The Guard Cannon began to unleash its fury, far exceeding Zheng Yifan's imagination. Over twenty thousand rounds per minute were fired in a frenzied barrage. With the use of the Power of Faith, Zheng Yifan realized just how draining this weapon was; even though each individual shot consumed only a small amount, the sheer volume was staggering.
Fortunately, its attack power was impressive. Outside, it looked as if the apocalypse had arrived, with the sky turning a vivid red from the relentless hail of bullets.
The spent casings remained inside the spacecraft, destined for future collection.
This was a massacre. Previously, they would have fled at the sight of a crane to avoid annihilation, but now?
Encountering this weapon meant slaughter; it felt exhilarating.
While Zheng Yifan reveled in this chaos, there were others on the ground who were equally pleased.
Or perhaps they weren't people at all, but rather a giant bear.
This bear stood over ten meters tall, covered in wounds, especially on its face. A deep gash ran almost the entire length of its visage, and its nose was split in two. With one eye blinded, it looked as if it had emerged from a nightmare.
Yet now, this bear was enjoying a feast. The birds were particularly troublesome for it; those flying fellows either soared high above or hid among the cliffs, making them difficult to confront.
Once, its favorite treat had been honey, but now? It found itself drawn to those strange birds. For some reason, these large fowl suited its appetite perfectly.
Suddenly, it realized it had struck gold.
Or perhaps it was simply a feast that had descended upon it; the sky was filled with a crimson hue—a monstrous force with devastating power. The creatures soaring above were enormous, appearing as if they could engulf everything in their path.
Of course, that was an exaggeration. Monka's focus was entirely on those birds; in comparison, the flying monsters truly were massive.
He couldn't care less about anything else; he was busy collecting the corpses of the flying birds below, which were his delicacies that no one could take away from him.
Now he was no longer the foolish creature he used to be. In the past, when Monka went out to steal corn, he rarely had any success and often left empty-handed. But now, his intelligence had skyrocketed, and he had many more methods at his disposal, like those big birds on his phone.
He would grab their legs and run off with them in hand.
He didn't know how many he had collected; he just kept following along.
Up above, Zheng Yifan was having a great time, flying at a decent speed without slowing down. However, he was unaware that a greedy bear was trailing behind him.
After about ten minutes, they were nearing Ancheng. The big birds up top had already been cleared out, so he prepared to notify Ten Thousand Steps to descend.
After all, they couldn't land in the city; they needed to find a suitable place.
At that moment, Zheng Yifan spotted the gluttonous creature below. Monka was busy slurping down the bird he held in his hands.
To Monka, those big birds were like skewers of meat; with a single slurp, he could devour one without even chewing. A couple of bites and it was gone.
He felt like the happiest bear in the world because he could freely eat those big birds that other bears couldn't even touch.
But just then, a creature crawled out from that strange monster above. Or perhaps it was a human; he already knew what it was.
He had never eaten a human before. To him, they didn't taste particularly special or good. Instead, he preferred those Zombies—creatures that were once human.
He didn't know why, but he just liked it. Now, facing that Fellow, all he felt was terror.
It was a power stronger than his own.
He wasn't sure how strong he was, but having come this far, his abilities had improved significantly. The scar on his face was a result of an encounter with a Fifth Level mantis. That creature was truly terrifying; it wasn't very large, but it was incredibly fast and had fierce attack power. If it weren't for his tough skin and resilience, he would have been dead long ago.
Now, facing the Fellow before him, he didn't dare to attack. He didn't even have the courage to look up. As soon as he saw that Fellow, he immediately lowered his head and buried it in the dirt.
This way, the Fellow wouldn't be able to see him.
Zheng Yifan couldn't help but laugh. This bear was too cute; it had learned to act like a kangaroo, burying its head in the ground as if to say it couldn't be seen. Looking at its massive size and Fifth Level strength, he was also quite surprised. He rarely saw beasts of such high levels. Most wild animals stayed deep in the mountains, so this giant bear was truly unexpected.
"Come out! I know you can understand me," Zheng Yifan shouted as he slowly descended, afraid that the bear wouldn't hear him.
Monka wiggled its big bottom and continued to pretend not to hear. However, the claws in its hands had already tossed several large birds right in front of Zheng Yifan.
It seemed like Monka wanted to bribe him.
These were its most precious possessions. If Zheng Yifan wasn't satisfied with them, Monka really wouldn't know what else to do.
Zheng Yifan felt utterly helpless; this Fellow was trying to bribe him with these birds. All of them were creatures he had shot down himself using the Guard Cannon combined with his Power of Faith. The lethality was incredibly strong; most of the cranes in Zheng Yifan's hands had been pierced through their bodies, with many dying from having their heads shot off.
Even though Zheng Yifan played with the Guard Cannon, he wasn't one to waste resources. He was confident in his aim and, moreover, treated it like a game—of course, he wanted to challenge himself with higher difficulty.
This was quite a bargain for the foolish bear.
"Stop pretending. You can keep those things for yourself. Come out quickly, or I'll cut off your claws and roast them," Zheng Yifan threatened loudly.
It was truly ineffective; the fellow simply jabbed both claws into the ground with all its might, followed by its feet sinking in as well.
It looked just like a hillside.
Zheng Yifan found it amusing and took out his Adamantium Shield, lightly tapping it against the bear's leg.
"Ah, this leg looks really plump. It would taste delicious when roasted later," Zheng Yifan's actions completely made the giant bear stop acting like a timid turtle.
"Roar!" With a loud roar, the giant bear pulled its head out and let out a furious bellow at Zheng Yifan.
The roar shook the surroundings. Just as Zheng Yifan was momentarily stunned, the fellow suddenly turned around and began to run backward, panting heavily.
"If you run away, I'll take you down. Come over here obediently, and I promise not to kill you!" Zheng Yifan's voice turned cold.
In the next moment, he saw the giant bear obediently lying in front of him, its long tongue hanging out like a dog. (To be continued...)
