The voice came with such ferocity that I was momentarily stunned. When I regained my senses and observed Big Mouth Lee closely, the more familiar it became, and I vaguely recalled it...
This voice was something I could never forget!
I had heard this voice many times before, and I was certain this fellow was no ordinary character. As I carefully recalled in my mind, a sudden shiver ran through me, and I widened my eyes in surprise, staring at it.
"Enough! You can't escape now! I'll make sure you understand your fate!"
Big Mouth Lee grabbed at its head, pulling off not just the hair but the skin as well, causing the entire exterior to shatter. It revealed a woman with bangs, her fangs nearly three inches long, one of her arms was missing, and her gaze was fiercely menacing!
"Aunt Huang?"
"Child, you still remember me. It seems my longing wasn't in vain!"
Its movements became incredibly agile, like a wild fox leaping or a vicious cat pouncing on its prey. Its claws elongated by several centimeters, and with a howl, it leaped into the air, tracing an arc as it lunged toward me.
"Hah! I'm not the Xia Ji I used to be; I'm not afraid of you!"
With the Azure Dark Sword in hand, I had nothing to fear. I slashed at it three times, but it deflected each strike effortlessly. With a roar, I brought my sword down from the upper left corner with tremendous force. It jumped back to evade the blow. Aunt Huang landed lightly on one foot and sprang back up. I swiped at her again with two more strikes. One cut off a strand of her long hair, and Aunt Huang's expression suddenly shifted; she became furious, baring her bloodied mouth and revealing glimmering fangs as she lunged for my neck.
The Evil Spirit leaped into the air, and a flash of white light sliced through it, severing it in two. The split was clean, and in that instant of separation, its eyes still glinted with ferocity—hollow yet fierce. Half of its body reached for me and bit down on my shoulder, causing me to break out in cold sweat from the pain. The other half writhed on the ground. After about ten seconds, Aunt Huang transformed into black smoke and vanished.
As the Evil Spirit dissipated into black smoke, a white figure landed before me—it was Zhengyang. Zhengyang stared at me for a long moment before finally asking, "Child, how did you end up here?" Upon hearing this question, I felt completely bewildered. "You ask me? I want to ask you!" I looked at him in confusion and asked, "Who exactly are you?"
"Who am I? Don't you recognize me? Enough of this childishness; come with me!"
At that moment, another figure jumped down. I took a closer look and realized it was still Zhengyang. Suddenly, two Zhengyangs stood before me, and I couldn't tell which one was real and which one was fake, but I was certain that one of them was an imposter. My scalp tingled, and cold sweat poured down my face. One of the Zhengyangs grabbed me forcefully, and I couldn't break free as I ran towards a Spear Earth Wall.
I was completely unable to escape; the sound of wind rushed in my ears as that hand gripped me like a giant claw, pulling me deeper into the desert. Crossing over quicksand felt like walking on solid ground. My mind raced with countless thoughts; it felt as if I were being dragged along like a child... Zhengyang seemed to sense my thoughts: "If you're willing to take this gamble, then you might as well trust me. Until the dust settles, I cannot reveal who I am!"
I fell silent. Did it even matter whether I wanted to gamble or not?
His strength completely overwhelmed me. Even if I was unwilling, what could I do? Rather than struggle uselessly, it would be better to observe the situation! So, I simply went along with his pace.
Zhengyang held onto me for about ten minutes before charging into the Han Army's camp. The Han Army stood tall and imposing, their presence incredibly formidable. Zhengyang released my arm, and I followed obediently. The soldiers regarded Zhengyang with deep respect, as if they were looking at a hero; admiration and reverence shone in their eyes.
I was swept up in this atmosphere and became even more convinced that this person was definitely not Zhengyang, but he wasn't a great evil either. To be honest, seeing such a massive military formation for the first time left me utterly shocked. I couldn't help but adopt a solemn expression as I gazed at this army that once dominated the Western Regions.
A gust of cold wind swept through, carrying with it broken branches from the oasis. Accompanied by this chilling breeze, a troop of Xiongnu Shadow Soldiers surged forward like lightning, densely packed and overwhelming.
"Retreat!"
Zhengyang commanded, "Maintain a chaotic formation!"
The Han Army, which had been in strict formation, suddenly scattered into groups as if they were ink dots on rice paper—chaotic yet still precise. I stood frozen in place; the contrast was too stark. Just seeing the Xiongnu Shadow Soldiers made the Han Army collapse and flee. No way! Did I just see that correctly?
In my stunned moment, a chilling wind suddenly arose around me, and stones from the earthen wall were blasted out with a loud bang, flying into the air.
Then, out of nowhere, a white light shot toward me at high speed. In the instant I noticed it, that white light had already entered my body, and then something terrifying happened—I found myself unable to move!!
After witnessing this scene, I couldn't help but gasp in shock—what kind of existence was this? Just showing up caused such chaos? And it stirred up dust and stones...
I could see everything happening around me clearly, even feel the surroundings, yet I was unable to control my body; I couldn't even lift my arm or speak!
Suddenly, I heard myself shout, "Do not say I did not warn you!" I swung my palm through the air, unleashing a powerful strike that felt like an invisible weapon, hitting the leading Hunnic General.
The fierce warrior let out a muffled groan and fell heavily from his horse, vanishing into a cloud of black smoke. I shouted, "Those who offend the Strong Han shall be punished, no matter how far they are!" With my left palm raised, I hurled a massive boulder toward the Yin Soldiers. Four or five of them attempted to catch it with their hands, but I followed up with a right palm strike. With a loud bang, the boulder shattered into countless fragments. The shards were sharp and flew like shrapnel from an explosion, taking down an entire squad of Yin Soldiers and injuring many others. The air filled with their furious roars, wild howls, and cries of anguish.
Among the Yin Soldiers, a Daoist figure approached with his sleeves billowing like two sails in a favorable wind. I unleashed a swift palm strike toward him. A hissing sound erupted as our forces clashed; his sleeves tore into thousands of pieces that floated down like petals.
Fueled by battle fervor and rising anger, a mysterious power surged into my arm as I launched an attack directly at the Daoist. In an instant, I transformed into a ferocious beast, seizing the Daoist and delivering a crushing blow. His Spirit Cap shattered with a resounding crack, shattering his soul!
The Yin Soldiers cried out in unison, filled with both fear and rage.
I brandished the Azure Dark Sword, its light dancing as I leaped into the midst of the Yin Soldiers, slashing and killing with abandon. My movements were swift and unpredictable; wherever I passed, Yin Soldiers fell like black smoke before me. It was as if I were an unstoppable force of destruction—my attacks were fierce and chaotic.
The ground was littered with corpses—some dismembered and others torn apart—before they could even be examined, they dissolved into black smoke. Witnessing this overwhelming slaughter left me utterly shocked.
More ruthless Yin Soldiers charged at me in waves, but fueled by adrenaline, I slashed and charged wildly in every direction. The Yin Soldiers were quick, but I was quicker, fiercer, more ruthless, and more precise. Every strike was lethal; every thrust aimed to pierce their souls.
Two generals among the Yin Soldiers pushed through the crowd, brandishing dual pistols as they approached from behind me. Each held a round shield in their left hand and a short gun in their right; one wielded a single knife. With a whistle, they shielded themselves and attacked from both sides.
It was as if I had eyes on my back; I turned swiftly to counter the fierce attack from one of the Yin Generals. Leaning slightly to evade their blades, I lunged at one of them. My sword thrust forward; he raised his shield to block it with a loud clang that sparked fire from my Azure Dark Sword—the shield remained unscathed. For a moment, I was stunned as the Yin General swiftly emerged from behind his shield with a spear aimed at my abdomen.
From afar, I gasped in horror and couldn't help but shout, "Watch out!"
I dodged just in time but felt the sharp edge of the round shield graze me, blood oozing out. Enraged, I struck fiercely at the shield with my palm; there was a tremendous crash as it seemed to bear the weight of a thousand pounds and slammed down upon the Yin General without resistance, crushing him into nothingness. Seizing the opportunity, I dispatched another Yin General!
Two Yin Generals, likely among the most significant heroes of the Yin Soldiers, were easily taken down. The morale of the entire Xiongnu army collapsed, and they dared not advance as one of the Yin Generals lashed out at them. I felt like a tiger among sheep, driving this flock like a tide toward a Sand Hollow.
It was strange; with such an overwhelming offensive, fierce and relentless, why not settle things right there?
"Returning what belongs to its rightful owner, this body truly unleashes my power threefold!"
Suddenly, a wave of dark energy floated from my head and vanished in an instant.
In the next moment, I felt that I could finally move. The strength within me was abruptly drained, my legs buckled, and I sat down heavily on the ground. A mountain breeze swept by, sending a shiver through me. I then shouted toward the Sand Hollow, "Who are you?"
There was no response. From within the Sand Hollow came the sounds of battle cries—one side resounding like a rising star, while the other wailed like slaughtered pigs and dogs. Both sounds echoed in my chest, stirring deep emotions. As the clamor began to fade,
the sandstorm gradually dispersed, revealing a bright moon overhead. I caught sight of a white dot on a tall tree in the oasis; in just a few leaps, it landed before me. The figure wore a white robe, carried an ancient sword on his back, and held a severed head in his hand, blood still dripping from its neck. It was Zhengyang, who said, "My child, you've worked hard!"
Honestly, I had no idea who this person was anymore. In just two or three moments, Zhengyang had transformed multiple times like clouds shifting in the sky, leaving me utterly bewildered. I weakly asked, "Who are you?"
Just then, another white dot leaped out from the Sand Hollow and quickly approached me—it was another Zhengyang. Before I could finish speaking, yet another Zhengyang sprang forth from the depths of the desert.
I was completely dumbfounded at that moment; even now, looking back at it would make me laugh. What on earth? So many Zhengyangs?
