Xu Zhi's face was gloomy as she finally explained the whole story behind the events.
It all began with the "beautiful love story" between Xu Zhi and the Rich Handsome Guy.
She met the Rich Handsome Guy at a nightclub.
He was extravagant, driving a luxury car and wearing designer clothes, practically advertising "I'm a sugar daddy" on his forehead.
Wasn't this exactly the image of a prince charming in Xu Zhi's mind?
Thus, their acquaintance started over a meal of Western Cuisine, and in the blink of an eye, they were in a hotel room and in bed together. Perhaps it was Xu Zhi's charm that captivated him. He then pushed Xu Zhi into the bedroom, needing a moment to collect himself and to relieve himself. However, after waiting for a while in the bedroom without any sign of him, Xu Zhi suddenly heard the roar of a car engine from downstairs. She recognized it immediately; it was clearly the Rich Handsome Guy's car. Panic set in as she crawled over to take a look, only to see him speeding away as if being chased by a ghost. He drove off at an incredible speed, knocking over several trash cans before disappearing from sight.
Afterward, she tried calling him, but he didn't answer. A few days later, his number was disconnected.
At that moment, Xu Zhi realized she had been played. She had no way to find him because during their time together, aside from witnessing the Rich Handsome Guy's extravagant lifestyle, he had never mentioned anything about his background or what he did for a living. She hadn't even been to his home!

At this point, even Xu Zhi couldn't ignore that something was seriously wrong.
So she sought out a Taoist priest known for his abilities; people often consulted him when they encountered unclean spirits. Among all the people Xu Zhi knew, he was the only one who could help with such matters. When she approached him, he didn't deceive her; he truly had some skill. Upon seeing her face, he asked if she had undergone an abortion. Although Xu Zhi felt embarrassed admitting such a thing, she told him the truth for the sake of her own well-being.
After hearing her story, the priest sighed deeply and muttered about karmic debts. He calculated something and suddenly turned pale. He gave her a Descendant Talisman and instructed her to carry it with her at all times. Whether it would solve her problems depended on her fate. He warned her not to go near any Taoist Sect's sacred places; this was her only hope and last resort because if the Descendant Talisman couldn't help her, there would be no salvation.
After leaving the temple, Xu Zhi was unsettled by the priest's cryptic words and dared not dwell on the matter any longer. She quickly put on the Descendant Talisman around her neck. Unfortunately, it seemed to have little effect. That night, she dreamt of the dead child again—its pale face running toward her in the dream while crying out "Mommy! Why don't you want me anymore?" Xu Zhi instinctively backed away but could not escape; eventually, the dead child grabbed hold of her pant leg. At that moment in the dream, the Descendant Talisman around her neck suddenly began to glow brightly, pushing the dead child away. The child began to emit white smoke while letting out a heart-wrenching scream. Its once pleading gaze turned into one of resentment as it glared at her with fury. It roared like a beast at Xu Zhi, accusing her of severing its reincarnation and threatening that no one would have peace if it were destroyed by someone from the Taoist Sect!
Xu Zhi was almost jolted awake, feeling a chill all over her body. She felt heavy and her neck ached, as if she had slept in an awkward position. It was around four or five in the morning, and after tossing and turning for so long, she couldn't fall back asleep. So she decided to get up and wash up. However, when she stood in front of the mirror, she was nearly scared to death. The dead child from her dream was actually sitting on her shoulders. The only difference from the dream was that the child had two horns growing from its forehead. It kept sneering at her through the mirror, and Xu Zhi almost lost control of herself in fear. In a panic, she fled. At that moment, all she could think of was the Daoist at Arctic Palace, so she hurriedly took a taxi there.
When she arrived, before she could even see him, the gatekeeper, a Daoist Boy, shooed her away. He told her that the Daoist had already looked into her situation. The child she had aborted in her previous life had a significant background and had suffered greatly while waiting for this life to be reborn. Unfortunately, it had been killed by the Mifepristone Tablets they used. The child must hate her intensely and would definitely seek revenge. If the Descendant Talisman could protect her, she would be safe; if not, the Demon Child would remember how its mother had used Mifepristone Tablets against it while it was still alive. Even after its death, it wouldn't let go of its grudge. Despite being tricked by that Rich Handsome Guy and feeling utterly miserable, Xu Zhi preferred to cling to life rather than face death. Thus, the Demon Child began telling its story. Once Xu Zhi heard everything, she realized what she needed to do next.
