All of them are Cannibal Zombies!
The number of Cannibal Zombies swaying over the cliff must be no less than thirty or forty, and more are continuously coming this way from the other side of the cliff, like a tide of Cannibal Zombies!
In an instant, a white mist rose.
Within the White Mist, there were faint low growls and roars echoing.
Gradually, the foremost Cannibal Zombie began to emerge from the fog. Leading the pack was a figure covered in terrifying tattoos, with a face resembling crocodile skin, wielding a spear. Damn it, it was one of those Cannibal Zombies I had beaten up before, and now it had come back to the front!
However, at this moment, their appearance had drastically changed. Their eyes glowed with an eerie green light, and they were covered in thick green fur, even more than that of a Green-Furred Turtle. This was clearly a sign of decay. How could these people, who seemed fine just moments ago, suddenly turn into monsters? I was filled with confusion and couldn't make sense of it.
In that instant, a flash of insight pierced through my memory. I finally remembered what these so-called Cannibal Zombies really were! They were not human at all; there could be no living beings on this island.
They were Evil Spirits transformed from people who had been burned alive. The so-called ritual of Cannibal Zombies was nothing but an illusion. These spirits were the true existence!
That's right—Evil Spirits!!
Some of them resembled the Tribal People from a nightmare I had one night!
I recalled that when I first moved out to the beachside on this island, I had a nightmare on my first night. I dreamt of a group of Tribal People being exterminated; the bloody and brutal images haunted me. When I eliminated Captain Cook, I absorbed his Killing Intent and saw many visions. No wonder these Cannibal Zombies looked familiar; I had seen them before but didn't realize it at the time. It made sense why such a bright day would suddenly turn foggy!
Suddenly, a rough understanding formed in my mind.
If I'm not mistaken, these Cannibal Zombies must have been cursed directly by the island's shaman!!
After being cursed by the shaman, they transformed into Zombies but remained filled with resentment over their past grievances. They sought revenge against anyone who set foot on the island. This also meant that if one caught the attention of these Demons, there was a high chance they would become Zombies!
Although the abilities of these Zombies are far inferior to those of true Zombies, they are still countless times more terrifying. Once attacked or bitten by a Zombie, it signifies certain death. Even worse than death is that you would turn into a Zombie yourself!
It seems that everyone on this island, including all animals, has turned into Zombies. No wonder as soon as we entered this island and stepped into this area, such dense death energy gathered in the air. The entire island and its surroundings were suffocated with death energy; it was no surprise that such an ominous atmosphere prevailed!
Looking at the Cannibal Zombies outside, a chill crept into my heart.
"Brother Xia..."
Seeing the Cannibal Zombies spread across the mountains, she seemed filled with fear. Afraid? I was scared too!
I knew that facing such a massive horde of Cannibal Zombies required strong mental fortitude.
Cannibal Zombies were not just monsters; they were also Vengeful Spirits. Eliminating them meant ending their path of Reincarnation, causing them to perish in this world and vanish into nothingness!
It was better to strike hard than to be caught in this limbo of being neither human nor ghost!
"Wan, kill! Demons block, kill demons..."

At that moment, Wan's face also turned pale, filled with hesitation. In truth, Spirits and Vengeful Spirits shared a connection; turning these Vengeful Spirits to ashes weighed heavily on her heart! I glanced outside, and for some reason, the Cannibal Zombies had slowed their pace!
It turned out these Cannibal Zombies were waiting for their companions behind the cliff, planning to use their numbers to launch an attack on us, leaving us no escape!
"Then let's make our move!"
I sighed. "Wan! Right now, it's just the two of us against nearly seventy or eighty Cannibal Zombies. From here on out, we have to rely on ourselves. Life and death are fated; wealth and honor are fleeting. Xia will not abandon you!"
"Mm! Brother Xia, I will follow your lead!"
Suddenly, an eerie energy surged towards me, penetrating deep into my bones. Without hesitation, I charged toward the Cannibal Zombies. In an instant, a gust of foul-smelling wind rushed at me as the Cannibal Zombies were drawn closer. The first few Cannibal Zombies were less than ten meters away; I could clearly see every strand of green hair on them...
Killing Intent surged within me as a half-meter-long solidified Killing Intent erupted from the blade of my Azure Dark Sword. The screams of the Cannibal Zombies echoed in my ears as my heart sank into my gut, leaving only the will to fight. Unable to contain myself, I let out a fierce roar: "Kill!" Gripping the Azure Dark Sword tightly, I charged directly at the Cannibal Zombies!
A roar erupted, igniting the dormant blood within me. I could feel a surge of heat rolling through my chest, filling me with strength; it was the boiling spirit of battle.
In this moment, amidst endless peril, I began to grow increasingly combative. Driven by this intense desire, I charged outside, wielding the Hundred Slicing Blade.
This confined space would become my battleground, where I would fight to the death. No matter what, I could not allow these creatures to leave alive!
I leaned against a large tree, holding a dagger to fend off the enemies. Meanwhile, I had no choice but to engage in close combat with the Cannibal Zombies, ready to slaughter! Let all obstacles in my path be reduced to ruins!
In a moment of stunned silence, the Cannibal Zombies surged toward me like a tide!
At that moment, the first few Cannibal Zombies lunged at me. The distance of several dozen meters closed in mere breaths as they sprinted with all their might. Soon, six or seven Cannibal Zombies were right before my eyes; I could smell the foul stench emanating from them, reminiscent of rotting fish!
These Cannibal Zombies must have been at the peak of Daoist Practice!
I narrowed my eyes slightly and swung the Azure Dark Sword in a wide arc toward them. Although these Cannibal Zombies were not highly skilled in Daoist Practice, they had only recently turned into corpses and were still sluggish. They moved clumsily like ordinary zombies—just sturdier and stronger without any intelligence. Having just slain four Cannibal Zombies, three more lunged at me from either side. Their green-furred claws extended over ten centimeters with sharp, metallic tips resembling three-edged blades, reaching out to grab me!
If they tore through my skin, it wouldn’t be long before I became a Zombie too!
