That was just a joke. Zheng Yifan was boldly hanging behind the Zombie on the street, gradually closing in on their bodies, with his Adamantium Shield and Silver Spear ready to strike at any moment.
His eyes never left those damned Zombies.
He had to eliminate these grotesque creatures. If he returned here next time, it would be serious; his subordinates were no match for these mantis-like beings.
The battle began, filled with murderous intent, ready to strike at any moment.
The speed was astonishing. Although it wasn't as terrifying when not attacking, it was still nearly as fast as the speed of sound. In the blink of an eye, he had reached the seaside, where the fight was about to commence.
The seaside was Zheng Yifan's ultimate destination. He wanted to see the ocean and check for the rumored Vitality Tower. However, now he no longer held such hopes; he had already discovered how to enter the Vitality Tower—he just needed to find its location.
What troubled Zheng Yifan the most was that Chiyou, his old buddy, was inside the Vitality Tower along with his massive army. Zheng Yifan could not defeat them and could only try to remain steady, building up some formidable combat strength before confronting them head-on.
The sound of waves gradually filled his ears as the ground became damp. No one knew that this beach was crazily accumulating seawater; the ocean seemed to grow turbulent, gradually crashing toward the city.
Correspondingly, there were also those Sea Beasts here.
Zheng Yifan had never seen a Sea Beast before; he had only encountered Zombies trapped in water. But now, he found himself staring at a lobster.
This lobster was enormous, larger than a skyscraper, standing far out in the sea with its two claws constantly opening and closing.
Its power was overwhelming and formidable.
The combat strength was incredibly fierce, surpassing any level of lethality that Zheng Yifan could accept. He had initially been unaware of this lobster's terrifying destructive capability.
But under the potential grip of the lobster, in just a second, the sea was even split in half. Countless Zombies perished at its hands. With just one attack, it was already capable of completely defeating the Zombies.
Zheng Yifan had no idea what kind of Zombie could contend with such a massive Sea Beast, nor did he know how many equally formidable Sea Beasts lurked in the ocean.
However, Zheng Yifan had clearly observed the combat strength of the Zombies. Although they had completely transformed into Zombies, their fighting power remained fierce, and their lethality was unparalleled. Most importantly, Zheng Yifan could sense that a large group of Zombies was charging toward the front lines.
The Zombies were determined to fight. Zheng Yifan instinctively knew the answer.
The powerful Zombies could disregard the lobster that Zheng Yifan was concerned about, as hundreds of them charged forward recklessly.
In Zheng Yifan's view, he could see a multitude of Ordinary Zombies, along with Fourth Level Zombies engaged in battle against the giant lobster, swiftly advancing, followed closely by Two-Headed Mantis Zombies.
During the fight, they relied entirely on the ordinary Zombies to charge ahead. The most crucial factor was that the Mantis Zombies behind them possessed sufficient combat strength.
In just a short time, they would eliminate those ordinary Sea Beasts.
Yet Zheng Yifan knew that those ordinary Zombies could not take down the giant lobster; only the Two-Headed Mantis Zombies could accomplish that task.
Zheng Yifan watched eagerly as everything unfolded.
The battle had completely astonished Zheng Yifan.
This place was far from an ordinary city in terms of Zombie numbers. It seemed likely that many surrounding cities' Zombies had been attracted here and even accepted into their ranks.
They fought like madmen against the Sea Beasts.
Zheng Yifan did not understand why they were doing this, but he knew he only needed to quietly observe the battle between the Zombies and Sea Beasts before he would soon discover the reason behind it all.
In front of the massive lobster, the Zombies continued their relentless assault. They began to disperse, and it was evident that all the Zombies were evolving to resemble aquatic creatures. They moved swiftly through the water, possessing formidable attacking power as they used their hands to strike at the nearby Sea Beast.
Several ordinary fish were overwhelmed by the Zombies, and then the Zombies' large mouths began to tear into the Sea Beast with wild abandon.
They seemed to truly relish the battle with the Sea Beast, enjoying the sensation of devouring it.
It was clear that upon encountering the Sea Beast, the Zombies exhibited a near-complete loss of rationality, driven solely by the desire to rip apart the Sea Beast and feast upon its flesh.
Only those Zombies with explicit commands showed any disregard for ordinary Sea Beasts; their targets were the more powerful Sea Beasts.
Just like that massive lobster.
Thousands of fierce Zombies charged toward the giant lobster. At a glance, it appeared to be the strongest, making it the primary target for the Zombies.
The first to approach the lobster were a group of Low-Level Zombies. They lacked strong attacking power, but their ordinary lethality was sufficient to entangle the Sea Beast.
Meanwhile, the Two-Headed Mantis Zombie seemed to vanish like a shadow, slowly disappearing from sight.
Zheng Yifan knew they had burrowed into the seabed, possibly even into the sand beneath it.
Zombies did not need to breathe; they could roam freely in the ocean.
However, in reality, the Sea Beasts would not grant them such an opportunity.
To them, Sea Beasts were a delicacy; in the eyes of the Sea Beasts, were they not also a treat?
This was a war without resolution, destined from the start for one side to be completely annihilated.
As the Lobster saw so many Zombies rushing towards it, its two large claws danced wildly, stirring up countless waves in the sea.
The area around it seemed to transform into a whirlpool, while the giant Lobster continuously sucked in the green corpse fluid from the water. With each Zombie it eliminated, it absorbed a portion of their essence.
It gave no chance for other Sea Beasts to take advantage of the chaos.
Any Sea Beast that approached would be attacked without distinction between friend and foe.
However, the Sea Beasts seemed to recognize its strength, as none dared to come close to the giant Lobster.
Everything appeared to culminate in a victory for the Lobster. Yet, Zheng Yifan knew that the battle was only becoming more thrilling.
Just as the Lobster absorbed enough Zombie Fluid once again, two figures suddenly emerged from underground. They were Two-Headed Mantis Zombies, and Zheng Yifan vividly remembered their attacking power.
The ferocious strikes were something Zheng Yifan could never withstand with his body. But this Lobster seemed incredibly formidable, with an exceptionally tough body; surely it could hold its ground?
Unfortunately, Zheng Yifan was mistaken. In an instant, the Two-Headed Mantis Zombies leaped to either side of the Lobster's body, launching countless Bone Knife attacks at the same spot.
That spot was the joints of the Lobster! (To be continued.)
