All that remained was an impenetrable darkness, and I found myself submerged in a warm, damp liquid that reeked of decay. This scene was terrifying—more terrifying than painful!!
Unless one has experienced it firsthand, it is impossible to imagine the horror of watching one's own skin peel away in chunks, revealing the soft fatty tissue beneath. Even though I had come to terms with life and death, I still found myself wide-eyed in disbelief, nearly losing my composure...

I clearly saw a flash of Golden Light beneath my skin; it gathered and quickly vanished into my body.
But this was not the end. After all my skin had peeled away, my flesh began to fall off rapidly. Pieces of meat dropped from me like rain, each chunk about the size of a fingernail plummeting down...

I even saw something resembling a soul within me, wrapped in three strands of foul energy. That must be Xiao Xiao's soul, and those three strands of foul energy were the Corpse Poison that sought to resurrect her!
I understood that this misfortune had brought me an opportunity—a chance to completely eradicate the Corpse Poison and save both Xiao Xiao and my own life.
