In fact, there have been many methods for unlocking mechanisms since ancient times.
For example, there is Star Wind Feng Shui, and also methods under the Astrological Perspective.
As the name suggests, Star Feng Shui relies on the seasonal changes of celestial bodies to assess feng shui. The feng shui that has been passed down today determines the degree of Fortune and Misfortune based on the current geographical environment and surrounding elements, which in turn helps to judge the Yin-Yang House. Regardless of how the landscape has changed over centuries, Star Feng Shui can still identify the best locations, not merely by observing the appearance of mountains and rivers but by interpreting symbols to determine good feng shui.
Thus, based on this theoretical foundation, I became oblivious to my surroundings; all that remained in my vision were the gems embedded in that wall.
After staring at the wall for a long time, I finally exhaled deeply.
No problem; the arrangement of gems on this wall indeed simulates the positions of various celestial bodies in the universe!
For instance, in the center of the wall, I noticed a particularly dense area where gems were almost touching each other—some large, some small—forming a colorful ribbon-like appearance.
Without a doubt, this ribbon represents the Galaxy System in the universe!
According to my understanding of Atlantis Civilization, their exploration of the cosmos was remarkably advanced. As early as nine thousand years ago, they created objects similar to satellites and spacecraft using the energy from the Heart of Atlantis. Their exploration and research into the universe had already surpassed contemporary knowledge, making their understanding of the Galaxy System and Orion unremarkable.
Our current research has essentially confirmed Orion's location—it is near the Galaxy System, with its northern range having merged into it, effectively overlapping.
Following this clue, my gaze wandered over the cluster of gems on the wall representing the Milky Way. Soon, I discovered a concentrated gem in the upper right corner of the wall at the end of this cluster. This group of gems formed a peculiar pattern resembling a hunter accompanied by two hunting dogs, identical in shape to Orion!
The Dogon People, residing in the southern mountainous region of Mali Republic near Timbuktu, are one of Africa's indigenous tribes that still maintain a primitive jungle lifestyle. In 1900, two French anthropologists, Marcel Griaule and Jomai Ditalen, ventured deep into Dogon tribes and collected many unique myths and legends. They unexpectedly found answers to a century-old debate among scholars regarding the color change of Sirius in Dogon mythology. Sirius is one of the brightest stars visible to the naked eye at a distance of 87 light-years—over 51 trillion miles away. Many ancient texts recorded Sirius as being deep red, while modern observations depict it as white. Why has its color changed? This mystery has captivated scientists for years.
Therefore, it is not surprising that Atlanteans nine thousand years ago were aware of Sirius.
No doubt about it; the key to unlocking this mechanism must lie within this cluster of gems!
A surge of joy filled my heart as I observed more closely, my gaze quickly locking onto a heart-shaped ruby that was exquisitely translucent and vibrant. This ruby was positioned quite uniquely, right in the center of Orion, giving the impression of being the hunter's heart—particularly eye-catching!
This is it!
The Atlanteans have always believed that Orion possesses its own vitality, which is the Heart of Atlantis. That is Orion's heart, and it has bestowed its heart upon Atlantis, for which Atlantis should forever be grateful!
I speculated that the key to the mechanism might lie within this ruby. Unable to resist, I reached out and touched it. To my surprise, the ruby was not firmly embedded; it wobbled slightly under my touch!
It can move!
With determination, I pressed down hard on the ruby. To my astonishment, it sank into the wall.
Suddenly, a series of strange sounds erupted from behind the wall, reminiscent of machinery whirring to life!
Then, the wall began to tremble, accompanied by a thunderous rumble as it slowly lifted upward!
As the wall opened, a dazzling white light burst forth from the gap, intensely bright and radiant, illuminating the entire passageway!
I realized that I had unlocked the door to the center of Atlantis Civilization—Poseidonia!
This wall must have been the city gate of Poseidonia!
Bald Qiang and the others were equally stunned by this sequence of events; they all fell silent, mouths agape as they stared in awe at everything before them...
Finally, the wall was completely pulled apart, revealing a thin layer of white light membrane before us. It was clear that this membrane was the source of the white light we had seen earlier. Through it, faintly visible were the remnants of a vast ruin, remarkably well-preserved. The streets and buildings showed only minor collapses and damage, but the long street was littered with bones, stacked layer upon layer. These were clearly the remains left by the Atlanteans from nine thousand years ago. Strangely enough, after all this time, these bones had not weathered away, likely related to the Heart of Atlantis. As for the white light membrane, it too was undoubtedly connected to that object.
To be honest, at that moment, I suddenly developed a great interest in the Heart of Atlantis. What exactly was it? Its energy was formidable to such an extent!
With a mindset of just trying it out, I reached my hand toward the light membrane, feeling a bit nervous about whether it would repel me. Thus, my movements were slow.
As it turned out, I had been overly cautious. When my hand reached the light membrane, it simply passed through without any harm. In hindsight, it made sense; having opened the Stargate meant entering Poseidonia's city gates—what harm could come from that?
I relaxed and took a step forward, crossing through the light membrane into the empty ruins of Poseidonia.
Instantly, a chilling aura enveloped me, causing goosebumps to rise all over my body as I couldn't help but shiver!
The eerie energy was so intense?
I felt a bit puzzled and began to observe my surroundings.
In fact, that layer of light membrane wasn't just at the entrance; it enveloped all of Poseidonia in a semi-spherical shape, covering the entire city within a massive light dome. The soft white light illuminated the city, yet inside it felt cold and eerie, adding to the strangeness of this place.
Outside the membrane was seawater; I could even faintly see creatures swimming within it!
At this point, I finally understood why Poseidonia had managed to survive amidst the cataclysm that sank Atlantis. The Heart of Atlantis must have emitted powerful energy at that time, forming this protective dome around the city. That’s why it wasn’t submerged; moreover, some residents of Poseidonia had miraculously survived without being crushed during the collapse. They recorded Atlantis's past and level of civilization through murals to inform future generations—there once existed an extraordinarily brilliant civilization on this continent!
“Ah! There are ghosts here!”
I turned around at the sound of a voice and saw Ghost Granny's terrified scream piercing through the entire light membrane. Damn it! You’re going to scare me to death! This old woman is always so dramatic; she doesn’t even consider her own state. Why can’t she just keep quiet instead of shouting about ghosts?
In an instant, even with my usually good temper, I couldn't help but explode. I shot a fierce glare at Ghost Granny and shouted, "Are you out of your mind?!"
Ghost Granny's face immediately darkened. "Turtle Grandson, I'm not lying to you. There are indeed ghosts in this place, and quite a few of them! Do you know why the survivors from Nine Thousand Years Ago would rather dig in the dirt outside than stay here? It's because there are ghosts!"
It seemed that Ghost Granny was still fuming. She angrily walked ahead without paying attention to where she was going, her black cloth shoes continuously trampling on the white bones scattered on the street. With each step, bones were crushed underfoot with a sickening crunch. She swayed as she said, "I'm walking over their corpses; they wouldn't dare even let out a peep! Just cursing you a couple of times, and they let out a whole string of farts!"
I was taken aback by Old Madman's antics and instinctively glanced at Zhengyang.
"Follow me! I'll protect you!"
What the hell? When did a bunch of grown men start relying on this old woman for protection?
Zhengyang shot a glare at everyone, helplessly adjusted his clothes, and followed Ghost Granny's lead.
They moved, and we couldn't just stand there; we had no choice but to follow.
I don't know if it was Ghost Granny's presence that calmed whatever was in this place, but for the first stretch of our walk, we didn't encounter anything particularly unusual. After walking down this main street for nearly two or three miles, Bear Big suddenly stopped without warning. His nose twitched repeatedly, and after a moment, he squinted slightly. "Something's off; someone has died here."
What the hell? With skeletons all over the ground, were we blind?
After a pause, Bear Big added, "Someone just died not long ago; the corpse stinks!"
