Li Ming and Chen Yao led their team forward swiftly. As they approached the front lines, the sounds of cannon fire, gunshots, and the chaos of battle grew louder, deafening in their intensity. The smoke of gunpowder hung thick in the air, creating an atmosphere of oppression and tension.
Li Ming felt a surge of fighting spirit within him. He took a deep breath, gathering his Spiritual Energy. His hands rose slightly, and blue Thunderballs began to coalesce around him. Lightning flickered in the air, emitting a low rumble, as if ready to unleash devastating power at any moment.
Chen Yao formed hand seals, small whirlwinds gathering in her palms. The whirlwinds spun in her hands, radiating a powerful wave of Spiritual Energy that seemed capable of tearing apart any enemy. A determined light shone in her eyes as she prepared to counter any incoming attacks.
“Everyone be careful; we’re approaching the battlefield!” Li Ming shouted, scanning the surroundings with vigilance for any potential dangers.
The soldiers in the team wore serious expressions, gripping their weapons tightly, their eyes filled with resolve. They understood that this would be a difficult battle, but each one was filled with immense courage, ready to face the enemy head-on.
As they drew closer to the front lines, the sounds of combat intensified. The explosions of artillery and gunfire intertwined, creating a chaotic scene on the battlefield. Li Ming and Chen Yao led their team cautiously through the ruins and trenches, always prepared for sudden attacks.
Suddenly, a burst of gunfire and shouts erupted nearby. They quickly dropped down, hiding behind a pile of debris. Through a gap, Li Ming observed a squad of Demon Soldiers launching a fierce assault, attempting to breach the human defenses.
“Prepare to attack!” Li Ming whispered urgently. He then stood up and waved his hands; the blue Thunderballs shot toward the enemy, exploding in mid-air with a tremendous roar that sent the Demon Soldiers flying.
Chen Yao also sprang to her feet, forming hand seals as whirlwinds took shape in her palms. With a swift motion, she unleashed waves of wind toward the enemy, sucking them into the vortex and tearing them apart.
“Charge!” Li Ming shouted as he led the soldiers forward into fierce combat with the Demon Soldiers.
Under Li Ming and Chen Yao's leadership, the soldiers' morale soared as they launched a rapid counterattack. Every movement was filled with determination and bravery; no matter how dangerous it became ahead, they were unafraid of death and fought relentlessly for their world.
The soldiers wielded their firearms valiantly against the enemy. Gunfire erupted continuously as bullets wove through the air like a net of fire aimed at the advancing Demon Soldiers. The atmosphere on the battlefield was tense and intense; every second was fraught with danger and challenge.
Suddenly, a group of Shadowbird Beasts swooped down from the sky, their six eyes gleaming with an evil light, and their four wings flapping rapidly, producing a piercing shriek. The soldiers looked up in panic as these terrifying creatures charged toward them.
"Attack those Shadowbird Beasts!" an officer shouted, directing the soldiers to aim their guns at the sky.
Seeing this, Li Ming let out a loud roar, raising his hands high as he gathered the Spiritual Energy within him. A brilliant blue lightning bolt was summoned from above. Under his command, the thunder struck the Shadowbird Beasts with a deafening roar. The force of the lightning hit the Shadowbird Beasts, causing them to emit shrill cries as they fell to the ground.
At that moment, several Demon Wolf Cavalry riders charged in from a distance on their Demon Wolves. They swung their Great Axes wildly, their eyes gleaming with fervor as they rushed toward the soldiers.
"Concentrate fire on those Wolf Cavalry!" Li Ming commanded loudly, and the soldiers quickly adjusted their aim to focus on the Wolf Cavalry.
Bullets rained down on the Wolf Cavalry; however, these fierce enemies seemed undeterred by pain. Their bodies were pierced by bullets, blood splattering everywhere, yet they continued to charge forward madly, swinging their Great Axes and letting out wild roars.
One soldier was struck down by a Wolf Cavalry's axe, letting out a painful scream as he fell to the ground. Seeing this, the other soldiers pulled their triggers even harder in an attempt to stop these lawless foes.
The attack from the Shadowbird Beasts left Li Ming overwhelmed. He continuously summoned lightning to fend off the airborne enemies, but the situation on the ground grew increasingly perilous. Chen Yao noticed this and drew her dagger, resolutely deciding that she must quickly deal with these frenzied Wolf Cavalry; otherwise, if they broke through the soldiers' lines, reinforcements would be rendered useless.
With determination in her eyes, Chen Yao quickly stepped onto a damaged Hummer and leaped high into the air. In that instant, she locked onto five Wolf Cavalry members and silently chanted, "Feng Shun!"
Chen Yao's figure flickered in midair as she swiftly moved behind one of the Wolf Cavalry. Before he could react, he felt a cold sting followed by blood gushing from his neck as he collapsed silently to the ground. The Demon Wolf lost control and roared wildly, running amok.
However, the second Wolf Cavalry was more perceptive than Chen Yao had anticipated. Sensing something unusual behind him, he quickly turned around and swung his Great Axe at her. Chen Yao narrowly dodged to the side but felt the axe graze her shoulder, instantly staining her sleeve with blood. Gritting her teeth against the pain, she retaliated swiftly, plunging her dagger into the Wolf Cavalry's abdomen. He let out a pained roar before collapsing.
The third Wolf Cavalry saw his comrade fall and immediately became alert. Gripping his Great Axe tightly with both hands, he glared fiercely at Chen Yao before leaping toward her with force. Chen Yao quickly retreated and pushed off from the ground nimbly to evade him. Seizing the opportunity, she darted like wind to the side of the Wolf Cavalry and accurately stabbed her dagger into his heart. The Wolf Cavalry howled in agony before collapsing helplessly to the ground.
The fourth and fifth Wolf Cavalry, witnessing their comrades fall one after another, finally reacted with furious roars, attempting to counterattack. The fourth Wolf Cavalry charged forward, wildly swinging his Great Axe at Chen Yao. She quickly sidestepped, but was still intimidated by his momentum, slipping slightly and nearly falling. Suppressing her fear, she sprang up and blocked the incoming Great Axe with her dagger, her hands trembling from the immense force.
"Chen Yao, be careful!" Li Ming's voice rang out across the battlefield. Seeing Chen Yao in trouble filled him with anxiety, but he was entangled with a Shadowbird Beast and couldn't rush over to help.
Chen Yao gritted her teeth, gripping her dagger tightly as she faced off against the Wolf Cavalry. She spun swiftly, her dagger slicing through the air with a glint of cold light, finally finding an opening to stab into the Wolf Cavalry's neck. He let out one last agonizing roar before collapsing to the ground.
The fifth Wolf Cavalry, witnessing this, flashed a hint of fear in his eyes but did not retreat; instead, he charged madly at Chen Yao. He swung his Great Axe with lethal intent. Chen Yao felt the fatigue in her body but knew she could not back down. Taking a deep breath, she formed hand seals and whispered, "Feng Shun!"
Her figure flickered once more in the air, evading the Wolf Cavalry's attack and appearing behind him. The Wolf Cavalry turned in terror, but it was too late. Chen Yao's dagger swiftly slashed across his throat, blood gushing forth like a fountain as he fell helplessly to the ground.
Chen Yao landed steadily, breathing heavily; her shoulder wound throbbed painfully, yet her eyes shone with determination. She quickly scanned the battlefield to ensure no enemies were left before returning to Li Ming's side.
"Well done, Chen Yao," Li Ming praised her before refocusing on battling the Shadowbird Beast in the air.
