It turns out that this Dinosaur, no matter how tough its bones and skin are, still has a soft and vulnerable belly. As I plunged my knife in, I heard a "pop," and the stomach of this Tyrannosaurus Rex was sliced open. The vessel I aimed for was severed as well, and scalding hot blood gushed out like water from a tap, drenching me instantly. The temperature wasn't high, but at that moment, my nerves were taut with tension, and the sudden splash made me shudder uncontrollably.
Moreover, this Tyrannosaurus Rex had an abundance of blood. When the vessel opened, blood sprayed everywhere at an incredible speed. Before I could even close my eyes, it splattered into them, causing a burning sensation that made my vision turn a shade of red.
Roar!
This strike dealt significant damage to the Tyrannosaurus Rex. I could hear its agonized roar, loud enough that its vocal cords vibrated and even resonated through its chest cavity. Naturally, being inside its belly, I felt the impact as well; the roar sent tremors through me, nearly knocking me off balance. I barely managed to steady myself!
I didn't see what was happening on its back, but I knew it must have been a gruesome sight. Most likely, its flesh was shredded by the barbed tongue of the Tyrannosaurus Rex, accompanied by a continuous flow of blood. I could even feel the symptoms of excessive blood loss setting in.
My eyes were stinging from the blood splatter.
But I couldn't afford to close my eyes or collapse; I had no right to wail in despair. Only those who ensured their survival had the right to express their pain through cries.
And here I was, uncertain if I would live or die, forced to keep my eyes wide open and endure the agony while continuing to fight!
What I was fighting for was my life!
"Kill!"
Seeing red ignited my ferocity; in that moment of forgetfulness, a low growl erupted from my throat—not out of recklessness but because sometimes when one is cornered, both body and mind are beyond control.
As that roar escaped me, all the air in my lungs rushed out. Fortunately, I discovered there was air in the belly of this dinosaur—though it was mixed with a foul stench and a thick scent of blood. As it filled my nostrils, an overwhelming wave of nausea surged through me!
But at this point, with death looming so close, what did it matter?
I disregarded how much the Tyrannosaurus Rex was suffering outside; it was the master out there while I was the butcher inside. So I swung my dagger almost frantically against its stomach wall. In that instant, blood splattered everywhere as shredded stomach tissue flew around—I was drenched in gore!
Indeed, with death inching closer step by step, I reached a state of near madness. My mind had long abandoned the righteousness and propriety I'd learned throughout my life; all I could think about was slaughtering and tearing apart everything before me!
In some vague way, I felt that beast within me—suppressed for too long—being unleashed. But I had no other choice.
Though it seemed lengthy, everything transpired in just a moment. In the blink of an eye, the Tyrannosaurus Rex's stomach was riddled with holes; one area had been hacked repeatedly until a large chunk of flesh was severed—it had been pierced through!
Seeing that torn opening gave me hope. With a push against the Gold Plate beneath my feet, I launched myself directly out through that gap!
Rather than leaping out, it felt more like squeezing or crashing out!
Although I had sliced off a large chunk of flesh with my knife, the wound was ultimately where I had forced my way out. During this process, my exposed skin came into contact with the soft, warm interior of the Tyrannosaurus Rex's stomach, a sensation reminiscent of touching a slug. My face was splattered with gastric fluid from the stomach wall, and I immediately felt a burning sting, clearly indicating that my skin had been burned. Fortunately, there wasn't much gastric fluid where I had exited, so I wouldn't be disfigured.
Then, I was completely enveloped by the internal organs, the stench overwhelming. This only fueled the Dark Malevolent Energy within me; my Killing Intent became unstoppable. With my short dagger in hand, these fragile organs stood no chance against me. As I moved through them, they were sliced apart one after another. The Tyrannosaurus Rex let out increasingly desperate cries, and I could hear it clearly within its abdominal cavity!
Is it still alive?
I was astonished by the mutant Tyrannosaurus Rex's tenacity. My gaze began to search carefully through the mass of entrails, hoping to find something lethal among them. Unfortunately, the cramped space hindered the light from Gongye Zhu from illuminating anything properly. Surrounded by intestines and sliding down along them made it impossible to see clearly.
I felt a surge of anxiety within me, unsure if Zhengyang and the others could hold on any longer.
Just then, a flash of red suddenly darted past my eyes!
What was that?
I quickly focused on it and realized what it was—the Heart!
Yes, that was the Tyrannosaurus Rex's Heart!
If a mere vegetable can’t survive without its heart, can a Dinosaur? The answer was clearly no!
I had to target its Heart!
In an instant, I made my decision. I pulled back my short dagger with all my might, slicing through several intestines in the process and getting myself covered in filth. Then I plunged the dagger deep into one of the thickest intestines, finally halting my downward slide.
After pushing aside numerous intestines, I finally reached that bright red Heart.
Thump, thump.
The Heart pulsed rhythmically, not hurried at all. It was evident that the damage I had inflicted earlier was not fatal; even after tearing apart its stomach, its heartbeat showed no signs of distress—it certainly didn’t seem like a dying creature. Its vitality left me dumbfounded!
Then I'll destroy your Heart and see if you can still live!
With determination swelling inside me, I steeled myself. Balancing on the slippery intestines beneath my feet, I waited until I had gathered enough strength before letting out a fierce roar. Then I lunged toward that round Heart. In that instant of contact, without hesitation, I drove my short dagger into it with all the Killing Intent surging from the blade’s tip. My strike pierced straight through the Tyrannosaurus Rex's Heart; as I cut downwards, Killing Intent erupted from the other side. A spray of black blood shot onto my face as I gripped the hilt of my dagger and hung onto that massive Heart!
Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump!
At that moment, the Heart—now punctured—began to beat faster than ever before, blood gushing out along the blade in a torrent!
Roar!
The Tyrannosaurus Rex let out a nearly hysterical roar, and I, hanging from its Heart, was tossed around. It was clear that this Tyrannosaurus Rex was swaying unsteadily, about to fall at any moment!
Thinking back to not long ago when I almost met my end from the barbs on its tongue, I felt a surge of hatred. Gripping the hilt of my short dagger tightly, I twisted it fiercely and replaced the dagger embedded in its Heart. Then, with a powerful thrust of my arms, I heard a "thud" as I sliced its Heart in two, finally stopping its rhythmic beating.
I had fallen back into the mass of its innards.
The Tyrannosaurus Rex's furious roars ceased at last, and it collapsed with a thunderous crash. Even lying within its belly, I felt a tremendous jolt.
Everything finally returned to calm.
After exerting all my strength to accomplish this, I had exhausted every ounce of energy and could no longer stand. Lying amidst the pile of entrails, my mind was hazy, barely holding on to life.
I was waiting for Zhengyang and the others; I believed they wouldn’t give up on me so easily.
As it turned out, I was right. After lying in this bloody mess for about an hour, I saw the Tyrannosaurus Rex had been disemboweled. Zhengyang’s voice rang out from outside: “I’m going to find him! If he’s alive, we’ll see him; if he’s dead, we’ll see his body. He managed to slay the dragon even after being eaten. I refuse to believe he’s so unlucky that he could suffocate in there while we’re busy disemboweling this beast!”
Hearing that voice, I let out a long breath. It seemed that I would finally be able to escape this hellish place.
