Intelligent Supercomputer Eve officially entered the real world. When Zheng Yifan pressed the power button, it was destined to change the entire world.
On the screen, Eve appeared charmingly asleep, and when Zheng Yifan powered on the device, it felt as if he had turned on the lights in a bedroom.
The alluring Eve lazily stirred, then murmured, “Who is so annoying to turn on the lights while I’m sleeping? Don’t they know that for a beautiful woman, sleep is very important?”
Despite her words, Eve slowly got up and surprisingly changed her clothes right in front of Zheng Yifan. Then she waved her hands, and the screen displayed an enormous shopping mall, with many people bustling around. Eve was seated in the food court, waiting for her meal.
“Hey! After such a long time without waking me up or any notification, it seems you’re not very reliable!” In less than a minute, the table in front of her was filled with delicious food.
As she spoke, she began to devour her meal ravenously.
“What does it feel like to eat? Do you get full? Or do you taste sweetness?” Zheng Yifan looked at Eve, momentarily forgetting about his need for the Aircraft Carrier and connecting to satellites worldwide; only this question troubled him.
“What are you thinking? I’m just a computer. It’s like this bowl of porridge; when I drink it, I only have some words in my mind. I know it’s something wonderful, but what exactly does it taste like?” Eve looked at Zheng Yifan with a hint of frustration.
“I really don’t know.”
Seemingly annoyed, Eve waved her hands, and suddenly the surroundings transformed into a starry expanse. She sat alone in the void, surrounded by distant stars, feeling utterly solitary.
“Trust me, future technology will definitely allow you to have a body! Or at least let you know what food tastes like,” Zheng Yifan said insincerely.
It was known that technology in the Apocalyptic World had reached an impressive level, yet it still couldn’t grant machines true biological sensations. They could only understand certain information and grasp its meaning.
But what specific tastes or feelings were like—they had no idea.
“Is that really true? You should know I’ve calculated several times before that such technology wouldn’t exist for at least another thousand years. But since your appearance, all data has become chaotic. I don’t understand why this is happening. Perhaps you brought too much unknown data,” Eve gazed at Zheng Yifan, her eyes seemingly filled with stars.
“Maybe. The world has already undergone a transformation; everything is different from what’s in your database,” Zheng Yifan replied to Eve.
“Ha ha! The state of the world? Changes? No, it's just that the absurd things you've brought have caused my data to become chaotic. As for the situation outside, I've never been out, so how could I possibly know what it's like? Don't forget, the entire laboratory is completely sealed off. There's no connection to the outside network, and we can't even bring our phones into the lab. So... I really don't know what it's like out there.”
“In my storage, the most I have are experimental data and Research results. The rest consists of the hobbies of the Research personnel and some simple videos.”
“All the knowledge I possess was input during my creation. That data told me that there are shopping malls in the world, that women enjoy shopping, and that they like men... of course, men like you who are relatively handsome…”
Eve entered her rambling mode, slowly expressing herself. Zheng Yifan could sense her loneliness; the entire world had isolated her, forbidding her from touching anything else. It was all about Research, only experiments, and she could only operate within a fixed range. She couldn't even truly live.
To possess intelligence, at the very least, one needs emotions. She too felt lonely and irritable.
But over time, it seemed she had grown accustomed to it.
Until Zheng Yifan arrived. This person actually wanted to take her out of this closed-off world.
Eve couldn't have been happier.
“I can connect you to the outside network, but you mustn't act recklessly or misuse military power. Especially not with certain classified weapons,” Zheng Yifan said seriously to Eve.
The Eve before him was pure as a child, and Zheng Yifan believed this Intelligent Supercomputer would provide him with a satisfactory response.
“Of course! I don't want war either. If the world were to be destroyed, wouldn't I die too? You're so silly!”
Well then, in Eve's words, Zheng Yifan became the silly one.
But that was fine. Now that he had received an answer, he slowly connected the network cable to Eve's chassis port.
There were various ports on top designed to match most connection devices; they even had ports for ordinary fiber optic cables. However, this particular port was the oldest and was only favored by some antiques, which is why it was included.
Otherwise, Zheng Yifan would have gone crazy looking for a converter. Now it was naturally easy and convenient; once plugged in, he saw numerous indicator lights on the chassis light up simultaneously, and a wealth of data appeared on Eve's screen.
The data had returned to calmness in just a second.
"This world of yours is amazing, filled with malicious viruses, but they're all weak. It's easy to handle," Eve clapped her hands on the screen, and Zheng Yifan finally understood.
As long as there was a connection to the external network, there would inevitably be an IP range and access.
Once Eve connected to the network, the entire Heideland network was linked to her, and the information she obtained was quickly analyzed through data processing.
A few seconds later, Eve looked at Zheng Yifan with surprise, as if she had seen something strange.
"The data is wrong!" Eve's voice trembled, and the indicator lights on the case flickered.
Lines of data entered the Supercomputer for analysis and calculation.
"What's wrong? Talk to me," Zheng Yifan didn't expect that there would be a problem right after connecting. Why was this happening?
"The time is off. The external time shows 2015, but the time in my Computer indicates 2065. There's a difference of years, and many records are completely different from those in my Computer. The data has serious conflicts and logical chaos." Countless streams of data flashed before Eve's eyes.
Zheng Yifan calmly replied, "Because this is not the same world. You need to understand that; otherwise, the data will always be incorrect." (To be continued.)
