Huang Ping had been a Jing Ha for over a decade, and he could instantly tell that Chen Luo was trying to deceive him. He had no idea where that group of black-robed figures came from. 0

"If you refuse, that's fine. I'll send you on your way!" Huang Ping shook his head lightly. He slowly took out three Exorcism Talismans from his pocket and placed them on the origami that sealed Chen Luo. 0

Chen Luo watched helplessly as Huang Ping made his move. He couldn't even attempt to dodge; all he could do was glare at Huang Ping with anger and shout, "What are you doing! Get those damn talismans off me!" 0

Huang Ping ignored Chen Luo's cries. After placing the Exorcism Talismans, he quickly pulled Old Wu away to a safe distance. 0

Old Wu curiously looked at the three talismans emitting white light and noticed that aside from the faint glow, they didn't seem special in any other way. Furrowing his brow, he asked, "Yellow Team, where did you get these talismans? Do they even work?" 0

"I don't know either; we'll just have to wait and see," Huang Ping replied with a slight shake of his head. In truth, he wasn't very confident because these talismans were meant for self-defense. This was also his first time using them, and he had never really understood such mystical items. 0

The reason Huang Ping chose to place the three Exorcism Talismans on Chen Luo's origami was mainly because he wanted to use the talismans to eliminate Chen Luo while also witnessing their power firsthand. 0

After a while, the white light emitted by the Exorcism Talismans grew stronger. Suddenly, the talismans ignited without fire, and three thin beams of white light shot out from them, piercing into Chen Luo's origami. 0

"Ah! No! I don't want to die yet!" Chen Luo screamed in horror as he saw three finger-sized holes being burned into the origami on the wall, with tiny sparks beginning to spread across it. 0

In less than ten seconds, the origami was reduced to ashes, and Chen Luo's spirit dissipated along with it. The only thing left behind was a black silhouette of a human shape on the wall. 0

With Chen Luo eliminated, the street returned to silence. However, Huang Ping and Old Wu were still shaken by what they had just witnessed. During the burning of the origami, they had seen a dark figure struggling within it, moving as if it were a living person. 0

Old Wu's face turned pale with fear as he swallowed hard. He glanced at Huang Ping beside him and asked nervously, "Yellow Team, do you have any more of those talismans? Can you give me a few for self-defense?" 0

Although Huang Ping felt a bit shocked inside, his expression seemed better than Old Wu's. He took out a handful of talismans from his body and stuffed them into Old Wu's hands, which numbered at least forty or fifty. With a serious tone, Huang Ping raised an eyebrow and said, "Old Wu, distribute these talismans among the Brothers. If it's not enough, come find me; I still have some left." 0

Previously, Huang Ping thought the talismans I gave him were just scraps of paper and didn't believe they were useful at all. That's why he carried all the talismans on him. Now that he had witnessed their true power, he finally took them all out, leaving only five for himself. 0

Looking at the pile of talismans in his hands, Old Wu felt an inexplicable sense of security wash over him. A smile crept onto his face as he nodded eagerly and said, "That's enough, that's enough. Yellow Team, these talismans are definitely sufficient to distribute. I'll go hand them out to the Brothers right away." 0

With that, Old Wu walked towards the street with the talismans in hand, while Huang Ping remained rooted in place. He gazed at the dark shadow on the wall not far away, his expression becoming somewhat complicated. After hesitating for two or three seconds, he glanced at the pitch-black area before finally pulling out his phone and dialing a number. 0

The number Huang Ping dialed belonged to Qingqing, who was in charge of investigating the burial site. Qingqing was a temporary leader at the scene and had a good relationship with Huang Ping. Remembering my warning from earlier that afternoon, Huang Ping was now more than half convinced of its significance, prompting him to call Qingqing. 0

"Beep beep~~" As Huang Ping heard the busy signal on his phone, his expression turned anxious as he paced back and forth. Normally, when he called Qingqing, it would take no more than ten seconds for her to pick up; however, nearly a minute had passed without her answering. 0

"Could something have happened?" Huang Ping muttered to himself anxiously. After a while, the call automatically disconnected. Frowning deeply, he redialed and muttered under his breath, "Pick up already! Damn it, hurry up and answer!" 0

This time, after about ten seconds of ringing, the call connected. He heard Qingqing's bright voice on the line: "Huang Ping, sorry! I was in the restroom just now and couldn't answer your call. I was just about to call you back when you called again. Why are you so eager to reach me? Is something wrong?" 0

Upon hearing Qingqing's voice, Huang Ping let out a long sigh of relief. He asked seriously, "Qingqing, where are you right now? Are you still in that burial forest?" 0

Knowing Huang Ping well, Qingqing sensed something was off when she heard his tone. Furrowing her brow, she replied, "We all went out to eat; no one is in the burial forest right now. What’s going on? What do you want to ask?" 0

Huang Ping felt his last bit of worry dissipate upon hearing that Qingqing and her team were not in the Burial Forest. He relaxed and calmly shared his suspicions with her. 0

Qingqing was skeptical about Huang Ping's words but agreed when he repeatedly urged her not to let anyone approach that area at night. After hanging up the phone, she couldn't help but shake her head and mutter to herself, "Isn't Huang Ping someone who doesn't believe in ghosts? Why is he acting differently today?" 0

Qingqing put his phone into his pocket and waved to his colleagues who were resting outside. He called out loudly, "Everyone, let's take another ten minutes to rest. In ten minutes, we'll head back to the scene. Let's aim to get all those bodies delivered to the city morgue tonight. Then we can call it a day." 0
