Soon, a large platter of seafood was served at the table. I dined in front of her, still holding back a bit. I elegantly picked up a piece of vegetable and placed it in my mouth. Then I grabbed several clams. However, when it came to the lobster, I completely lost myself, tearing into it with abandon. My eating style was utterly mismatched with my demeanor. 0

It’s worth noting her eating habits, which made even this rough-and-tumble foodie feel embarrassed. Her eyes sparkled with hunger, like a starving ghost reincarnated. She used chopsticks to pick up food, and even resorted to using her hands. Clutching a lobster, she devoured it whole, shell and all. Her mouth was glistening with grease, and she had even let some drool escape. She laughed foolishly between bites, leaving those around her feeling awkward; a stunning beauty's image was completely ruined over a meal! 0

She took a moment to savor the fish slices and fresh sauce hanging from her mouth, inhaling them with delight. The nearby elegant diner watched in shock as she enjoyed herself immensely. The waiter stood by, stunned into laughter, some even doubled over in fits of giggles. 0

Watching her demolish the seafood without restraint, I felt no need for decorum anymore. Furball appeared from who knows where, burying itself in the pile of seafood. In no time at all, the mountain of seafood was reduced to mere shells. The two of them and one dog feasted like evil spirits reincarnated, leaving everyone around them dumbfounded! 0

“Wow! How long have these people gone without eating? If I didn’t know they paid, I’d think they were here for a free meal!” one diner exclaimed in disbelief. 0

Suddenly, a commotion erupted at the entrance: “Boss! I just had a meal and left my bag in your place!” A buzz-cut man stood at the door with a cigarette dangling from his lips. 0

Behind him were several thuggish-looking individuals with brightly dyed hair and multiple piercings adorning their ears. Their exposed arms were covered in cheap tattoos—one bore the character for "endure," while another had "dragon." 0

These individuals with yellow and green hair could easily be described as the local version of flashy barbershop patrons! 0

It was clear they were local hoodlums collecting protection money! 0

With the current crackdown on crime, they couldn’t openly demand protection money; they had to resort to these underhanded tactics instead. 0

I could tell there was going to be some entertainment; such a large establishment surely had its backing. Anyone bold enough to come here for extortion must have someone pulling the strings behind them. By this time, we had nearly finished our meal. I sat back in my seat, keenly observing what would unfold. 0

The boss looked like an old hand at this game; though he appeared simple-minded on the surface, there was an underlying air of integrity about him. Clearly, he was also skilled in Tai Chi. 0

The boss knew what was happening and smiled as he said, “Gentlemen, don’t worry; my staff are honest people. If anyone truly lost something here, we wouldn’t hide it!” After all, businesspeople value harmony for profit; settling for three or five hundred would be ideal! 0

“Then hand it over!” the buzz-cut man shot a sideways glance at the boss. “There’s five thousand cash in that bag!” “Brother, you better look closely; our establishment has its reputation!” This statement served as a warning not to push things too far. 0

Asking for three or five hundred would be akin to giving alms to beggars. This guy was outright demanding five thousand—essentially robbery! 0

“Who’s your brother! Pfft!” The buzz-cut man spat out his cigarette butt and pointed angrily at the boss’s nose: “Are you implying that we’re trying to scam you?” 0

Boss, accustomed to the ways of the world, calmly passed over a cigarette and said, "There's no need for that. You brothers look like good people!" 0

"Don't give me that!" Buzz Cut shoved him aside. "Let me tell you, even good people bite when pushed! That money is hard-earned from my labor, and if it’s lost here, you have to give it back to me!" 0

Several people nearby chimed in, "You can't be heartless, Boss! You mustn't be greedy for this hard-earned money! There will be ghosts knocking at your door at night!" Hearing this, I realized these were just distractions. I continued to sit and wait for their next move, curious about what they planned to do. 0

Seeing that Boss wasn't taking the bait, Buzz Cut suddenly had a brainwave. He pointed at a girl and shouted, "It's her! When we were leaving just now, she took my bag!" The girl was busy eating and had oil all over her face; she looked momentarily stunned. Even more surprising was her reaction—she trembled and protested, "It wasn't me! I swear it wasn't me!" 0

That damn bastard probably scanned the room and thought only the girl was someone he could bully. So he felt free to act like a thug! 0

I knew the girl's capabilities. She signaled me not to move; I figured she intended to toy with these thugs for a bit. Because of this, I didn’t rush to intervene. 0

"Still pretending?" Buzz Cut yelled angrily and threw a punch at her, causing her to fall onto the ground and start fake crying while occasionally shooting me a glance. "If you don’t see it, watch me beat you to death!" He raised his foot again to kick her. 0

"What the hell!" A burly man among the diners shouted angrily. He grabbed a wine jug from the table and threw it at Buzz Cut, yelling, "Get lost!" The jug hit Buzz Cut squarely on the head. The girl surprisingly gave me a thumbs-up and smiled before continuing her act of crying on the floor. 0

"Damn it! Old Man, are you tired of living? How dare you meddle in my business!" Buzz Cut roared as he charged at the burly man. "Watch how I deal with you, old bones..." 0

Bullying a diner showed utter disrespect for the shop owner. 0

Boss was clearly furious; he trembled all over without saying a word and then slapped Buzz Cut, sending him crashing to the ground outside the shop with a bright red handprint on his face. 0

Boss coldly commanded, "Keep your mouth clean!" 0

Buzz Cut, dazed from the blow, waved his hands frantically. "Don’t hit me! Let’s talk this out!" It was evident that Boss had decided to stand his ground; in their line of work, without backing, one couldn't hold their position. If customers were harmed, Boss couldn’t afford to stay silent. 0

"Damn..." Buzz Cut climbed up from the ground but had barely uttered a word before Boss kicked him again. His stomach churned violently as he bent over and vomited; two of his knocked-out teeth fell out of his mouth. 0

"Brother Qiang!" 0

As soon as the thugs realized their boss was at a disadvantage, they became frantic and quickly surrounded the entrance of the shop. They picked up chairs from the ground and smashed them down, shouting, "You inside, if you have guts, come out!" 0

The Boss was not one to back down easily. He yelled for a group of employees to come out. They all pulled out short clubs, and I could see he meant business. He coldly commanded, "Leave this to me. I'll handle these bastards on my own!" 0

After experiencing several months of supernatural events, dealing with three or five thugs was no challenge for me. It was time for me to show my skills. 0

Buzz Cut saw the crowd and immediately grew bold. He squatted down and spat out blood, shouting fiercely, "What are you standing around for? Drag that thing out and beat it to death!" 0

The thugs shouted as they charged inside. Before they could even step through the door, I blocked their way with a cold smile. As I rushed into the crowd of thugs, screams filled the air. 0

Having taken down countless ghosts with my fists, it felt easy to strike these pathetic individuals. In less than half a minute, all of them were lying on the ground groaning. There was no need for me to use Mayi Divination on these people! 0

Buzz Cut was dumbfounded, fear evident in his eyes, but he still tried to intimidate us, saying, "Do you know who I am? Let me tell you, if you don't break a few bones today, don't even think about leaving!" 0

Hearing this made me laugh. I grabbed Buzz Cut and started swinging my fists at him. After a few hard slaps, his face was unrecognizable; his cheeks swelled so much that his eyes were nearly closed. He was completely dazed and confused. 0

Once I was done, I dragged Buzz Cut like a dead dog to a telephone pole by the roadside. I pulled out a rope and tied him to the pole tightly; the rope dug into his flesh, causing him to gasp in pain, unable to utter a word. 0
