I had just arrived in Rongcheng and settled in at Zhou Daming's house when the phone rang. It was Big Mouth Lee calling, and he was right on time. He wanted to discuss something important in person, and after some back-and-forth, I directly asked him what it was. With a bold face, he asked to borrow my copy of Mausoleum Secrets for some photos, offering a few Celestial Five Thunder Talismans in exchange. 0

According to Mausoleum Secrets, the Celestial Sect's Five Thunder Technique is a superior thunder method! Thunder is born from the balance of yin and yang. Three thunders from the east, two from the south, one from the north, and four from the west—five in total at the center. Thunder is the energy that travels through the earth, hence it is known as the Five Thunders. The Divine Lightning Talismans, famously known as the Five Thunder Talismans, can not only protect homes and dispel evil but also suppress wandering souls and malevolent spirits. 0

In Twisted Alley, a single Five Thunder Talismans costs at least three hundred yuan, making this trade quite worthwhile. I decided to head to Twisted Alley and Zhong Kui Temple that night. Little did I know that this trip would bring about a lot of trouble! 0

That night, around nine o'clock, it started raining again. 0

Holding an umbrella with Furball tucked into my backpack, I made my way to Twisted Alley and arrived at Big Mouth Lee's home. 0

Big Mouth Lee's room was a complete mess—instant noodle cups piled high, empty beer bottles scattered everywhere, chicken bones littered across the floor, and unfinished spicy strips lying around. 0

Big Mouth Lee wasted no time; he pulled out his phone and began snapping pictures of Mausoleum Secrets like a maniac. Little did he know that I possessed the Maoshan Heart Method, so I certainly wouldn't show him the book easily. Knowing someone well doesn't mean you can trust them completely; I still had to be cautious around him. A smirk crept onto my lips at this thought. 0

"Ow! Ow! Ow!" 0

Furball seemed anxious inside my backpack, repeatedly bumping its head against it and trembling uncontrollably. I tried to soothe it, but it only grew more restless! 0

Big Mouth Lee abruptly stopped taking pictures; I noticed his left ear twitching. He spoke up, "My left ear is twitching; something dirty is coming our way!" He looked up at me with a wry smile and said, "You've got me into trouble again! Every time I see you, something dirty shows up!" 0

Big Mouth Lee pulled out a compass from his cabinet; it spun wildly, startling him. "I've never seen such a fierce dirty thing! Damn it! What kind of demon have you stirred up?" I thought to myself, "How the hell should I know what kind of demon this is?" A wave of unease washed over me. 0

The compass turned white when indicating "Yin Needle." A person's aura is influenced by the universe's energy field; harmony between humans and the universe brings good fortune while disharmony brings misfortune. The compass reacts to the magnetic fields of mountains and earth to move its needle. In nature's Yin-Yang balance, if everything is in harmony, the needle remains still. However, if there’s an overwhelming Eerie Energy causing imbalance between yin and yang, it disrupts the magnetic field—the stronger the Eerie Energy, the faster the needle spins. Currently, the most widely used compass is the Yang compass; during the Tang Dynasty, Yang Jun Song allocated Bagua elements evenly across its surface. 0

Outside, rain continued to pour in thick darkness. 0

A dense fog had rolled in on the street outside without warning; it was so thick that you could almost grasp it with your hands. Visibility dropped significantly as a chilling breeze swept through. 0

Rongcheng is close to the sea; it could almost be considered an island. Such fog isn’t particularly surprising here. However, this level of density was indeed rare. 0

There are two types of fog: Natural Fog and Ghost Mist. Natural Fog slowly fills the space over time, while Ghost Mist suddenly fills an area like thick smoke due to a surge of Eerie Energy, accompanied by chilling winds. 0

Big Mouth Lee twitched his lips. "Your forehead is dark; bad luck is coming your way! I can sense that these Dirty Things are definitely here to trouble you!" I let out a cold laugh. "A man should bear the consequences of his own actions!" With a loud bang, Big Mouth Lee slammed his hand on the table, causing chicken bones, instant noodles, and spicy strips to jump. He shouted at me, "Do you think I'm your friend? Am I that kind of person?" I shook my head. 0

"Just wait! You'll see the power of my Divine Seal of Tranquility!" Big Mouth Lee's lips twitched, seemingly moved by his own words. 0

"Close the door!" With a loud thud, Big Mouth Lee plastered talismans all over the doors and windows, then kicked back on the tattered sofa as if admiring his 'masterpiece' throughout the room. 0

No sooner had Big Mouth Lee finished speaking than a series of footsteps echoed outside—soft yet distinct. 0

Rustle! 0

Rustle! 0

I heard nails scratching at the front door. Soon after, there was a sound like a mouse gnawing on wood. I held my breath and tiptoed to peek through the crack in the door. A thin figure stood there, completely naked except for a bellyband. Its two crimson eyes and jagged teeth glinted as it clawed at the door with its hands and gnawed at it with its mouth, causing wooden shavings to fall as it chewed through, creating a hole. 0

I was startled by the sight of this Demon. However, having weathered many storms, I still had the courage to take another look. I thought to myself, "It looks familiar!" The creature seemed to sense me too; it turned one of its red eyes toward the crack in the door and let out a chilling laugh. I stumbled back three or four steps and suddenly realized, "Isn't that a Ghost Infant? Damn it, it's come to bully me!" 0

"If it weren't for my talisman's effectiveness, it wouldn't have needed to break down the door!" Big Mouth Lee noticed my unease and added another jab, "You’re just a ghost magnet; wherever you go, ghosts fill the streets!" 0

The Celestial Sect's house-protecting talisman is effective for warding off spirits but not strong enough against Walking Corpses and similar creatures. Thankfully, this Talisman protects the house; otherwise, that ghost would have already turned into a chilling wind and entered. In other words, this house-protecting talisman can fend off incorporeal Evil Spirits but cannot withstand corporeal entities like Walking Corpses. 0

Crack! 0

A loud noise came from the door as the Ghost Infant finally gnawed out a large hole. Dense Eerie Energy surged into the room, making me shiver all over! 0

"...The bright moon spills light; the cold wind sways through willow lanes. It’s a female ghost seeking her lover; who would wish to love this sorrowful ghost bride? Accompanying the female ghost, sneaking under moonlight in deep night..." A terrifying childlike voice sang as it floated in with the chilling wind. Another wave of horrifying laughter erupted—cackling that made my hair stand on end and sent chills down my spine. 0

In that dim fog, a short figure with red eyes crawled through the gaping hole in the door. 0

Ghost Infant bared its fangs, declaring, "None of you will escape today; all of you will die here!" 0

Big Mouth Lee saw the situation and shouted in alarm, "The Ghost Infant is filled with resentment and has incredibly sharp teeth. If it bites you, you'll lose a chunk of flesh from your leg!" I coldly laughed to myself, thinking, "Screw you! I've fought against the Iron Corpse before! Why should I be afraid of a little brat like you?" 0

I grabbed a beer bottle from the corner of the table and shouted at the Ghost Infant, "You little monster! No matter how skilled you are, one brick will take you down!" 0

As I yelled, I charged forward unexpectedly. I swung the beer bottle hard at the Ghost Infant's head. The quality of the bottle was good; it struck the Ghost Infant, causing it to stagger back, even cracking its head open and spilling dark blood everywhere. 0

"You've come to bully me at my doorstep!" Seeing the Ghost Infant's head split open only fueled my determination. I jumped up and brought the broken bottle down hard. Bang! The bottle shattered! The Ghost Infant looked dazed for a moment before it recovered and lunged at me. It opened its gaping maw to bite me, but I grabbed its neck. Its sharp claws raked across my arms, leaving several deep wounds. I couldn't afford to be careless; if it bit me, I would be done for. 0

Big Mouth Lee picked up another beer bottle and smashed it against the Ghost Infant's head again. I broke five or six bottles in total, leaving shards of glass scattered everywhere. Yet, the Ghost Infant seemed unfazed and only grew more aggressive. 0

"Oh no! How could I forget it's a ghost? Quick, use blood from my tongue!" Big Mouth Lee slapped his forehead. At his reminder, I finally realized what to do. I bit my tongue and sprayed the blood at the Ghost Infant. The ghost couldn't withstand this pure Yang blood; it let out a furious roar and jumped back three or four meters. The area where the blood landed burned black. 0

Tongue blood is even more Yang than Black Dog Blood, with fingertip blood being a close second. Human heart blood is considered the essence of pure Yang; it can suppress ordinary Yin Sha, and even hold back a Drought Demon. 0

Furball trembled in my backpack, strangely unnoticed by the Ghost Infant, which seemed completely oblivious to its presence. As I struggled against the relentless assault of the Ghost Infant, I paid little attention to Furball. The ghost was solely focused on me, seemingly indifferent to Big Mouth Lee. 0

The Ghost Infant roared in fury, letting out a series of wild howls as it prepared to pounce on me again. 0
