Through my earlier probing, I realized that the man before me, Wu Bansian, was quite formidable; I was no match for him at all. 0

Hearing his words, I shook my head and looked at him with a hint of apprehension, replying coolly, "I don't know you!" 0

Upon hearing my response, a flicker of disappointment crossed Wu Bansian's eyes. He sighed and said, "Since you don't know, let me tell you on behalf of your master who I truly am!" 0

Wu Bansian adjusted his Daoist robe and pulled out a white jade pendant from around his neck, waving it in front of me. He stated earnestly, "Look closely; this pendant can prove my identity. In fact, I am your master's junior brother and your only Shishu!" 0

"You are my Shishu?!" I was taken aback by Wu Bansian's words, as I had never heard my master mention him. 0

I glanced at the pendant in Wu Bansian's hand and noticed that it was similar in size to the one hanging around my neck. The design on his pendant also seemed familiar. 0

"What can this pendant prove? I have a similar one!" I revealed my own pendant, which was yellow and different from the one he held. 0

Wu Bansian looked at my pendant with a glint in his eyes. He tucked away his pendant and said, "My relationship with your master is that of senior and junior brothers. Before he passed away, he entrusted these two pendants to us, hoping we would pass them down." 0

He pointed at my pendant and continued, "The one you have must be the one your master passed down to you! I saw it outside the bus station earlier but wasn't sure until now after taking a closer look." 0

Finally understanding why he had smiled at me outside the bus station, I glanced at my own pendant before putting it back inside my clothing. 0

Looking into Wu Bansian's eyes, I sensed no malice from him. Thus, I politely asked, "Senior, how can I be sure yours is genuine and not a fake?" 0

Wu Bansian sat back down in his chair and took a sip of water nonchalantly. "If you don't believe me, that's fine! However, I can tell you something: my relationship with your master wasn't very good. That's why he never mentioned my existence to you." 0

"Since he didn't want you to know me, it's better if you don't ask too much!" Wu Bansian gave me a meaningful glance before smiling. "But I believe we will meet again soon!" 0

Upon hearing Wu Bansian's words, I furrowed my brow. I thought to myself that since he had revealed his identity, why not provide proof? 0

I wanted to ask him more questions, but when I looked over again, Wu Bansian had closed his eyes and was sitting quietly in meditation. 0

"Stop pretending!" I couldn't help but snort as I looked at Wu Bansian. 0

I glanced at Wu Bansian, touched the jade pendant on my chest, and muttered to myself, "Could this old man really be my Shishu? But why haven't I heard anything from my master? No, next time I go to Spirit Ghost Street, I must ask my master for clarification!" 0

After gathering my thoughts, I sat down in the chair opposite Wu Bansian and started playing on my phone. 0

After about twenty minutes, I saw Uncle come out of the kitchen holding a bowl of chicken. He glanced at me and said, "Jiang Ling, stop playing on your phone and go get some bowls and chopsticks!" 0

I put away my phone and walked into the kitchen to grab the utensils. Once I set them up on the table, Wu Bansian opened his eyes. 0

Uncle poured a cup of rice wine for Wu Bansian and smiled, "Wu Bansian, I'm sorry for the rush; I didn't prepare anything special." 0

Looking at the table filled with dishes—chicken, duck, pork, two vegetable dishes, and a bowl of egg soup—I felt speechless. Was this not considered a good spread? 0

Seeing all that food made my mouth water. I immediately picked up my chopsticks to grab a piece of pork. Just then, Uncle caught my chopsticks and glared at me. "Jiang Ling, don't eat yet! Go find Jiang Bao and Jie!" 0

"Uncle, Jiang Bao and Lu Jie went out to play; we won't find them anytime soon. I'm really hungry; can I eat a few bites first?" I swallowed hard; I was starving. 0

Uncle looked at me and shook his head with a smile. "No way! If you're hungry, Jie must be hungry too. Hurry up and bring them back!" 0

"Fine!" I noticed that Uncle only seemed to care about Lu Jie right now. With a resigned nod, I got up from the table. Taking advantage of Uncle's distraction, I quickly grabbed a chicken leg from the dish and dashed outside. 0

"Jiang Ling! Put that down! That chicken leg is for Jie!" Uncle shouted as he realized what I'd done and immediately stood up. 0

"Hehe, this chicken leg is mine!" I laughed and waved at Uncle before taking a big bite out of the chicken leg and running out of the house. 0

Wu Bansian shook his head while watching me, a slight smile appearing on his face. "What a mischievous child!" 0

Uncle smiled apologetically and served a piece of meat to Wu Bansian, saying, "Wu Bansian, sorry for the trouble! Come on, let's continue eating and ignore that guy!" 0

After leaving the house, I headed towards Grave Hill at the back of the village. This was where Jiang Bao and the others had entered Spirit Ghost Street, so they would likely come out nearby. 0

I tossed the chicken leg bone I had in my hand onto the ground, wiped my mouth, and said, "It's been such a long time; why hasn't Jiang Bao returned? Could he still be stuck in Spirit Ghost Street?" 0

As I pondered this, I found myself at the Foot of the Tomb Mountain on Grave Hill. Looking up at Grave Hill, I noticed a figure standing atop it, though I couldn't see clearly. 0

I squinted at the figure and wondered aloud, "Is that Jiang Bao? He came out from Spirit Ghost Street; why isn't he heading home?" 0

I shouted up to Grave Hill, "Hey, Jiang Bao! Hurry down! It's time to eat!" 0

The figure turned its head slightly at the sound of my voice but then turned back without acknowledging me. 0

"Damn it, Jiang Bao! You're really something! Just wait until I get up there; I'll deal with you!" I glared at the silhouette before making my way up Grave Hill. 0

After climbing for over ten minutes, I reached the top and saw that the figure was standing in front of a shattered Wangchuan Stone. 0

Upon closer inspection, I realized that this figure was not Jiang Bao at all. Taking a few steps back instinctively, I asked, "Who are you?" 0
