Bursting into the Fishman Bar, Zheng Yifan was immediately intercepted. Who was this person? He had jumped out of the car and rushed in, clearly not here to enjoy a drink.
This place was run by Members, and the regular customers were all familiar faces. Where did this Fellow come from? He charged in recklessly, heading straight for the Luxury VIP Suite in the back. If he were allowed to enter, the security staff might as well find another job.
The entire Fishman Bar erupted with a show of force. Many of them were armed, and no one could guarantee what kind of troublemaker had come to disrupt their peace. Even the entrance was not something just anyone could pass through. However, Zheng Yifan's Jaguar KR served as a key that intimidated the guards into letting him through.
But once inside, he had reached his limit. Although management wasn't overly strict, the show of force was undeniable. This bar was under Zhao Siye's watch, and any provocation would not be tolerated.
Unfortunately for Zheng Yifan, these people felt like mere chickens to him; even a police baton could be easily deflected.
Above him, he could see the elegant corridor and charming women posing enticingly, trying to lure in customers.
Anyone who could afford to spend money here was no ordinary person; ensnaring just one could mean a lifetime of comfort.
Yet, they welcomed none more than someone like Zheng Yifan because he was purely here to cause trouble. The floor was already slick with blood.
This was merely a result of Zheng Yifan showing restraint; otherwise, even two more reinforcement teams wouldn't suffice against him.
In his fury, the Time-Space Barrier emitted more and more Vital Energy, and his connection to Huang Mengni became increasingly pronounced. This was the peak of Huang Mengni's struggle; her longing felt more intense than ever.
It was like grasping at the last straw before drowning—holding on tightly.
That overwhelming sense of hope sent a shiver through Zheng Yifan, prompting him to rush forward.
Ahead, a dozen security guards in black uniforms charged out with tranquilizer guns in hand. These were military-grade tranquilizers—high-quality equipment that ordinary people couldn't obtain—but in the Fishman Bar, they seemed like standard gear.
Each security guard held a tranquilizer gun and pulled the trigger, sending short, powerful tranquilizer darts flying towards Zheng Yifan. It was as if a net had been cast, covering almost all the space around him.
They didn't care about wasting bullets. As long as they could capture their target, that was all that mattered. Everyone had received the message that this time, the person was not a bar patron or a drunkard, but a troublemaker from the Fellow group.
There was no need for mercy. If someone fell, there were tall individuals to take their place; even if they ended up dead, they could be suppressed. Those who couldn't be subdued could easily have someone else take the blame for a price. They had no worries at all, especially with Zhao Siye's strong background backing them up; nothing seemed capable of challenging him.
Unfortunately for them, their opponent was Zheng Yifan. The notorious killer who had fought his way through the Apocalyptic World and Million Zombies. These tranquilizer darts were nothing compared to what he had faced before in the Hope Gathering Place; even if all the doses were combined, they wouldn't be enough to make Zheng Yifan dizzy.
However, knowing that he wouldn't be harmed didn't mean he would stand still. Humans have an instinct to evade danger, and Zheng Yifan certainly didn't want his clothes to be riddled with holes. Thus, the Adamantium Shield appeared, looking as cool as Captain America wielding his own shield. The guards immediately recognized the origin of this shield.
It was far too famous; how many people hadn’t seen Captain America’s movies? Moreover, as security guards, their downtime often involved watching movies and flirting with girls.
Most of the time, however, the bar's girls were off-limits to them because they were reserved for the wealthy patrons.
"I can't believe it! How stupid can you be to copy Captain America's shield? Do you really think you can become Captain America?" The lead security guard exclaimed when he saw Zheng Yifan use the shield to deflect all the tranquilizer darts.
But he didn’t have time to alert the other guards. Suddenly, a strong current surged from Zheng Yifan's Adamantium Shield, flashing past these guards. All of them were struck by the electric shock and fell to the ground with dimmed eyes.
There was no need for a real attack; just a slight overflow of Vital Energy was enough to knock them out, and such an attack would barely affect even a First-Level Zombie.
Let alone dealing with a Superpowered Individual.
Clearly, this tactic that usually served no purpose was highly effective against these ordinary security guards.
He swept aside all obstacles and charged into the room where Huang Mengni was trapped.
It was the best room in the bar's back area. Despite being just a bar, it was akin to a private club, only without that label.
He burst through the door and immediately spotted a figure—a man standing there, completely naked, holding a leather whip.
This was a real whip, the kind used for herding cattle, not like those flimsy ones seen in movies that only sting a little when they hit.
A strike from this whip would leave a deep gash, a scar that would last a lifetime.
Moreover, there were various other toys laid out nearby, making Zheng Yifan blush furiously.
What was even worse was that he saw two women beside the man, assisting him in tormenting Huang Mengni, who was right across from Zheng Yifan.
Yes, Huang Mengni was there, completely exposed, with something stuffed in her mouth and tape wrapped around her, rendering her unable to speak.
As Zheng Yifan rushed in, the man turned around and shouted fiercely, "Who gave you the guts to come in here? Get out now, or I'll have Zhao Si throw you into the river to feed the fish."
It was just a simple threat, but it carried significant weight here. In Zhao Siye's territory, provoking someone could easily lead to being tossed into the river.
Moreover, he himself held considerable power; he could send people to a mental hospital for a couple of injections and then release them—after that, they would never utter useless nonsense again.
"You must be asking for death! How dare you rob women in broad daylight and act so brazenly! Who gave you that right?" Zheng Yifan exclaimed furiously as he kicked the man in the stomach.
The kick was filled with resentment, showing no mercy at all. Of course, the intention was not to kill him on the spot; otherwise, things would become complicated.
Zheng Yifan was relatively restrained in the real world, adhering to the law mainly because he needed resources from this world and did not want to cause any trouble.
Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. Zheng Yifan's kick only broke three ribs and caused some internal injuries.
He wouldn’t die from it, but a lifetime of disability was inevitable.
At that moment, a group of over ten men, clearly veterans from the military, burst through the door. One of them wielding a baseball bat smashed it down on the two women, causing their brains to splatter. He glared fiercely at Zheng Yifan and then glanced at the man lying on the ground. An older man, looking like an old fisherman with a face full of wrinkles, approached and kicked the man in the chest.
Instantly, the ribs punctured into the lung; even Old Hou might not be able to save him now.
“Kid, these three lives will be counted against you. You can’t escape this. If you have any backing, show it. If you can intimidate me, I’ll apologize,” the old fisherman said calmly, as if he hadn’t just killed a high-ranking individual.
“I don’t have any backing or power, and I’m certainly not a second-generation rich kid. But I’m not afraid of you. Do whatever you want; I’m definitely taking this person with me,” Zheng Yifan declared as he kicked the iron cross, splitting it in two. The leather cuffs binding the arms and hands snapped under the pressure of his finger.
Looking at the old buddy before him and sensing the situation outside, Zheng Yifan wasted no time and smashed through the wall with his Adamantium Shield, jumping down from the third floor.
Huang Mengni was completely unadorned, her shyness mixed with fear made her struggle continuously.
However, in Zheng Yifan's embrace, she had no chance to escape. In the blink of an eye, they were already at the bar's entrance, where Zheng Yifan’s previously ordered Jaguar was surrounded by people.
At that moment, her heart calmed down somewhat. So what if the car was surrounded? This man had just given her a taste of jumping off a building and had powerfully smashed through a wall.
She had no idea how tough that Glass Wall was; each pane was made of Bulletproof Glass, and it would take an immense amount of force to shatter it.
After all, most of the clients here were prominent figures, and security measures had to be top-notch.
In a situation like this, it was something no one had ever considered. Who would have thought someone could smash Bulletproof Glass with a shield?
That was a scene straight out of a movie, something that simply didn't exist in the real world.
However, while they were still in shock, Zheng Yifan had already incapacitated several security guards guarding his car and stuffed Huang Mengni into the passenger seat, draping a blanket over her.
“Vroom!” The engine roared as Zheng Yifan vanished in a flash of red light at the entrance of Fishman Bar.
A few minutes later, when nearly a hundred security guards and onlookers emerged, they discovered that the large iron gate at the front had completely vanished, leaving behind a deep trench in the ground. The guards were all unconscious.
“We must find out who this person is! No one can trample on my territory and swagger away like that! Absolutely not!” A piercing scream sent chills down many spines.
At this moment, who knew how many lives would be lost because of this?
Only Zhao Siye's figure emerged from the shattered hole created by Zheng Yifan, his gaze sharp like that of a hawk.
