"Ah!" Both Lu Jianguo and I exclaimed. It turned out that Tang Lili was not dead; the hanging was merely an illusion. In reality, she had been transformed into a Blood Curse, which was truly cruel and terrifying! 0

Something was definitely wrong! 0

Logically, such a formation that took over a decade to set up should not be targeting a twenty-four-year-old like me. This left me utterly confused! 0

"I misjudged; this is not Yin Sha Yang Shi, but an Evil Shadow Demon!" 0

"Evil Shadow Demon?" 0

In this world, there are only two natures: yin and yang. Humans belong to yang, while ghosts belong to yin. I could faintly see a Ghost Infant grinning within the Blood Curse. Although the Ghost Infant is a type of ghost, it belongs to the yin category. By absorbing the essence of the Blood Curse, this Ghost Infant became more than just yin; it became a combination of two yins, known as "Old Yin." The Bodhi Patriarch warned that "Old Yin cannot give birth!" referring to this Evil Shadow Demon! 0

Old Yin, also known as Taiyin, refers to something that possesses both properties of yin. Yin represents death, so it is indeed alarming when death compounds upon death. What frightened me the most was that the Blood Curse was created from a living person, and the calamity stemmed from multiple miscarriages—these were entities filled with immense resentment. Even ghosts without resentment are terrifying; combining one ghost's resentment with another's creates something truly horrifying! This entity could no longer be classified as just a ghost; it had become an even more fearsome Evil Shadow Demon than Yin Sha Yang Shi. 0

"It takes twenty infant evil formations to refine such an 'evil spirit'! At least twenty young women and two hundred infants have suffered for this! It's truly a crime against humanity!" 0

"Uncle Lu, what should we do?" 0

"We need to use Yang Fire to burn the willow trees. If we can incinerate the Blood Curse, we will be safe!" 0

"Alright!" 0

Lu Jianguo and I knocked down several willow trees, arranged the branches, and moved the Blood Curse onto them. By the time we finished all this, it was around eight fifty. Lu Jianguo checked his watch and used a fire bow to ignite the Yang Fire. As soon as the clock struck nine, he shouted, "Burn!" 0

No matter how we tried, the flames wouldn't catch; they only flickered at one or two centimeters high, emitting a blue light and threatening to extinguish! 0

"Quick, use the Celestial Five Thunder Talisman!" I didn't really understand how the talisman worked, but I pricked my fingertip and let a drop of blood fall onto it before tossing it into the fire. As soon as the talisman hit the flames, they flared up dramatically, tongues of fire shooting up to ten feet high, scorching everything around. Strangely, the Blood Curse remained completely unaffected; not only was my body safe from being burned, but even my hair was untouched. 0

What the hell! 0

The Yang Fire could easily incinerate even the indestructible Ghost Eye Tree, yet it couldn't even singe a hair of the Blood Curse? Was this some kind of nightmare? 0

"Don't bother; that thing is already on the move!" 0

"The Ghost Infant?" 0

I had a habit of referring to the Evil Shadow Demon as the Ghost Infant, and I couldn't shake that habit in an instant. Lu Jianguo understood what I meant without needing further explanation. 0

"That's right!" 0

"You're asking for trouble!" Lu Jianguo was clearly furious. A fierce light erupted from his usually gentle face, making him look terrifying enough to send shivers down my spine. 0

Lu Jianguo grabbed an Entrenching Shovel and charged forward. As he approached the Blood Curse, he swung the shovel down with all his might. The Blood Curse's head was severed with a loud thud as it fell to the ground. 0

Eerie Energy burst forth from its neck, and the air around us seemed to freeze, making me tremble uncontrollably. Before long, a lump of flesh rolled out from the Blood Curse's neck cavity. It rolled a few meters away before coming to a stop. The flesh was pitch black, as if coated in wax, and through the thick layer of wax, I could see a baby curled up inside. 0

A chilling wind swept by, causing the thick wax to crack open with a series of sharp sounds. Countless fissures spread out from all directions, followed by a deafening explosion as the wax ball burst apart. A Ghost Infant tumbled out, sprouting red hair in the wind. 0

To be honest, this scene was too horrifying. It made me question everything I thought I knew about science! 0

A foul odor suddenly wafted through the air, making one feel nauseous. "Quick, use the Celestial Five Thunder Talisman to cover your mouth and nose!" Lu Jianguo shouted. He then pulled out a bamboo leaf to shield his face; the leaf could also help block the Corpse Qi. The stench lingered for about three or four minutes before gradually dissipating. It turned out that when the Ghost Infant's True Body came into contact with the air, it underwent oxidation, causing its insides to rapidly decay and emit a terrible smell. 0

"Damn it, this Demon still dares to deceive me; he was killed by an old driver’s tricks!" 0

"Ghost stories have some truth and some falsehood! Do you dare to believe it all?" 0

"I'll dig him down so deep that he’ll never be reborn!" Lu Jianguo swung his iron shovel, biting his fingertip until blood dripped onto the shovel. His pure Yang body combined with pure Yang blood made him incredibly fierce against ghosts. This Shovel contained the Mao Mountain Mystical Power. He raised it high above his head, ready to bring it down. 0

With a swift motion, the shovel stopped abruptly in mid-air. The Ghost Infant surprisingly reached out both hands to block the shovel. As the shovel made contact with its hands, white smoke erupted, scorching the red hair on its palms. 0

The Ghost Infant deflected the shovel and, like a monkey flipping over, leaped into the air, landing on its feet with its forehead facing us and hands on the ground. To our astonishment, it knelt down with a thud, banging its head repeatedly! 0

"Two ancestors, there’s a reason for every grievance! I’m just a child who didn’t recognize Mount Tai and dared to think ill of this esteemed elder. Please spare me; let’s keep our waters separate from now on!" 0

"Damn!" Lu Jianguo and I were taken aback. 0

This Ghost Infant was more intelligent than an average ghost, but we never expected it to kneel and beg for mercy! "What is going on here?" I found myself momentarily at a loss. 0

"Since you've even dug up my grave, do you think this Liangzi can be resolved?" 0

"Don’t go too far; if I get angry, you as a mortal and you as a Three Yuan Real Person might not be able to handle me!" 0

Hearing its words made me uneasy. However, who could tell whether this string of ghostly claims was true or false? Lu Jianguo sneered coldly and tossed a Yellow Talisman into the air without hesitation. He swung his Entrenching Shovel through the Yellow Talisman, which ignited instantly! 0

"Quickly, raise your palms inward, then extend your index fingers upward, and wrap your middle fingers around your index fingers. Form the Vajra Wheel Seal gesture to assist me!" Following Uncle Lu's instructions, I formed the Great Vajra Wheel hand sign and pointed it at the Ghost Infant. The Ghost Infant intended to escape using earth escape techniques, leaping into the air and crashing down hard onto the ground, but it was unable to execute its plan. It stomped its feet in frustration. 0

"Hold on for a moment!" 0

Lu Jianguo used the Sophora Tree as his foundation and drew a large circle within a radius of seven or eight steps. He then took out some white lime from his pack and drew a pattern resembling a Pentagram. He retrieved an Iron Lantern and placed three pairs at each corner, leaving one lantern in the center of the Pentagram. He pointed into the air, and suddenly, the seven lanterns flared up high. 0

"The Seven Star Five Point Formation?" The Ghost Infant's expression changed dramatically, shifting from white to red, then from red to purple, and finally from purple to black. It collapsed onto the ground. After a long pause, the Ghost Infant let out a roar, "Even if I have to shatter my soul, I will fight back!" With that, it jumped up high—three or four meters—leaping towards me like a monkey. 0

"You're asking for trouble!" 0

Lu Jianguo pulled out a talisman whip and swung it fiercely at the creature. Like a flash of lightning, it struck the Ghost Infant, causing it to stumble. The Ghost Infant jumped again, and Lu Jianguo lashed out at its head with another whip strike that sent sparks flying. The Ghost Infant rolled on the ground, clutching its head. Lu Jianguo drew his whip again and swung it hard, ensnaring the Ghost Infant and throwing it into the center of the Seven Star Five Point Formation. The Ghost Infant let out a desperate howl as red light burst forth; several lanterns connected together. The Ghost Infant simply stopped moving, allowing Lu Jianguo to continue striking. 0

The Ghost Infant cried out in agony as Lu Jianguo unleashed more than ten strikes with his whip, each leaving bloody marks. The Ghost Infant transformed from a watermelon-sized mass into something as small as a mango, then from a mango to an apple, and finally from an apple to a plum. 0

"Uncle Lu, what kind of whip is this?" 0

"I'll deal with that Ghost Infant first!" 0

Just as Lu Jianguo's whip was about to descend again, the Ghost Infant raised its hand. A rustling sound came from the bushes as a gust of cold wind swept through, forcing both of us to stagger backward in alarm—a sense of foreboding washed over us... 0
