The battle had never been so exhilarating. Plank and his team unleashed all their strength to take down the Zombies, but in the dark corners, a different kind of Zombie was lurking. 0

If Zheng Yifan had seen it, he would have been astonished to discover that this Fellow was actually a Second-Level Zombie, something nearly impossible on Earth due to the insufficient concentration of Vital Energy and various indicators that did not meet the threshold for the birth of a Second-Level Zombie. 0

Yet, the existence of such a creature must have its reasoning. 0

Zheng Yifan did not see these Zombies because he was waiting for news of the cleanup at Hedland Port, enjoying a rare vacation with his family right there on the Aircraft Carrier, basking in the sun and sipping fine wine. 0

Meanwhile, Plank and his team found themselves in the most terrifying danger. As they slaughtered the Zombies with their weapons, suddenly a Black Shadow darted out ahead, moving so fast that it was almost invisible to the human eye. But everyone knew it was a Zombie. 0

Black Bear hesitated not at all; he raised his gun and pulled the trigger at that shadow, unleashing a torrent of flames from the Muzzle. 0

In mid-air, it devoured any creature that posed a threat to them. However, they were unaware that the Second-Level Zombie before them was significantly more formidable. Even as bullets tore through its body, it managed to retreat using its speed, leaving drops of green Zombie Fluid on the ground as it vanished from their sight. 0

Sweat broke out on Plank and his team's brows as they braced themselves, aiming their weapons at any potential threats. 0

Even the stunt driver among them was no exception. He held a Remington 870 shotgun, a classic firearm. Since his role was primarily supportive fire while clearing nearby Zombies, this weapon was sufficient. His right hand controlled the vehicle while his left held the Remington 870 resting on his right arm, ready to fire at any moment. 0

The shotgun's powerful Muzzle energy allowed him to easily take down any creature leaning against the window; he would pull the trigger at even a second's hesitation. 0

They had prepared for this long ago. 0

The glass around them was Bulletproof Glass; however, it was specially designed with shooting ports that were not bulletproof. His gun was aimed precisely at one of those openings. 0

It seemed that only Plank did not care about this strange Zombie because he faced thousands of them—Zombies that had appeared with the first explosion of Vital Energy. They were faster and more resilient; even bullets passing through their bodies would not kill them. Only by shattering them into pieces or shooting through their skulls could they truly die. 0

Plank continued attacking these Zombies, his Machine Gun firing almost continuously. He never imagined he could experience such an exhilarating shooting spree. 0

The bullets around him were dwindling. The number of Zombies began to decrease as well. Yet no one let their guard down because that peculiar Zombie had yet to appear. The tens of thousands of Zombies they had slaughtered might pose less danger than this one’s immense lethality since other Zombies could not catch up to the Hummer. But this one could. 0

Plank ordered the vehicle to slow down; since they could be pursued, it would be better to let some Zombies in and then shoot them. After all, everyone else was waiting for that special Zombie to show itself. 0

Only Plank continued to shoot at the ordinary Zombies as usual. 0

After about twenty minutes, the bullets on Plank's vehicle were running low. The others began to relax; after a prolonged period of tension, it was only natural for people to reach their breaking point. 0

They were now on the edge of collapse. Black Bear's face was already drenched in sweat. As they turned a corner, he instinctively wiped his brow. 0

The sweat nearly obscured his vision, and the unconscious act of wiping his forehead brought the greatest threat to his life. 0

In that fleeting moment, a Zombie suddenly appeared in mid-air, moving with astonishing speed, leaving him with almost no chance to evade. He could only tighten his grip on the trigger of his Submachine Gun. 0

Bullets sprayed into the air but failed to hit the Zombie. 0

At that critical moment, someone next to him moved—it was Plank. Old Buddy noticed the approaching Zombie and abandoned his Machine Gun. His right hand instinctively swept across his waist, and then a Nepalese Kukri flew from his side, striking the Zombie's neck. The Second-Level Zombie let out a howl and recoiled violently, launching itself several meters away in an attempt to escape. 0

A few people had already reacted; all guns were aimed at it, including Plank's Machine Gun. 0

The bullets rained down like a torrential storm, blanketing the ground in white. It was as if all the bullets had devoured the Zombies, turning them into spring snow under the blazing sun, quickly vanishing from sight. 0

They truly disappeared; the ground had been swept clean of any trace of Zombies. Only a shining Zombie Crystal remained, signaling that the Second-Level Zombie had once existed. 0

This incident nearly cost Black Bear his life. He felt a surge of fear; if it weren't for Plank's flying knife, he might never have seen the sun again. 0

It was truly terrifying. 0

So terrifying that it left him shaken to his core. His legs still felt weak, making it impossible for him to stand upright. 0

"Everyone needs training; next time you'll be as unflappable as I am," Plank said without much elaboration, but others always sensed that this Old Buddy was extraordinary. 0

After the battle, there were indeed no more Zombies on the streets. The fight lasted three hours; they gathered Supplies every two hours before returning to slaughter again. The entire town had been swept multiple times before they confirmed that there were truly no Zombies left on the streets and finally ceased their efforts. 0

Because their mission had been completed, the remaining matters required professional knowledge to resolve, and they were no longer able to handle it themselves, as they did not dare to rush into the residences to eliminate the Zombies inside. 0

Survivors had begun to appear slowly, gathering in the streets, hesitant and fearful. A few individuals had broken down the doors of supermarkets and shops, searching for food inside. 0

They had been hungry for two days. 0

Plank and his companions paid no attention to these people. 0

"Hey! Are you the reinforcements sent by the government?" Suddenly, a seven or eight-year-old child, sucking on his finger, asked earnestly. 0

Plank and the others hesitated; they were not. The government? Did that even exist anymore? 0

After struggling for half a moment, they finally gritted their teeth and said, "No! We are not from the government; we belong to the Hope Group. It was the Hope Group that saved you. Our name is Australia, and you will belong to the Hope Group from now on." 0

Plank's words seemed to burst forth from his lungs, strong and powerful. 0

"Hope Group? Are they stronger than the government? Are they stronger than Americans?" In the child's mind, America, known for producing superheroes, was the strongest country in the world. 0

Plank nodded. "Yes! We are the strongest!" (To be continued...) 0
