When our group arrived at the entrance of the ancient tomb, it was already the appointed time. Outside the tomb stood a dense crowd of people; I roughly counted at least three to four hundred. 0

Yang Xiaochao and his five families of Grave Robbers were at the forefront, with the largest number among them—over a hundred people. I glanced over and noticed Wu Jingye standing expressionlessly behind Yang Xiaochao, holding a Peach Wood Sword. 0

"How did Wu Jingye end up here?" Seeing his figure made my brow furrow in confusion. 0

Another group of Grave Robbers from out of town had gathered as well, positioned behind Yang Xiaochao's group on the second tier. They numbered around seventy or eighty, making them the second-largest team. Among them, I spotted a familiar face—Liu Yunchong—who stood in front of those Grave Robbers, likely one of their leaders. 0

"Great, Old Man Liu is here too! I'll find a chance to make you pay!" I glared at Liu Yunchong's figure, my eyes glinting with malice as I plotted my revenge. 0

The others were similar to our small group; no one dared to approach the entrance of the tomb closely. Instead, we stood scattered at the outer edges, curiously observing the two groups of Grave Robbers. The third tier consisted mainly of Taoists who could cast spells, with only a few monks and other mages present. Like me, their purpose was to fish in troubled waters. 0

"With so many people here, it seems I have no hope left!" I shook my head secretly and sighed inwardly, having lost all hope for this expedition into the tomb. 0

At that moment, Yang Xiaochao stepped forward and waved his hand, loudly declaring, "The time has come; those who should be here are all here. I, Gold-Eating Mouse, invite everyone to join forces and eliminate the filth inside the tomb. Afterward, any treasures found within will go to those capable!" 0

"If anyone tries to stab us in the back while we work together to eliminate them!" Yang Xiaochao paused deliberately and glanced at Liu Yunchong's group of Grave Robbers. Liu Yunchong scoffed disdainfully and replied, "Hmph! Gold-Eating Mouse, just take care of your own people; we can manage ourselves!" 0

Yang Xiaochao shot Liu Yunchong a glare filled with murderous intent but quickly regained his composure. He then said, "Enough with the nonsense; let's go in!" 0

With that, Yang Xiaochao turned and led his group into the entrance of the ancient tomb. Thanks to Wu Jingye leading the way at the front, their pace was swift without any slow checks for traps or hidden weapons. 0

"We're going in too!" Liu Yunchong waited until Yang Xiaochao's entire group had entered before he quickly followed with his own people. Since Liu Yunchong hadn't reached the deepest part of the tomb last time, he wasn't very clear about what lay inside. Therefore, he planned to follow closely behind Wu Jingye without rushing to seize any advantage. 0

Soon, their figures disappeared from view, and one after another, the people on the third step entered. 0

"We should go in too!" Yu Yuanhang said calmly, quickly stepping into the ancient tomb. I hurriedly grabbed Qu Liang's hand and followed closely behind him. 0

"What the hell, why are there so many skeletons here!" As I reached the entrance of the tomb, I noticed a pile of bones. After such a long time, the flesh on those bones had rotted away, emitting a strong corpse stench. The smell made my stomach churn, and I almost threw up. 0

"Qu Liang, let's hurry inside!" I urged. Although I was curious about the origins of the white bones, it was just curiosity. I held my breath, pulled Qu Liang's hand, and rushed into the tomb's passage. 0

The passage was pitch black. Qu Liang and I had come in such a hurry that we hadn't prepared any lighting equipment. Fortunately, there were many people around us holding illumination devices. With their faint light, we could barely make out our surroundings. 0

"Jiang Ling, have you noticed that there's a faint corpse qi lingering in this passage? And it gets stronger the deeper we go!" Qu Liang said with a worried frown beside me. Her skills were not very high; she could barely manage some spells and was at most a Daoist Apprentice's Tablet level mage. She could handle some demon spirits without much trouble, but now that the corpse qi was so intense, it was natural for her to feel uneasy. 0

"Don't worry, I'll protect you!" I tightened my grip on Qu Liang's hand and smiled to reassure her. In truth, I could also sense the presence of the corpse qi; although I didn't show it, I felt some fear inside. 0

After walking for several minutes, we finally exited the passage and arrived at the corpse pit. The air was thick with corpse qi emanating from this pit. 0

"The corpses in this pit have been destroyed; only a pile of skeletons remains! Who knows who the owner of this tomb was to bury so many living people!" someone exclaimed angrily after seeing the situation in the corpse pit. 0

I looked at the bodies in the pit with confusion, furrowing my brow as I muttered to myself, "Why do I feel such a heavy grievance coming from this corpse pit? It makes me want to chant the Rebirth Mantra to help them move on!" 0

I glanced at Yu Yuanhang and found him also staring into the corpse pit. It seemed he felt something similar to me. Noticing my gaze, he turned to me with a serious expression and said, "Jiang Ling, you stay here and help these undead find peace. This is an experience for you and will aid your cultivation! We'll take you with us when we return from deeper within the tomb!" 0

Upon hearing Yu Yuanhang's words, my expression instantly darkened. He wanted me to stay alone here to help the undead while they continued deeper into the tomb. Who knows what might happen if I stayed alone among all these dead bodies? With a pained face, I pleaded, "Uh, can I go check out deeper in the tomb first? I'll help these undead after we come back!" 0

"No way!" Yu Yuanhang rejected me without a second thought. In an instant, he dashed to my side, pushed hard on my shoulder, and sent me tumbling into the Corpse Pit. 0

The Corpse Pit was over four meters deep, and without any preparation, I rolled down its walls. By the time I hit the bottom, I was bruised and battered. 0

"Damn it, Yu Yuanhang! Are you trying to kill me?" I shouted as I stood up from the pit. But when I looked up at the spot where Yu Yuanhang and the others had been standing, I found they had already left, heading deeper into the ancient tomb. Even Qu Liang had been forcibly dragged away by Jin Yuan. 0

I glared at their retreating figures and thought to myself, "Damn it, Yu Yuanhang, you bald donkey! Just wait. Once I master Buddhism, I'll make you pay!" 0
