Chen Luo's soul struggled incessantly, but unfortunately, his cultivation was too low to break free from the black lines binding him. With Wu Chun standing nearby, he had no chance of escape. 0

"Don't!" Chen Luo let out a mournful scream. After holding on for just over ten seconds, he was yanked directly into the origami. 0

"Roar~~" At that moment, a strange roar emanated from within the origami. The once unremarkable fold suddenly sprouted a lifelike face that bore an exact resemblance to Chen Luo's soul. However, the eyes of that face were clouded with confusion. Despite his desperate cries, no clear sound emerged from within. 0

Wu Chun was already accustomed to the sight of the origami before her. With a blank expression, she picked it up and opened a wooden box in the corner of the shop. 0

Inside the box lay more than twenty humanoid origami figures. As Wu Chun opened the box, three of them surprisingly sprang out with a sense of vitality, attempting to escape. 0

"Hmph, get back here!" Wu Chun snorted coldly. She tossed the origami containing Chen Luo's soul into the box and quickly reached for the three escaping figures. 0

"Help! Help! Is anyone out there? Please save us!" The three origami cried out loudly. Being vengeful spirits from centuries of cultivation, they retained some awareness even while sealed within the origami by Wang Hongtao, which is why they rushed out as soon as Wu Chun opened the box. 0

"Hmph, you three ungrateful fools! My master kindly offered you new bodies, and you dare to run away and betray him? You shall all die!" Wu Chun reached for the three origami figures but only managed to grab two. One slipped through her fingers and darted toward the shop's exit. 0

"Help! Help! Someone save me!" The origami that evaded Wu Chun's grasp rejoiced at its success and hurriedly controlled itself to fly out onto the street. 0

Upon realizing her failure, Wu Chun's expression darkened as she prepared to chase after the escaping figure. Just then, Wang Hongtao suddenly waved his hand at her and said in a chilling tone, "Wu Chun, if that origami wants to leave, let it go. We are about to leave this place anyway; there's no point in keeping it here. Right now, take all the origami from the box and arrange them at the shop's entrance as I previously instructed. We need to prepare for those hired helpers coming from Jing Ha. Once we get through tonight, my Twelve Fiends Resurrection Technique will reach completion, and we will have nothing to fear." 0

"Understood, Master." Wu Chun cast a reluctant glance outside but dared not defy Wang Hongtao's orders. She turned around and picked up the wooden box from the ground, heading toward the shop's entrance. 0

Wang Hongtao withdrew his gaze and set aside the scissors he had been holding. He pulled out a brush from beneath the counter and used his fingernail to pierce his palm, allowing his blood to stain the brush red. Then he began drawing strange runes on the carefully cut origami laid out on the counter. 0

On the other side, after the origami figure flew out of the shop, it did not pause for a moment and quickly soared into the street. 0

Inside that origami was a sealed ghost named Guo Xiangfu, a Ghostly Being who had reached the Century Ghost level of Cultivation. Guo Xiangfu had eaten a problematic incense stick in Wang Hongtao's shop, which had knocked him unconscious. When he finally regained consciousness, he realized he was trapped inside the origami. However, due to his relatively weak Cultivation, he could not break free from the seal and could only control the origami to fly toward the street. 0

As Guo Xiangfu reached the exit of the street, he saw a few Figures standing not far away and immediately shouted in excitement, "Help! Someone save me! Please, come quickly!" 0

Standing at the street exit were indeed those Jing Há, but only four of them were stationed there; the others had taken this opportunity to attend to their needs for food and rest. Among the four left behind was Old Wu. 0

Upon hearing Guo Xiangfu's cries for help, Old Wu furrowed his brow and glanced curiously down the street. Unfortunately, the lighting was dim, and due to the size of the origami, Old Wu did not notice it. 0

"That's strange. I clearly heard someone calling for help. Why can't I see anyone?" Old Wu frowned and looked at his colleague beside him, asking, "Lao He, did you hear any sounds coming from inside the street?" 0

Lao He, who appeared to be in his thirties, stood at about six feet tall with a robust build. However, his face looked rather pale because he had always been afraid of ghosts. Before high school, he couldn't even sleep with the lights off. 0

Lao He had also heard Guo Xiangfu's cries for help but was too scared to look back. After hearing Old Wu's question, he wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and swallowed nervously before nodding and saying, "Old Wu, I heard that voice too. Did you not see anyone?" 0

"Since you heard it too, it must not be an illusion. Let's go inside and see if we can find that person calling for help," Old Wu said with a hint of amusement at Lao He's fear of ghosts. He grabbed Lao He's hand and headed into the street. 0

Lao He's expression changed as he pushed Old Wu's arm away and said anxiously, "Old Wu, why don't you take them both instead? I'm feeling a bit unwell; I'll stay here to guard the entrance." 0

"What are you afraid of? We're just going to take a quick look. If there's any trouble, we'll back out immediately," Old Wu disregarded Lao He's reluctance and firmly pulled him deeper into the street. With no way to escape, Lao He had no choice but to follow Old Wu inside. 0

After a while, they shone their flashlights around the area near the street exit but still found no sign of anyone. They even shouted loudly several times but received no response. 0

Lao He glanced at the dark corners surrounding the street, a chill running down his spine as he felt an unsettling presence lurking in the shadows, watching him. Terrified, he swallowed hard and nudged Old Wu beside him. "Old Wu, there's no one here. Let's get out of here first." 0

"Help me! I'm here!" At that moment, Guo Xiangfu's voice echoed through the entire street. The sudden sound sent chills down Old Wu and Lao He's spines, causing them to break into a cold sweat. The two huddled closely together, shining their flashlight in the direction of the voice. 0
