but also chilled to the bone.
Afterwards, several handsome male characters who pursued the adopted daughter met gruesome ends at the hands of the male lead. There wasn't much left for Chu Donglin to say, but what on earth was this neurotic female lead rambling about throughout the story?
"What do you mean a daughter should marry her father? Only a father is a daughter's true love? It's only right for a daughter to marry her father?" What kind of insanity is this? What nonsense! Is this author mentally challenged?
Moreover, how did such a blatantly unhealthy ideology pass through the publishing review? Are the reviewers at the publishing house completely clueless?
What if an innocent girl reads this trash and develops some strange misunderstanding? Who will take responsibility when something goes wrong? Aren't they afraid of being condemned?
Listening to Chu Donglin's furious complaints, Liu Xiner sighed and sat down beside him.
"Books for girls are basically like this... In fact, the books you boys like to read are also not appealing to most girls. It's just a matter of gender differences. Since you don't like it, there's no need to force yourself to read it."
