I took a deep breath, forcing down the fear that gripped my heart, and turned to look behind me. I saw a girl standing there, appearing to be around thirteen or fourteen years old. She wore a white dress and was barefoot, her face adorned with a cute smile, exuding an innocent charm. 0

"Little sister, what’s your name? How did you end up here?" As I gazed at the girl’s adorable appearance, the fear inside me inexplicably faded away. I couldn't help but reach out my hand, wanting to pat her on the head. 0

"You stinky monk, who are you calling little sister! I've been cultivating for a hundred years; I could be your grandmother! How dare you speak so casually!" Upon hearing my words, the girl's smile froze on her face, and her eyes turned fierce as she glared at me. 0

"Get your dirty hands away! With a filthy mouth and hands that can't stay still, you better go wash yourself properly!" She grabbed my arm and with a gentle flick, I was shocked to see how surprisingly strong she was. Before I could react, I was thrown straight into the river. 0

"Oh no~~" The Water Monkeys on the shore let out excited howls as they saw me plummet from the air, rushing towards where I landed. 0

I never expected to be tossed aside so easily after desperately jumping to the shore. It was truly disheartening. Just thinking about that group of Water Monkeys filled me with despair. 0

"Please no!" I screamed in terror, trying to swim back to the shore. However, as soon as my body hit the water, I felt icy hands gripping my feet. One of the Water Monkeys yanked hard, and I immediately sank underwater. No matter how much I struggled with my legs, I couldn’t escape their grasp. 0

"I'm going to die!" The air in my lungs ran out quickly, and I gulped down several mouthfuls of lake water, feeling suffocation creeping into my mind as my consciousness began to blur. 0

"Oh no~~" The Water Monkeys saw my predicament and let out a roar. Experienced in their ways, they released my legs. One of them grabbed my hair and pulled me towards the surface. 0

Just when I was about to lose consciousness, being yanked by my hair jolted me awake. The pain made tears stream down my face as I clutched at the Water Monkey's hand, cursing inwardly: "Damn it, that hurts! They're going to rip all my hair out! Am I really going to end up bald?" 0

Soon enough, my head broke through the surface of the water. I gasped for fresh air and quickly opened my mouth wide to breathe deeply. 0

"Oh no~~" The Water Monkeys surrounded me, occasionally letting out a few excited calls. They swam around me continuously, their strange eyes watching me as if I were some kind of toy. 0

The Loli on the shore let out a crisp laugh and said, "Haha, kids, throw him up here!" 0

"Oh oh~~" The group of Water Monkeys grabbed my limbs and tossed me with all their might. I felt my body lighten as I flew toward the shore. 0

"Ouch!" I landed heavily on the ground, my back hitting a protruding rock, causing me to roll in pain. 0

"Haha, stinky monk, you really are unlucky!" The Loli laughed brightly, seemingly enjoying my embarrassment. Rubbing my back, I stood up from the ground and looked at the Loli before me, making sure not to show any hint of disdain. 0

I pressed my palms together and bowed to the Loli, asking curiously, "Senior, how did you know I was a monk?" 0

I realized that ever since I appeared, the Loli had been calling me a stinky monk. I was certain I hadn't revealed my identity or used any Buddhist spells. 0

The Loli scoffed dismissively. She pointed at the Demon-Subduing Staff on the ground and waved the Buddhist Scriptures in her hand, saying, "Hmph, do you think I'm blind? You're holding a Buddhist Sect artifact, the Demon-Subduing Staff, and you have that old monk's scriptures on you. Even your aura is similar to that old monk's. If you're not a monk, then what are you!" 0

Seeing the Buddhist Scriptures in her hand made my heart skip a beat. I quickly reached for my chest only to find that the scripture I had kept close was missing. 0

"This Loli's hands are too quick! She should be a Thief; it would be such a waste otherwise!" I pouted and muttered to myself. Noticing my expression, the Loli proudly lifted her chin and tossed the Buddhist Scriptures back to me, saying, "Stinky monk, take this broken book; I don't want it!" 0

"Thank you, Senior!" I hurriedly accepted the scriptures with care. This would be my guide for cultivation from now on; I needed to treat it like a treasure. 0

"Come with me!" The Loli led me into a cave. As I scanned around, I noticed it was empty inside, with no place to sit. 0

I was puzzled about where the Loli was taking me when she formed a strange hand gesture and slapped the cave wall. A white light emanated from the wall as a virtual Dragon Shadow burst forth, wrapping around both of us and pulling us into the wall. 0

Inside the wall, there was another space that seemed endless. The environment within was beautiful, filled with lush greenery and the sounds of birds and flowers, resembling a paradise on earth. This was a place opened up by the Divine Dragon, known as the Demon Manor, which could only be created by fairies who had reached the level of Demon King. 0

Demon Kings were among the pinnacle of existence; they were powerful enough to control the elements at will, and each Demon King had a name that resonated throughout the Yin-Yang Realms. The Loli before me clearly had not reached the level of a Demon King, and I wondered how she had come to possess this Demon Manor. 0

"This Loli can't be a Descendant of the Divine Dragon, can she?" I thought as I looked at her figure, recalling the Divine Dragon apparition that had appeared earlier. I had my suspicions but wasn't sure if I was right. 0

The Loli led me to the front of an attic. She pointed at the grand hall of the attic and said, "A hundred years ago, I was born here. However, when I was just born, I encountered an accident and fell ill with a strange disease. My parents traveled far and wide to find someone who could save my life." 0

I didn't understand why the Loli suddenly decided to share this with me; I simply stood aside and listened quietly. 0

"I don't remember how many places I visited or what kind of people I met. By the time I could remember things, my parents were no longer by my side—only a monk remained with me!" At this point, a look of nostalgia appeared in her eyes. After pausing for a moment, she continued, "That monk would play with me, chant scriptures for me, and sometimes even teach me some Buddhist Sect spells. We often traveled to the human world together and sometimes ventured into the Underworld. Wherever I wanted to go, he would take me there; everything back then was so wonderful!" 0

"But eventually, time took its toll on him. He grew older and eventually passed away! I witnessed everything that happened to him!" The Loli's voice became somber as she gazed toward the attic. "That old monk died eighteen years ago. Before he passed away, he refused to return to the Buddhist Sect; he wanted to sit in meditation here in this Demon Manor to stay with me! His skeleton is in the attic; he has been waiting for a monk to inherit his wishes, and now you have finally come!" 0

After finishing her story, the Loli looked sincerely into my eyes and asked, "Stinky monk, do you wish to inherit his wishes?" 0
