On the other side, Tian Long watched Sun Qiang's departing figure with displeasure, flipping him the bird and muttering a few curses under his breath. He addressed the viewers in his livestream, saying, "Did everyone see that? Sun Qiang is just a coward who got scared off before we even started playing. Now everyone knows that I, Tian Long, am the real brave one."
The audience in Tian Long's livestream immediately flooded the chat with "666" messages, but many others expressed concern about the person locked inside the Freezer.
Tian Long scoffed and glanced at the time, casually saying, "Don't worry, it's only been twenty seconds. The person inside won't die that quickly."
Just as Tian Long finished speaking, a sudden sound of a child's crying echoed from inside the Freezer, piercingly loud.
Li Shengwu shuddered at the thought of the child's corpse that had just vanished. He reached out and tugged at Tian Long's arm, urging him, "Tian Long, you need to open the drawer. If that child is still alive and you've locked them in the Freezer, they might really suffocate."
Realizing he had taken the joke too far, Tian Long's expression changed. He quickly crouched down and pulled open the drawer.
As Tian Long reached for the drawer, the crying abruptly stopped. A cold sweat broke out on his forehead as he exclaimed, "Please don't die in there. Flash Dance Network will be ruined if you do."
Tian Long prayed silently; many viewers were watching the situation unfold live. If that child really died inside the Freezer, there would be no way for him to escape responsibility.
The bodyguards in black nearby sensed that things were going south. They couldn't afford to ignore it any longer and rushed over to Tian Long's side.
"Tian Long, that child isn't dead, right? What are we going to do now?" Li Shengwu asked anxiously, his composure shattered as he looked at Tian Long's face.
"Li Shengwu, shut up!" Tian Long shouted back at him. His mood was already sour, and with this new crisis unfolding, he had no patience for Li Shengwu's questions.
Tian Long focused entirely on the drawer in front of him. As he pulled it open further, he finally saw the lifeless body of a three or four-year-old child lying inside.
It was a corpse, and the child's eyes were wide open, devoid of any expression. A layer of white frost covered the child's face, and the body had long since frozen stiff.
"What happened? Did I really kill someone? This is impossible! Absolutely impossible!" Upon seeing the child's body, Tian Long's first reaction was to deny it, and he began to back away, wanting to escape the Body Storage Room.
At that moment, Tian Long's livestream exploded with activity; all the viewers were convinced that Tian Long had committed murder, and worse yet, it was a child. They were the best witnesses to this horrific event. Some viewers even pulled out their phones and called the police.
"Tian Long, Li Shengwu, you two need to end the livestream now," the bodyguards in black urged after seeing the barrage of comments in the chat. Once Tian Long and Li Shengwu realized what was happening, they quickly shut down the stream, leaving a crowd of viewers staring at a darkened screen.
Tian Long looked nervously at the bodyguard who had just warned him and asked hesitantly, "What should we do now?"
The bodyguard named Zhao Zipeng furrowed his brow as he examined the child's corpse. He rubbed his temples and said calmly, "You two don't panic; let me think of a solution."
After Tian Long opened the drawer, Li Shengwu had been staring at the child's body. His face was pale, and he was frozen in fear, unable to move.
"That's the child! This is the one who disappeared earlier!" Li Shengwu's voice trembled as he recognized the child immediately. The child wore a blue shirt with a cartoon pig's head printed on it. Although Li Shengwu had only caught a glimpse earlier and couldn't recall the child's face, he was certain about that shirt.
Though Li Shengwu spoke softly, everyone around heard him. Zhao Zipeng turned to look at Li Shengwu and confidently said, "Li Shengwu, you must be mistaken. There were sounds of a child crying just moments ago; how could a dead person make those sounds?"
A glimmer of hope flashed in Tian Long's eyes as he spoke up, "What if that crying sound really did come from here? What if this is real?"
Zhao Zipeng shook his head and replied, "That's impossible; this place isn't haunted..."
Zhao Zipeng suddenly stopped halfway, his expression turning serious. He had just noticed a detail: the child in front of him was wearing an oversized shirt that clearly belonged to a boy of around twelve or thirteen years old. It shouldn't have been on him.
Up until now, Zhao Zipeng and the others had only seen the child's upper body, and no one had looked at the rest of him.
"Step aside, let me pull out the drawer and take a look," Zhao Zipeng instructed those nearby. He walked over and pulled the drawer all the way out. At that moment, the child's body was fully exposed. The blue shirt revealed that there were no pants beneath it; it was completely empty, and even the end of the shirt was hollow.
Looking at the half-exposed corpse before him, Zhao Zipeng recalled the cries he had heard earlier. His face drained of color as he stumbled back a few steps, stuttering, "This... this... is really a dead person!"
"Whoosh~~" At that moment, a cold wind blew through the Body Storage Room, sending chills down Tian Long and the others' spines. The entire room fell eerily silent, and they could even hear someone swallowing nervously.
"Wow wow~~" Just as the cold wind in the Body Storage Room ceased, the drawer in front of them suddenly closed on its own. Immediately after, a child's crying echoed from within the Freezer, sounding particularly chilling.
"Ghost! There's a ghost! Run!" Fear filled Tian Long's eyes as they dared not stay another second longer. They rushed toward the exit of the Body Storage Room in a panic.
