Ghost Trapping Formation! 0

According to the records in Mausoleum Secrets, "There are three thousand six hundred methods to trap ghosts. In ancient times, the King of Hell left behind six major formations to prevent ghost soldiers from rebelling, each of which evolved into six hundred formations, totaling three thousand six hundred. Currently, about three hundred remain in existence, while the others have been lost to the chaos of various dynasties. Maoshan possesses one of these major formations, with thirty-six variations. The layout of these formations is complex and cannot be arranged by just anyone in a short time. 0

One formation that shows quick results, possesses strong capabilities, and employs straightforward yet particularly powerful methods is called the Ghost Trapping Formation. This formation only requires four lights at its corners; even four torches will suffice. However, igniting these lights requires a special flame known as the burning finger flame. This involves using Heart Flame to ignite one's fingertip and then using that finger to light the flame on a wooden stick. Once lit, the stick burns entirely with Heart Flame. Anyone who experiences this formation will either die or be severely injured, and recovery may take at least a year and a half. 0

There’s no other choice; it must be done. It’s better than dying here! 0

“Furball, how long can you hold out?” 0

“Ten minutes!” they both replied in unison. Immediately after, they joined the battle against the chaotic Zombies and others... 0

While they fought against the Zombies, I also sprang into action. I used my Azure Dark Sword to block several troublesome foes and found shelter behind a door. I quickly recited an incantation and shouted “Qi!” Suddenly, a warm current surged from my heart, flowing through my body along the pathways of my hands: Taiyin lung meridian, hand jueyin pericardium meridian, hand shaoyin heart meridian, hand yangming large intestine meridian, hand shaoyang triple warmer meridian, hand taiyang small intestine meridian, all converging towards the tip of my index finger. With a pop, a ghostly blue Flame shot up over ten centimeters, startling me. 0

I broke a wooden stick into four pieces and tucked them away on my person. Holding my breath and focusing, I quickly observed the tomb chamber with my peripheral vision to determine four positions for the lights. 0

As I moved deeper inside, I reached the Northeast corner and used the burning finger flame to ignite one of the sticks before inserting it into a crack in the ground. 0

I then ignited sticks in the southwest, southeast, and northwest corners in succession. Instantly, a simple Ghost Trapping Formation was formed. The ground appeared as if woven into a spider's web, glowing with an eerie blue light. I felt a force pulling away from my body; initially it was a gentle stream within tolerable limits until it erupted with a roar. 0

The Five-Element Web suddenly became alive as if countless spiders were scurrying back and forth, densely covering the entire tomb chamber with this simple Ghost Trapping Formation. 0

At that moment, I saw a blood-soaked coffin in the center, continuously spewing out bright red blood. The coffin seemed to rise from the ground like a fountain, supported by several streams of boiling blood. 0

I could clearly see that the coffin was entirely red and that golden rings pierced through each corner of its lid. Four red threads were tied to these rings; they were incredibly thin but each had rows of iron hooks resembling fishhooks hanging beneath them, gripping the edges of the coffin and lifting it completely. 0

Blood Coffin? 0

It’s still too early to tell! 0

Following the four thin lines, I noticed a black object at the top of the four tomb chambers. 0

Since I was standing at one corner of the room, I tilted my head back to follow the red line. 0

Above the corner, there was an inverted tower that resembled a delicate pagoda. From this angle, it appeared to be made of copper, heavily worn in places where the yellow material underneath was exposed. Thus, I concluded it was the Copper Tower. 0

The Ghost Trapping Formation had been activated, and all the wails and roars of the spirits seemed to be isolated in another space, completely unrelated to us. Even the Black Bone Corpse Demon was temporarily subdued! 0

At the base of the Blood Coffin, bright red liquid continuously seeped out. I began to understand the purpose of this Copper Tower and the four lines. 0

There was another corpse inside. This corpse was indeed the one being suppressed. However, it seemed that whatever lay within had not yet awakened. 0

Opening the coffin directly might lead to unforeseen consequences, but if we did not open it, we would be unable to determine whether it contained the true body. 0

I carefully observed the Blood Coffin and noticed that its head was positioned exactly at the Kan in the Bagua, which corresponds to water. Water and fire have always been incompatible. The flames I had ignited created a conflict between water and fire; thus, with one of the lights clashing against the coffin's head, it surely signified great misfortune! 0

Understanding this principle, I took another careful look at the coffin and became aware of what those four lines represented! 0

The red line was for guidance, while the tower was for soul collection! 0

These four towers could draw out the soul from within the coffin by following the guiding lines, separating it and trapping each soul in one of the surrounding towers. This way, the deceased inside would be eternally confined—unable to reincarnate or escape. Once the Copper Tower completely absorbed their souls, the corpse inside would become a Walking Corpse—neither decaying nor finding peace in burial! 0

The person who set up this Blood Coffin was truly malicious! Using such a brutal method was utterly insane; one must harbor immense hatred to resort to such cruelty! 0

While taking advantage of the Ghost Trapping Formation's effectiveness, Wan and Furball nearly eradicated all those trapped spirits. However, the burning sticks had limited endurance; three flames were already emitting blue smoke, and the last one struggled for survival. 0

At that moment, I noticed that flesh had begun to grow on the Black Death Corpse Demon’s face, its head turning green. Honestly, it was by far the most terrifying apparition I had ever encountered—its skin a ghastly green with sharp fangs that bore no resemblance to anything human. The two upper fangs dripped with dark liquid that corroded the ground upon contact, sizzling as it ate through stone slabs like acid. This must have been Corpse Poison that had festered within for years—likely more corrosive than Concentrated Sulfuric Acid. If bitten by this creature, a living person would surely perish within moments. 0

As it stood up, its crimson eyes locked onto us. After staring for a while, it let out a sinister laugh: “I thought who it was—the old man's descendant has come to die again! Ha ha! Do you think you can come and go as you please in this place?” 0

A sudden jolt ran through my heart. 0

Could that old man be my grandfather? How could he recognize him? 0

"Haha! You bunch of cowards..." The figure laughed increasingly strangely, eventually bursting into a fit of laughter! 0

If nothing else could provoke me, the taunts of a ghost certainly would. Rage surged within me, and I felt a wave of Killing Intent rising from deep inside. My eyes were clouded with Blood Mist as I brandished the Azure Dark Sword and charged at the ghost. 0

Crack! 0

A sharp sound of bones breaking echoed… 0

The voice of the Black Bone Corpse Demon, which had just been roaring in anger, was abruptly silenced. Its mouth twisted awkwardly; my heavy blow had dislocated its jaw while it was speaking! 0

Instantly, the Black Bone Corpse Demon was furious. Its resentment and Eerie Energy surged wildly, causing the temperature in the main tomb chamber to drop even further. It bared its fangs and claws, ready to pounce on me in a desperate fight… 0

However, it barely took two steps before its right foot gave a loud crack as it twisted—more accurately, it broke. Green blood splattered everywhere, and I could see the jagged bone clearly! 0

I hadn’t expected this power within me to be so strong. The Azure Dark Sword emitted a ghostly blue sword aura, extending over ten feet long as I unleashed a flurry of blows against the Black Bone Corpse Demon… 0
