As I marveled at the depth and mystery of the forest, a white shadow suddenly flashed from the depths of the thicket, gradually coalescing into a magnificent white tiger.
It moved with grace, silently approaching me, its amber eyes gazing intently at me, seemingly revealing a profound emotion. Then, it slowly drew closer, so light it seemed to float.
I widened my eyes in astonishment; this white tiger was none other than the Beast King I had saved during that crisis. Now, it had transformed into human form and stood before me. He had long silver-white hair that flowed gently in the wind, and his eyes remained as deep as I remembered.
"You’re awake," he said with a smile, his voice warm and magnetic. I was stunned, hardly able to believe my eyes and ears.
He gently took my hand, his touch warm and strong. He began to tell me the truth about how he became the Beast King and how he had fought to save his kin. His words were filled with determination and responsibility, drawing me deeply into his story.
It turned out he had stayed in this forest to protect all its creatures. A fiery light shone in his eyes, a testament to his love and dedication for this land.
He looked at me, his gaze sparkling with affection: "Will you stay with me in this forest for a lifetime?" His intense stare seemed to melt me away, making it impossible to resist. Faced with his deep feelings, I nodded, deciding to stand by him and face future challenges together.
However, just as we were preparing to move forward hand in hand, an unexpected visitor intruded into our lives. Han Feng, the man I once loved deeply but who had also hurt me profoundly, somehow learned that I was still alive.
He called me, his voice filled with regret and pleading: " Lin Yue, I know I was wrong. I shouldn’t have left you in such a dangerous place. Please forgive me; can we start over?"
I coldly rejected him; the pain of the past was still vivid in my mind, and I could not forget his betrayal and abandonment. Yet Han Feng did not give up; he found my address and decided to come see me in person.
When the Beast King learned of this news, a look of determination and resolve flashed in his eyes: "I care for you too. If he truly intends to find you, I will let him come alone. We will have our battle outside the forest; if he wins, I will willingly leave; if I win, he must give you up." His voice was filled with authority and confidence that left me no room for rebuttal.
The day of the final battle had finally arrived. Yan and I, along with his orc companions, stood outside the forest waiting for Han Feng's arrival. In the distance, I spotted that familiar figure—Han Feng—alone yet filled with determination and courage in his eyes.
But for me, it was all too late; my heart had long belonged to Yan, the man who fought by my side to protect the forest.
The duel between the two men was exceptionally fierce as they fought desperately for me.
In the end, Yan triumphed over Han Feng with his immense strength and unwavering conviction, winning the battle.
However, when the fight concluded, Yan made a decision that surprised everyone—he chose to give me to Han Feng.
He looked at me with deep affection and said, "You should live a human life, enjoying human happiness and joy. As for me, I am the guardian of this forest; I cannot leave this land."
With that, he turned away, leaving only a solitary figure behind.
Han Feng was overjoyed, but I knew deep down that I no longer loved him.
