Chapter 113: Moving Forward 0

"Don't be afraid. You all continue to search for food. I have things to do. I'll clear out the nearby Zombies outside. You should be safe here from this disaster," Zheng Yifan reassured the two children before slowly rushing outside. 0

With a crash, he shattered the window and soared into the air, gliding like a great bird as he searched for the Zombies below. The Avatar of the Believers was no longer effective; those Zombies had already reached Fourth Stage and could easily dispatch the Avatar. 0

Compared to the hundreds of millions of Zombies, the number of Advanced Zombies seemed relatively small. 0

However, Zheng Yifan knew this was one of the few Metropolises in the world, where the population was extraordinarily high, reaching an almost bizarre level. 0

Even if he encountered Seventh Level Zombies, Zheng Yifan had no doubts. He firmly believed that obtaining another Primordial Pearl would not be easy. 0

He still had a fight ahead of him. 0

Drops of Zombie Fluid dripped from his Adamantium Shield onto the ground, seeping into the earth and transforming into an unseen power. 0

Ahead lay Zheng Yifan's battle target, where he hoped to find the Primordial Pearl he sought. 0

He had lost count of how many Zombies he had killed. The Zombie Crystal s from Fourth-Stage Zombies were highly sought after. Each one was worth many First Level Zombie Crystal s, and by now, Zheng Yifan had accumulated quite a few. He just needed to return to the Gathering Place to exchange them for technology. 0

The battle was becoming increasingly urgent, and a strong calling stirred Zheng Yifan's emotions. His heart longed for that Primordial Pearl ahead; with just one more, he would have gathered all three Primordial Pearls. 0

What kind of changes would occur? Zheng Yifan did not know; he only understood that he must obtain it. If he failed to get the Primordial Pearl, he would lose his chance and direction to move forward. 0

How exactly does one advance to Sixth Tier? The Zombies seemed to have no obstacles, and it appeared that the Chiyou Tribe had already grasped the secret. Yet Hope Gathering Place did not have it. Humanity did not possess it, and even within the Time-Space Barrier, there were no answers for Zheng Yifan. 0

"Roar!" The Zombies suddenly began to stir, and the Advanced Zombies started to gather as well. Their power was so immense that other Mutated Zombies and Intelligent Zombies were also summoning their kin. 0

They sensed a threat; in the very center of the city, humans had invaded, which was unforgivable. 0

However, most of their main force of Zombies was positioned by the sea, preparing for the monthly battle. The beasts from the ocean would soon encroach, and all Zombies had to be on high alert. This was also why Zheng Yifan could move freely; under normal circumstances, the Intelligent Zombies would coordinate with the Mutated Zombies, supported by a large number of Advanced Zombies as cannon fodder against Zheng Yifan. Even if there were ten of them, they would still be finished off. It was only during this moment of weakness in Zombie power that the current situation arose. 0

The Zombie forces in Deep City and Inner City were weak. They could collapse at any moment, and the number of newly born Zombies was not significant. However, they never worried because there were plenty of formidable Zombies guarding their most precious possession: a single Crystal. 0

Yet they were completely unable to control the power of this object. Everything required an opportunity; the Primordial Pearl could not leave its birthplace. It would only depart when its true master arrived. 0

Zombies would not allow anyone to take away their most valuable treasures. So they continued to guard it fiercely. 0

The strongest Zombies were also prepared to protect that treasure. 0

Zheng Yifan stood outside the massive stadium, his senses heightened to their limits. Inside the stadium lay what he desired. He felt an urgent need to acquire those things. 0

However, the most important thing was to obtain them and escape safely. That was paramount; everything else could be sacrificed. 0

Silently advancing forward, he found that the surrounding Zombies had been completely cleared out. A thick layer of dust covered the ground, and only remnants of post-apocalyptic madness remained—garbage strewn across the entrance. Zombies did not clean up trash; they only created it. 0

He slowly adjusted the angle of his Adamantium Shield, lowering his body to its limits. Ahead lay the most dangerous area, leaving no room for hesitation; he had to succeed in one go and absolutely could not waste this opportunity. 0

The number of Zombies had dwindled to a minimum; what remained were elite ones. As he moved forward cautiously, he began to see some strange figures among the Zombies—all capable of fighting in the sea. Their bodies were tinged with blue, adorned with fish fins and scythe-like claws. These were no longer mere claws; their weapons were longer and more slender, lacking the robust strength they once had. In underwater combat, Zombies needed greater speed. 0

Their evolution had shifted towards speed and strangulation power. In underwater combat, one had to break through the currents to inflict the most devastating damage. Techniques like the Jet Venom were rendered completely useless; in the water, only the most basic physical attacks were effective. 0

As a result, the Zombies' attack mode had become purely aggressive, but their lethality had increased significantly. 0

Zheng Yifan stood ready, focusing all his energy on the two Zombies in front of him, which were blocking his path. 0

Before him was a ticket checkpoint, and there were no other entrances around. If he attempted to enter from above, Zheng Yifan knew he would meet a gruesome fate; that area was the main defense point for the Zombies, and anyone daring to intrude would vanish without a trace. 0

Zheng Yifan dared not take that risk. The only option he could think of was to enter through the front door. If he tried to come in from above or any direct entrance, he would inevitably face a horde of Zombies. 0

His current goal was no longer to charge in but to lurk quietly, sneaking in to steal. 0

Everything was complicated by the ferocity of the two Zombies before him. 0

In just a moment, they moved like a flash, covering several dozen meters in an instant. Their hands resembled scythes, creating a strong sense of vibration as they sliced past Zheng Yifan's sides. (To be continued...) 0
