At the very center of Han Sui City Gathering Place, the Ice King stood atop a gate almost entirely forged from ice, looking down at the members of the First Division, including Commander Luo Yaoyang. 0

At this moment, Luo Yaoyang was feeling utterly miserable. Only about forty to fifty of his closest companions remained by his side; the rest were ordinary people. In contrast, there were nearly two hundred Superpowered Individuals from the Ice King Mercenary Corps across from him. Although they were nothing more than rabble, they were still far beyond what his Ordinary Warriors could contend with. 0

"Luo Yaoyang, why not join us in the Ice King Mercenary Corps? We only welcome the strong here. To me, you qualify as half of one. And that big-bottomed girl can join us too. As for the others..." The Ice King disdainfully glanced at the rest, drawing his hand across his neck: "Eliminate them all." 0

The Ice King's display of power made Luo Yaoyang feel a wave of nausea, but he had no choice. The Ice King was simply too bizarre, wielding an overwhelming destructive force. Especially that towering ice wall, five or six meters high and as transparent as crystal, which he had conjured with his bare hands using Superpower—it shattered most of Luo Yaoyang's understanding. 0

Was this still humanity? Ordinary humans did not possess such strange Superpowers. What terrified him even more was the Night Demon, for it was this peculiar fellow that had transformed those ordinary people into Superpowered Individuals. Just yesterday, the battle had been evenly matched, with his side even holding an advantage. But ever since the Night Demon vanished yesterday, nearly two hundred Superpowered Individuals suddenly appeared today, and they seemed to have gone mad, attacking anyone in sight. 0

He had witnessed a seven or eight-year-old child using Superpower to conjure several scissors and personally severing his father's head in two; this could no longer be considered human. They were definitely demons—beings that crawled out from hell. 0

The people behind Luo Yaoyang were nearly paralyzed with fear. Especially one Superpowered Individual wearing a cotton coat produced by Hope Mall; he was the most valuable Formation Master in Han Sui City Gathering Place. Yet the Ice King showed no regard for this special Superpowered Individual at all—completely ignoring him. 0

This left Luo Yaoyang with no choice but to fight back desperately. His method of desperation involved bringing forth all the formations he had previously inscribed, even some life-saving items. 0

For instance, right before him lay a Type Nuclear Bomb embedded with dozens of Second-Stage Soul Crystals. 0

Though it was a type bomb, it still stood nearly as tall as a person, intricately inscribed with various formation diagrams. He was already a Second Tier Formation Master, and nearly all resources in the Gathering Place were leaning toward him; however, Third-Stage Soul Crystals remained strictly controlled. 0

Now that he had brought this out, he was prepared for mutual destruction with his enemies. 0

On either side of him stood over a hundred Machine Guns, behind which were Howitzers and the latest Resonance Bombs. 0

These weapons utilized resonance principles to cause large-scale destruction of physical environments. In a Post-Apocalypse setting, their large-scale use was absolutely prohibited. 0

But now, they could no longer afford to care about such restrictions. They had brought out both Resonance Bombs they possessed. 0

Yet the Ice King remained unfazed because weapons could only be used by those who lived; what if all these people were killed? 0

"I'll give you ten seconds," he said, extending his right hand and counting quickly. "My patience is limited now; I don't have time to waste on you. The entire world awaits my conquest; Han Sui City Gathering Place is merely a stepping stone." 0

It felt like a grim reaper's forecast, sending chills down the spine. Luo Yaoyang was terrified, truly terrified. At that moment, he even contemplated detonating a nuclear bomb. 0

Because the Night Demon across from him had lifted its hood, revealing a face that was entirely inhuman, resembling that of a Zombie. It had sharp horns on its head and teeth like those of a Saber-Toothed Tiger. 0

It had completely transformed into a Zombie-like figure. 0

Yet it still retained human rationality and even preserved its Superpower. 0

"The great master has granted me an immortal body. The will of eternal life, and even powerful strength. All I need to do is trample you ants to death. This mission is too simple." It licked its decayed Claw with its lips. 0

"Ugh!" Many core members of Team 1 retched; it was too disgusting. 0

Time ticked away second by second. Both sides were on edge, with the Formation Master having activated the countdown switch for the nuclear bomb, waiting for the moment it would automatically detonate at zero seconds. The button to stop it was in his hand; pressing it would halt the detonation. 0

"Commander! It's bad! Those Hope Mall scoundrels have charged in!" Suddenly, from afar, a Second-Stage Esper came rushing back in a panic, urine streaming down his legs. Behind him, a flash of white light zipped past. Then that Superpowered Individual was instantly bisected, his upper and lower halves slowly separating. 0

His internal organs began to slide out, along with his terrified expression. However, the vitality of the Superpowered Individual made it difficult for him to die immediately; ancient criminals executed by being cut in half could take several minutes to die from the pain. And he was still a formidable Superpowered Individual with powerful self-healing abilities; he wouldn't die easily without at least seven or eight minutes. 0

Seemingly anticipating his fate, without any hesitation, he opened his right hand and used all his remaining Superpower to strike his own head. In an instant, his brain splattered, and a Second-Stage Esper met his end. 0

Everyone on the battlefield turned their gaze toward this individual as blood flowed from his body, winding along the gravel on the ground and creating an eerie picture that was ultimately frozen by the cold, losing the last remnants of cellular vitality. 0

Surrounding them was the silent two-story wooden building. On the second floor, many people had been peering inside; they were squatters who had fled when the house became vacant and now occupied it, hoping to sell it for a good price once order was restored. 0

The construction of the houses was highly systematic, resembling a massive compass in a Post-Apocalypse setting. The Inner City served as the center of this compass, continuously extending outward. 0

In the crowd, Ice King and Luo Yaoyang turned to cross paths with the unfortunate Superpowered Individual. In the distance, nearly a thousand people were slowly advancing, four Hummer Dragons imposing in their presence. At the front, on a Future Pioneer Motorcycle, sat a burly man with a shield hanging from his left arm and a long spear in his right hand. 0

He resembled an ancient general, but the motorcycle was an oddity; if it had been a steed instead, it would have exuded majesty. 0

However, this combination was laughable, yet no one could afford to laugh at that moment. As they turned away, a drop of blood slowly dripped from the shield, instantly staining half of the ice crimson. 0

"Did you kill my subordinate?" Ice King remained standing on the ice wall, completely unfazed by Zheng Yifan's attack. Night Demon looked at him with some surprise; after all, in Night Demon's memory, Zheng Yifan was practically dead since he had guarded that spot all night before leaving the lake's surface. 0

He couldn't risk entering the water; that would surely mean death. 0

To his astonishment, this Fellow was remarkably resilient—still alive after all that. 0

"This guy is the leader of Hope Mall; his strength is quite impressive. A few moments ago, I had him cornered with no way out, and yet somehow he managed to escape from me." 0

"Interesting, very interesting. Another new toy to play with." Night Demon licked his Claw hungrily; it had already begun to mutate and resembled a Zombie more than anything else. 0

Ice King suppressed his urge to vomit and forced himself not to look at Night Demon. This Fellow was truly something else; in pursuit of power, he had discarded his original form entirely. He was desperately transforming himself into something akin to a Zombie and had even managed to procure those magical Essences from somewhere. Those were valuable items capable of turning ordinary people into Superpowered Individuals, but each one required an Essence Fruit to activate the Superpower successfully. 0

However, those who used such Essences would experience demonic phenomena and could genuinely become Zombies. Yet most still transformed into Superpowered Individuals—only far more bloodthirsty and devoid of humanity. 0

Fortunately, they still obeyed the commands of those who administered the Essences to them. Otherwise, Ice King wouldn't dare use such things. 0

"Kid, last time you escaped from me; this time you won't get out alive. It's just right for me to test my new moves." Night Demon shot forward like a ghost. 0

Zheng Yifan halted his motorcycle and waved backward. "Everyone spread out and be ready to attack at any moment. I'll handle this unholy creature over here. Other Superpowered Individuals can hold their ground." 0

With that, Zheng Yifan began to retreat. There was no other choice; Night Demon was too bizarre. In that brief moment of rushing forward, he had gathered all shadows present at his feet and continued expanding them. 0

The last time he encountered Night Demon, he hadn't amplified his shadow powers—he merely absorbed what he could use. 0

It seemed this Fellow had evolved again. 0

Or perhaps it had become demonic, because the Night Demon before him resembled neither a human nor a Superpowered Individual; it was simply a Zombie. 0

He threw his Adamantium Shield to test its strength against the creature. 0

But it turned out that the Night Demon had indeed grown powerful. The Adamantium Shield flew past him without inflicting any harm, as if it merely grazed the shadow. The creature's body flickered in and out of visibility, emanating waves of black energy. With each step, it dragged along the shadow cast by the sun, its power increasing and its lethality growing stronger. 0

Once again, a shadowy figure appeared in mid-air. 0

However, this time it was not a human silhouette but a longsword, one that was becoming increasingly condensed. 0

When the Night Demon charged in front of Zheng Yifan, the longsword had already shrunk to the size of a normal sword and was held in the Night Demon's hand. 0

He was actually using shadows as weapons. But what about its originally formidable lethality? Did it still exist? 0

The answer was affirmative; the Night Demon had become even stronger. 0

To be continued... 0
