No matter what others were saying, Deng Bo and Zhu Dongdong were completely focused on their fight, with no attention left for anyone around them.
As their battle intensified, the atmosphere grew more charged, causing the spectators in the gymnasium to step back, creating more space for Deng Bo and Zhu Dongdong.
However, a few students who hadn’t managed to retreat in time were caught in the aftermath of their clash. Although they weren’t seriously injured, one student had his scalp split open, blood streaming down from the top of his head.
The injured student wore an innocent expression as he pressed a towel against his wound, complaining in a disgruntled tone, “Damn it, why am I so unlucky! I just came to watch the excitement, and now this happens!”
After grumbling for a moment, he turned and walked toward the exit of the gym, intending to head to the school infirmary for a bandage.
At that moment, Zhu Dongdong, who had been fighting Deng Bo, took a few steps back and halted his movements. He turned to look at the unfortunate student.
Noticing Zhu Dongdong's unusual behavior made me furrow my brow. When I looked up to see what was behind him, I discovered that the Wolf Demon apparition behind him had become agitated. Its eyes glowed red as it fixated on the blood dripping from the student's head.
“This is bad; the Wolf Demon has been roused by the scent of blood. Zhu Dongdong might be in trouble. It looks like I need to intervene.” A flash of insight struck me as I assessed the situation. I squeezed my way toward Zhu Dongdong while biting my fingertip and quickly drawing Taoist Talismans in my palm.
Although Zhu Dongdong appeared to be a Wolf Demon on the surface, he was actually a very special being. His father was a powerful Wolf Demon King, while his mother was an ordinary human. Thus, Zhu Dongdong existed as a half-human, half-demon entity.
From birth, he had taken on human form but inherited his father's Wolf Demon bloodline. However, this bloodline remained dormant within him until he turned twenty when his Wolf Demon Manifestation first revealed itself.
Zhu Dongdong had only recently begun to tap into his Wolf Demon Manifestation's power. Currently, he could only borrow a fraction of its strength and lacked significant control over it, which explained the chaos unfolding before us.
“Awwooo~~” Zhu Dongdong threw his head back and let out a howl that sounded eerily realistic, indistinguishable from that of a true wolf.
The people inside the gym heard Zhu Dongdong's howl and turned to look at him, their eyes filled with curiosity.
The infatuated girl from earlier gazed into Zhu Dongdong's eyes and said gently, "Wow, I didn't expect our Dongdong to learn how to howl like a wolf. It's simply amazing. Dongdong, I want to have wolf cubs with you!"
Around them, others began to discuss Zhu Dongdong, mostly out of curiosity. Some even tried to imitate his howl, attempting to produce a similar sound. Unfortunately, their attempts fell short; no matter how hard they tried, even if they managed to make their voices sound somewhat alike, they could never capture the essence of Zhu Dongdong's howl.
Deng Bo watched as Zhu Dongdong stopped and quickly retracted the stick he had been holding. He let out a long breath and looked at Zhu Dongdong with admiration, muttering to himself, "Zhu Dongdong's strength is impressive. Even I can't be sure I'd win against him. No wonder he's the top contender in the martial arts competition."
The people in the gym might not have sensed anything unusual about Zhu Dongdong, but when I heard that wolf howl escape his lips, I realized with a sinking feeling that he had completely unleashed his power.
At that moment, Zhu Dongdong was enveloped by a red demonic aura emanating from his Wolf Demon Manifestation behind him. This aura surged into his body, controlling him as he charged toward the injured student.
"Hey? What's wrong with Zhu Dongdong? Why is he coming this way?"
"Get out of the way! Get out of the way! We're going to collide!" The students saw Zhu Dongdong barreling toward them and feared being accidentally harmed. They quickly cleared a path for him.
In just five or six seconds, Zhu Dongdong reached the unfortunate college student and tackled him to the ground, causing blood to spurt from his nose.
Anger flared within the student as he flipped over and pointed at Zhu Dongdong's head, shouting loudly, "Hey, Zhu Dongdong! We don't have any grudges, do we? You broke my nose! I'm not even going to hold that against you—what do you want now? Get off me right now, or you'll regret it!"
The student felt utterly frustrated and pushed hard against Zhu Dongdong in an attempt to shove him off. Unfortunately for him, his strength was no match for Zhu Dongdong's solid frame.
"Awwooo~~" Zhu Dongdong let out a low wolf howl. His eyes transformed into those of a wolf as he lowered his head and bit down on the student's shoulder, tearing away a chunk of flesh the size of a finger in an instant.
A student let out a terrible scream as the fabric on his shoulder was instantly stained red. He punched Zhu Dongdong on the head and shouted, "Zhu Dongdong, have you lost your mind? What are you doing? Stop it right now!"
Everything happened so quickly that those around them couldn't react in time. However, upon hearing the student's scream, they finally snapped into action and rushed toward Zhu Dongdong.
"Zhu Dongdong, let go of that classmate! Let's talk this out."
"Zhu Dongdong, you better loosen your grip, or we will have to take action!"
Ninety percent of the people in the gym were from the Physical Education Department—big, burly men. They rushed to Zhu Dongdong's side and saw that he still hadn't released his hold. They reached for his arms, trying to forcibly pull him away from the student.
"Get away from me!" Zhu Dongdong howled, his words slurred. His fingertips were entwined with a dark energy that transformed into sharp claws, swiftly slashing at those around him.
Many people's clothes were torn, revealing gruesome gashes beneath. Blood immediately flowed from the wounds, staining their garments red.
The expressions of those nearby turned grave. Instead of retreating, more people gathered around. They glared at Zhu Dongdong and angrily said, "What do you think you're doing, Zhu Dongdong? Don't think you can act invincible alone! Let's all work together and tie him up!"
