The vibrations were almost driving Zheng Yifan insane, as the Silver Spear in his hand was shaken violently, throwing him off balance with astonishing speed. 0

Tens of thousands of Zombies exploded simultaneously, transforming into a green liquid. The destructive power was far beyond anything Zheng Yifan had ever witnessed from any Zombie before. 0

It was a nearly mature Zombie Leader. 0

This was the first time Zheng Yifan had encountered such a creature. It resembled a Dwarf, possessing facial features and sight, and he could see the hatred burning in its eyes. 0

The powerful sound waves crushed all the Zombies, including the Fourth-Stage Zombies; this was a tactic specifically designed to deal with them. 0

Since the emergence of the Leader Zombie, its primary targets had always been its own kind, constantly evolving for that purpose. To them, humans were merely prey, akin to breakfast; they hunted relentlessly like predators. 0

Now, it felt the backlash from its prey and sensed rage. It wanted to kill this human, but all its attempts were futile. It dared not bet on whether it could hold out long enough for the other Zombies nearby to finish off this fragile human. 0

They knew they were even more vulnerable, lacking any protective measures, as weak as newly born Zombies. Their strength relied on Puppet Zombies; despite their formidable close combat skills, without Puppet Zombies, they were powerless. 0

Of course, aside from this sonic attack to suppress their subordinates. 0

Now that it had used this tactic, it indicated that they had entered the most dangerous moment. 0

The Zombie Leader continued to roar in anger while the surrounding Zombies had completely vanished without a trace. Even other Leader Zombies had cleared a significant space around it. 0

All the nearby Zombies lay dead, leaving behind a glimmering green hue on the ground. The Mutated Plants below couldn't absorb such a massive amount of Zombies quickly enough. Moreover, the shimmering purple Zombie Crystal s nearly carpeted the ground. 0

However, Zheng Yifan had no time to appreciate any of this because he was on the brink of madness. He was already weighed down by several layers of soundproof materials that he had hastily commissioned from people in the real world just hours earlier. They had dismantled several karaoke rooms to cobble together this makeshift contraption. 0

Now, it turned out that he was trapped inside it. 0

Yet even so, it merely weakened the Zombie Leader's roar; that sound made the soundproof room tremble and slowly began to peel away. 0

It was a torment. The other Zombies on the battlefield were experiencing brief moments of losing control. 0

The powerful sound waves disrupted all commands from the Zombie Leaders. Even those not within the range of destruction felt the effects. 0

This particular Zombie was truly the leader of all Zombies. However, it could not directly control the Zombie horde. 0

"Boom!" After five full minutes, Zheng Yifan could no longer hold on. The entire room had turned to dust, leaving only him inside, covering his ears and striking poses. 0

The Zombie Leader was nearing madness. The sound waves came at a cost; using them drained a significant portion of its power. Now, in order to wield that power, it had expended almost all its strength. Its control over the other Zombies had reached a fragile state. 0

Chaos began to erupt among the Zombie horde. The Leader Zombies had their own thoughts and a weakened form of intelligence, aware of their actions and how to avoid risks. 0

But now, they clearly faced a threat to their lives, having witnessed the foolishness of their leader. The strongest among them lay on its back on the ground. A shield flew past its head, taking half of its skull with it. The shriveled brain matter inside burst forth in an instant; they were still Zombies after all. Though they did not understand fear, their desire for survival surpassed that of humans. 0

Humans still possessed a reckless disregard for death, but the fundamental will for survival constantly reminded the Zombies to protect themselves; this was their lifelong pursuit. 0

Many Leader Zombies began preparing to flee, while the Advanced Zombies slowly regrouped and retreated. 0

Of course, the ordinary First-Level and Second-Level Zombies paid no attention to this; so many Zombies would drain their strength significantly. 0

Being swept along by the Siege was one thing; escaping with their lives was another. They valued their strength above all else, second only to life itself. 0

Fragmented and scattered, the Zombie Leaders could no longer manage the other Zombies. Without a central Zombie Leader to oversee them, all the Zombies fell into disarray. 0

However, Zheng Yifan could not afford to think about that. He only knew he had to eliminate these monstrous beings as much as possible. The Zombie Leader before him was terrifying; it seemed to have evolved into something extraordinarily powerful. 0

In his mind's eye, he could already see a white figure appearing there—an apparition that emerged when one advanced to the Fourth Stage. 0

That was the source of power he gained upon reaching the Fourth Stage. Although he did not know what kind of instructions it would entail or what those words truly meant, it remained his most precious strength. 0

It was this very power that had just saved him. Any soundproofing materials were utterly inadequate; the final explosion from the Zombie Leader was akin to the force of an atomic bomb. 0

A significant layer of the ground had been scraped away, with thick plant roots overturned and many broken streams scattered about. The ground was already flooded with Zombie Fluid. 0

The Mutated Plants underground were shaking their roots frantically, absorbing the Zombie Fluid from the surface. Their roots seemed to slowly connect back together before retracting. 0

No matter what, Zheng Yifan had managed to escape a disaster. The Zombie Leader before him was dead, leaving behind only a mysterious White Soul Crystal. 0

Zheng Yifan had no idea what the Zombie Crystal from the Zombie Leader could do; everything awaited research in the laboratory. 0

However, he needed to leave immediately, even though there was no time to collect the Zombie Crystal s scattered around. 0

He needed to quickly eliminate other Zombie Leaders. 0

The pressure of battle on the city walls had suddenly decreased, and the soldiers even began to counterattack. 0

Of course, this so-called counterattack merely involved exhausted soldiers dealing with the Second-Level Zombies. The main force on the battlefield now consisted of ordinary warriors. 0

The Superpowered Individuals were completely worn out and utterly incapacitated. The Ordinary Warriors operated Flamethrowers to eliminate the Zombies below the city walls, pouring down barrels of fuel before igniting them in flames. 0

Without the Leader Zombie, those Ordinary Zombies acted like fools. It was an unequal war; these Zombies could only crowd beneath the walls, hoping to climb up. 0

But that was impossible; the walls stood ten meters high, far beyond their ability to scale. They could only continue pushing forward until one of their own fell or was trampled by another Zombie behind them, forming a bridge of Zombies once more. 0

Unfortunately, with the threat of Advanced Zombies gone, the defending warriors faced diminishing danger and had many more options at their disposal. 0

Many things that had been unused were brought out, but the most abundant was fire, as it was incredibly effective against Zombies. The fat on the Zombies served as the best fuel. 0

In the center of the battlefield, the Glide parachute continued to float, swiftly passing over the distance. 0

Zheng Yifan held onto the rope, constantly adjusting the direction of the Glide parachute above him. When the wind was just right, he began to climb upwards along the rope. 0

His goal was simply to use the power of the Glide parachute to remain suspended for a while longer. Now, the Glide parachute could only last for a limited time before becoming unusable. He couldn't retract it, nor could he truly change its direction. 0

He could only adjust its angle slightly. 0

However, that angle happened to be in the direction where two Zombie Leaders were constantly fleeing. Zheng Yifan had already memorized their positions in his mind; even if they ran, they wouldn't get far. 0

It was only seventy or eighty meters high. The fierce wind howled in his ears, but Zheng Yifan felt nothing at all. His ears were buzzing incessantly now, and it seemed unlikely they would recover anytime soon. 0

But that was fine. In dealing with Zombies, this state was actually better; if he could hear, it would be a nuisance since he would have to endure the torment of those Zombie Leaders soon. 0

Moreover, he had to leave them a way to survive so they could inflict some suffering on him, which would help him deal with those Advanced Zombies. 0

Otherwise, he would have to face hundreds of Advanced Zombies. 0

Although he didn't know exactly how many there were, it was definitely not a small number. Furthermore, they had not yet escaped from the area of Low-Level Zombies; the nearby Low-Level Zombies were also obstacles for Zheng Yifan as he continued to pursue other Leader Zombies. 0

He could only endure. There was no other way unless Zheng Yifan comprehended a super move that could sweep across the battlefield. 0

Was that possible? 0

That was nothing but a joke. 0

The target was locked in sight. The Leader Zombie ahead could almost be described as stealthily hiding among the horde of Zombies, but they were unaware that the nearby Advanced Zombie served as the best navigation, easily spotted at a glance. 0

The two Leader Zombies in front had Puppets that were quite tall, which was a preference among all Leader Zombies. A hulking figure over four meters tall was certainly not hard to find. Zheng Yifan was already diving from mid-air, having completely detached his Glide parachute. The last segment of rope had been released, like a kite set free, and Zheng Yifan had no idea where he would drift. 0

He launched a frontal attack on the Zombie, disregarding the impact it would have on himself. Zheng Yifan was like a missile that had been fired, fixated on the abdomen of the Puppet Zombie belonging to the Zombie Leader before him, and he thrust forward with force. 0

This was the dwelling place of the Zombie Leader. Zheng Yifan had been observing them for a long time and had gained a preliminary understanding of the structure of the Puppet Zombie from the earlier encounter with the Zombie Leader. This position was precisely where the Zombie Leader hid; slightly above it lay the esophagus and the stomach pouch that extracted nutrients to sustain the Zombie Leader. Regardless of how large the Puppet Zombie expanded, Zheng Yifan was certain of this location. 0

From outside, it was evident that this spot would have very distinct characteristics. 0

The junction of the previous Zombie resembled a zipper. 0

In front of him, this Puppet Zombie was even more pronounced; it appeared like a wrinkle. Zheng Yifan had previously failed to recognize it due to lack of experience, but now he could see it clearly at a glance. He thrust his spear sharply along the direction of the wrinkle, as if stirring through a sticky mass of glue. Then he heard the roar of the Zombie Leader followed by its frenzied cries. 0

But it didn’t matter. Zheng Yifan had grown accustomed to such sounds; even his ears, which were undergoing self-repair, had begun to develop a certain immunity to them. 0

The cacophony continued as Zheng Yifan gritted his teeth against the pain and rushed toward the next Zombie Leader, which was only about thirty or forty meters away. He no longer needed to concern himself with the previous Zombie Leader; his Silver Spear had already pierced through its skull, and its cries were growing fainter—it was nearing death. 0

In the distance, another Zombie Leader glanced back in terror before bolting away, giving no chance for Zheng Yifan to catch up. 0

However, Zheng Yifan would not let him escape. The Advanced Zombies behind were dizzy from their leader's howls, their bodies continuously melting into Zombie Fluid. If there were just a few more minutes of Howling, they would meet their demise. 0

With two Zombie Leaders together, if one used sound waves before dying, it would be detrimental to its allies. 0

Because all of the other Zombies under that Leader would be killed off by its own actions, leaving them vulnerable for enemies to exploit and take them down together. 0

The Zombie in front had little opportunity to flee; its Puppet Zombie had already begun to melt away, slowly dripping green liquid. 0

The hideous face slowly emerged before Zheng Yifan, the Puppet Zombie having lost its vitality, reduced to a mere puppet with no function whatsoever. 0

The Leader Zombie squeezed out slowly, but the Puppet Zombie lacked the strength to release it. 0

This was a perfect opportunity that Zheng Yifan could not let slip by. Although he did not have the Silver Spear in hand, as it remained lodged in the chest of the Zombie Leader behind him, he still possessed the Adamantium Shield. 0

As the Leader Zombie poked its head out, Zheng Yifan hurled the Adamantium Shield with his left hand and then charged forward. He aimed to control the sound waves of the Zombie before him. The Zombie Leader behind him was nearly out of breath, its howling almost completely ceased. The Advanced Zombies had sustained significant damage but were not dead. 0

The Adamantium Shield targeted the body of the Leader Zombie, not directly attacking its head. 0

Zheng Yifan needed its desperate struggle. 0

As expected, that maddening sound followed, howling fiercely at Zheng Yifan's body. 0

Unfortunately for it, in Zheng Yifan's ears, this fellow became the most beautiful music. 0

For the Adamantium Shield had severed the legs of the Leader Zombie. 0

And next, he had even more brutal methods awaiting this Leader Zombie. (To be continued) 0
