There was no other way. In Africa, even the likes of Second Brother and Flathead Brother, who were among the top creatures of the grasslands, were treated as pets by the Brothers. 0

Humans are at the top of the natural world; I had come to understand this principle. 0

Even knowing that there are tigers in the mountains, we still had to squint our eyes and tread carefully in their territory! 0

So, I decided not to think too much about it. When soldiers come, I will block them; when water comes, I will bury it! With that thought, I simply sat down on the ground. The cold, hard marble floor sent a chilling sensation deep into my bones, leaving my limbs feeling weak and sore. 0

The three of us sat in silence on the open ground between numerous temples for over an hour before we finally regained some strength. 0

Zhengyang's hair had come undone, giving him a ghostly appearance! I watched as he effortlessly gathered his hair back up with one hand; a hairpin was inserted lightly, and it looked as neat as before—simply impressive. I couldn't help but admire how professional this Taoist was; for an ordinary person, it would take at least ten minutes to fix such a hairstyle. 0

After witnessing that impressive scene, I glanced at Ghost Granny. That guy was incredible; he had looked like he was about to pass out just moments ago but now seemed completely unfazed. "Kid, if you keep staring, I'll gouge out your eyes. Rest well and hurry up; this place isn't safe for long!" 0

"I wonder where Big Mouth Lee and the others went." 0

I looked around but didn't see Big Mouth Lee anywhere. Initially, it was Bear Big and the others who ran away first, followed closely by Big Mouth Lee and his group. Suddenly, I realized that even Xiao Xiao and the bowl were missing! We had all fled in a panic and ended up getting separated. I truly had no idea how they were doing now or if they had found refuge in this temple area. 0

I thought… they should have made it inside by now? 0

After all, the ghostly wails outside had stopped; clearly, those Dirty Things had quieted down. 0

Thinking about the bowl and Xiao Xiao made me restless. These two had stayed by my side during my most dangerous moments; that was true friendship. I couldn't just leave them behind. Gripping the Azure Dark Sword tightly, I stood up abruptly. "I need to find them!" With that, I began searching for them among the cluster of temples alongside Zhengyang and Ghost Granny. 0

Inside these temples, statues stood tall and numerous; the architectural style was quite unique—somewhat resembling Gothic architecture but taller and rounder. This was likely related to Atlantis being a maritime nation. In coastal areas, typhoons can be particularly destructive, especially to low buildings; if structures are built taller with less defined edges, losses during typhoons can be minimized! 0

In this hall of gods, I had no idea what kind of Ritual was being performed here. Forgive my limited knowledge of foreign history; all I knew was that they worshipped the god Orion—beyond that, I was completely clueless! 0

In this vast expanse of ruins, there stood only one temple dedicated to the ruler of Orion. At the very center among numerous temples was a massive structure resembling a medieval castle. Atop this building was a gigantic statue, depicting the hunter Orion—standing on the banks of Eridanus, flanked by his two hunting dogs, Canis Major and Canis Minor, bow drawn. 0

My companions Zhengyang, Ghost Granny, and I wandered through the many temples, eventually stopping before the temple of the hunter Orion. Upon seeing it, I was momentarily stunned. 0

It wasn't that the Orion Temple was particularly grand or magnificent; rather, it was the eerie atmosphere that enveloped the place. The presence of Eerie Energy was overwhelming. As I approached, goosebumps erupted all over my body, and I couldn't help but shiver. Even my protective aura against Killing Intent felt ineffective, revealing just how intense the Eerie Energy had become. 0

"This place feels off!" 0

Ghost Granny halted beneath the temple, gazing up at the statue of the hunter Orion. Her shadowy eyes flickered with an unusual glimmer of fear as she softly remarked, "There’s likely a big fellow inside." I couldn't help but admire her; my respect for her was genuine. Whenever she spoke, I believed her without question! 0

"Come on! Don’t scare me!" I stepped forward as well. 0

"Child! I'm not joking with you. Let me take a look at the stars!" 0

Upon hearing this, I thought to myself that she was really pushing it. What could she possibly observe down here underwater? 0

Suddenly, she pulled out a small compass from her clothing. It wasn’t very large—about the size of a thumb. She began to walk around the temple with it in hand, muttering incantations under her breath. Suddenly, she froze in place! I heard her exclaim in alarm, and I immediately shivered in response! 0

She flipped open the lid of the compass and turned to me and Zhengyang: "It's already past four in the afternoon. In another hour, the sun will set. I suspect this place won't be peaceful at night. Even though we are underwater, it will still be affected by the rise and fall of day and night from outside. We should find somewhere safe to wait it out until morning! As for the others... they’ll have to fend for themselves." 0

Is that really all there is to it? 0

"That works." 0

Zhengyang nodded, glancing at me as if signaling not to ask further questions. 0

At that moment, I felt a pressure in my heart, mostly worrying about the others. Although Big Mouth Lee was quick on his feet, he was still a brother in arms, and naturally, I was concerned for him as well. As the saying goes, "A fence needs three stakes; a hero needs three helpers." With a few more allies, even if we were to face death, at least we would have someone to cover our backs. 0

We made up our minds and quickly withdrew from the area. Eventually, we found a relatively remote temple dedicated to Goddess Venus and slipped inside. This temple was comparatively secluded, with fewer doors and windows. As Old Madman put it, it would be easier to defend ourselves if anything happened. 0

"Damn it!" 0

Old Madman cursed as he pulled out a Samadhi True Fire Talisman from his pocket and held it high. Suddenly, he shouted, "If you don’t want me to burn you all to ashes, get out of here!" 0

As soon as he finished speaking, a gust of cold wind rushed in, carrying with it a cloud of dust that hit me all at once, making me cough several times. 0

Aside from me, Zhengyang and Ghost Granny seemed unaffected! 0

"Fortunate Blessings! You’ve accumulated so much bad karma in this life! Even the Yellow-haired Ghost dares to bully you!" 0

Ghost Granny's tone grew increasingly ominous as she angrily patted my shoulder. The moment she did, my body, which had been stiff and wooden, suddenly relaxed. The chill that had been creeping up my back vanished without a trace. It seemed she had driven away the Dirty Things by scolding me indirectly. My impression of Ghost Granny improved further. 0

"Alright! You’re on your own; I can’t protect you forever!" 0

Her teasing left me feeling quite downcast. I could only sulk as I followed her inside. I randomly chose a spacious spot, kicked aside some of the dry bones on the ground, hastily ate a few bites of food, and then closed my eyes to rest right there— 0
