In the real world, there are many things happening, and it is quite busy. However, Zheng Yifan always feels the need to check in on the Apocalyptic World.
That place is where his influence is the strongest. Although many people have joined the Hope Group in the real world, they do so for their own interests rather than out of genuine commitment to the group.
At least Zheng Yifan has not gained much Power of Faith yet; only those who initially joined the Hope Group truly believed in him.
Upon entering the Apocalyptic World, Zheng Yifan immediately sensed a tense atmosphere, as if the entire realm was on the brink of war.
Were the Sea Beasts causing trouble again, or had an unstoppable wave of Zombies appeared?
Such occurrences were far too common. The Superpowered Individuals in the Apocalyptic World were also beginning to face the era of the Third Stage and Fourth Stage, with the Strong Ones already advancing into Fifth Level strength.
Zheng Yifan needed to enhance his own abilities. He could not yet see the power of the Seventh Level, but a persistent voice in his mind reminded him that to upgrade to Seventh Level, he must try his luck at the Vitality Tower.
He decided that after finding the Primordial Pearl, he would definitely pay a visit there. For now, however, he felt quite pleased; after all, people in the Apocalyptic World had begun to establish their own fixed strongholds. They could also utilize Firearms more effectively, indicating that the issue with Zombie numbers was starting to be resolved.
The most troublesome foes were not Advanced Zombies but rather these Low-Level Zombies. Dealing with them had been quite frustrating in the past. Now, things had changed significantly.
Even high-level Zombies originated from low-level ones; as long as they continued to be exterminated, eventually some Advanced Zombies would lose their breeding sources.
There was still hope for humanity. However, the main priority now was to find out what had happened at the Gathering Place; something felt clearly off. Although everyone was present, they seemed very serious and spoke much less than usual.
Yet when Zheng Yifan reached the street and observed life at Hope Gathering Place, it appeared much like before—perhaps even with a slower pace of life.
This situation was entirely different from what he had imagined.
It seemed unlikely that they had encountered Sea Beasts or Zombies; otherwise, everyone would be on high alert.
“Hey! What exactly has happened at the Gathering Place?” Zheng Yifan dialed a number to contact the secretary at Hope Gathering Place.
He no longer remembered what his secretary was called. Most of the time, he was out fighting, and the role of a secretary was truly minimal.
Moreover, the Apocalyptic World had not arranged for a truly exceptional Supercomputer. He understood that other Supercomputers in the Apocalyptic World still existed; relying entirely on computers would be tantamount to seeking death.
The real world was different! There, his Supercomputer could reign supreme.
"Is this the leader?" The girl on the other end of the line sounded visibly excited. Hearing about Zheng Yifan's business was like hearing the voice of God; it left her almost speechless.
However, Zheng Yifan liked it. His image at the Hope Gathering Place was quite impressive; he was the leader of the Gathering Place, the greatest hero. All the Survivors worshipped him, bringing in a substantial amount of Power of Faith. Unlike in the real world, where people had never encountered Zheng Yifan's rampage because they simply couldn't; there weren't any formidable Zombies there. For Zheng Yifan, dealing with ordinary Zombies felt like using a cannon to swat a mosquito.
He preferred to relax in the real world, treating it like entertainment, which made him happier and helped him unwind from his tense state of mind.
As it turned out, this period had been quite successful. Zheng Yifan's body had already recovered to its optimal state and was ready for battle at any moment.
"Leader, we have encountered problems at the Gathering Place. There is a massive force in Ancheng that seems to have been arranged by you previously, but now we realize those people are incredibly powerful." The girl struggled to articulate her words.
For over half an hour, she continuously explained everything they had encountered.
Zheng Yifan listened slowly, understanding exactly why this was happening; it was still due to his arrangements in Ancheng.
When he left Ancheng, he had left behind a force. It was that girl he had saved; by the time he departed, she had already become a Superpowered Individual. In fact, it was also because Zheng Yifan wanted her to recover her strength.
But now, they had developed too powerfully—over 1.7 million people. Moreover, all of them had become fanatics. In their hearts, Zheng Yifan was a god, representing divine power and bestowing them with strength. During battles, they prayed fervently for powerful abilities.
Zheng Yifan felt speechless. He even learned that there was a Bible circulating there, documenting God's omnipotence and recording everything that could happen over the next hundred thousand years.
That was the gift of the Saint Lord—the ultimate mystery of the universe.
He really wanted to ask when he had written such a book and how it became the ultimate mystery of the universe as his gift.
He knew he had left behind such a charlatan of a girl but never expected her development to grow so vast.
However, Zheng Yifan now had a feeling deep within him.
This girl and his Superpower were likely complementary; the most powerful aspect of his Avatar of the Believers was her Avatar of the Believers.
Zheng Yifan had never used it and could not use it, as if it were frozen. It appeared to be an incredibly formidable Avatar of the Believers.
But now he recalled that it was very likely that the Avatar of the Believers resonated with the girl, and their Superpowers overlapped, creating a unique application of Superpower energy.
That girl certainly had a charismatic aura; perhaps he could establish a religion around her, allowing ordinary Survivors and those on the brink of madness to join in, which might help them return to a normal life.
Faith can sometimes be incredibly useful. It can help those who are lost or helpless find that last bit of strength to persevere. Many things can be overcome if one can just hold on a little longer. The difference lies in whether one can endure that final moment.
With faith, it might be easier to persist.
Zheng Yifan believed this wholeheartedly. What surprised him most about her followers was that they were all Superpowered Individuals—over 1.7 million Superpowered Individuals—who possessed nearly identical Superpowers. They could all wield a power known as Holy Light.
Zheng Yifan was truly at a loss here; this power was said to be bestowed upon them by their Holy Lord.
The key point was that Zheng Yifan did not know how to use this ability! (To be continued.)
