"Xu Yi, let's go back to the dorm and tidy up our beds first," Bai Jinxi suggested, while pulling the suitcase in the direction of the dorm.
Xu Yi nodded in agreement and followed Bai Jinxi's pace. As they walked, they chatted about their expectations for dorm life.
"I heard our dorm is a four-person room. I hope our roommates are all easy to get along with," Xu Yi said somewhat nervously.
Bai Jinxi comforted her: "Don't worry, roommates in college usually come from different places, and everyone is very inclusive. As long as we respect each other and try to understand one another, we will definitely get along well."
Xu Yi relaxed a bit after hearing this and said with a smile, "Okay."
The two soon arrived at the dormitory building and found their own room according to the list. There was already a roommate in the room, tidying up the beds. When she saw them come in, she greeted them kindly.
"Hi, hello everyone, I am Yao Lu, a heron from Yuncheng. She is Gu Chenchen, also from Yuncheng," the roommate introduced. Xu Yi and Bai Jinxi glanced at each other, both seeing the excitement in each other's eyes. Bai Jinxi took the initiative and warmly shook Chen Lu's hand, "Hi, Yao Lu, nice to meet you! I'm Bai Jinxi, and she's Xu Yi. It's a good place, Yuncheng, we should travel around together." Yao Lu smiled in response, "Really? That's quite a coincidence. Let's tidy up the dorm together."
So, the four of them started to work together, tidying up the beds, hanging clothes, and arranging daily necessities. During this process, they chatted and shared their interests, hobbies, and stories from their hometowns, creating a very harmonious atmosphere. After a busy time, the four beds were all neatly arranged. Bai Jinxi excitedly jumped onto her own bed, feeling the start of a new life. "Xu Yi, Yao Lu, Chenchen, from today, we are a little family in this dorm. Let's spend a wonderful college life together!" Bai Jinxi exclaimed excitedly.
Xu Yi smiled and Yao Lu responded with a smile, "Sure, let's work together to create beautiful memories!" In the warm and harmonious atmosphere, their university life officially began. After finishing packing, Yao Lu suggested, "Let's go to the nearby cafeteria to celebrate our first gathering." Xu Yi and Bai Jinxi exchanged smiles and agreed in unison, "Sure, that's a great idea!"
So, the four of them walked out of the dormitory together and headed to the nearby cafeteria. The cafeteria was bustling with various delicious foods, making one's mouth water. They found a spacious spot to sit down and began to order.
"I'll have a pan-fried tofu and a plate of greens," Xu Yi spoke first.
"I'll have a spicy hot pot and a bowl of rice," Bai Jinxi said excitedly.
Yao Lu looked at the menu and ordered a steamed fish and a stir-fried vegetable dish. Finally, Chenchen added, "I want a hot and sour noodle soup and a glass of fruit juice." After ordering, the four of them started chatting. They talked about their high school lives and were full of expectations for future university life. Yao Lu also shared the beautiful scenery and local snacks of Yuncheng, which captivated Xu Yi and the others.
Before long, the dishes were served one after another. The four of them enjoyed the delicious food while continuing to chat. With the companionship of good food and laughter, their bond grew closer and their feelings deepened. After dinner, they returned to the dormitory together, starting their first night of college life.
