Infinite Strongest G
Not long after the father and daughter left, a fiery red Lamborghini roared into view, spewing black smoke as it turned into the breakfast shop's entrance.
The driver intended to park in a space but found a black Audi already occupying it. Lin Ruxian, sitting in the driver's seat of the Lamborghini, was a bit confused; this car didn’t seem to belong to her father.
After parking the car, Lin Ruxian, wearing a pair of sunglasses, spotted her father, Lin Zhengfeng, who was busy kneading dough.
“Dad, whose car is that outside? Why is it parked in our spot?”
Lin Zhengfeng looked up and was surprised to see his daughter had returned.
“Oh, that car? What a coincidence! I was just busy when I ran into that young man we met at the airport last time. He was with his daughter and wanted to go to the market but couldn’t find a parking space, so I let him borrow ours,” Lin Zhengfeng replied casually.
“Huh?”
Lin Ruxian pointed at the shiny Audi outside and asked her father, “Dad, whose car is that?”
“Don’t you remember? It’s that guy I met when I picked you up from the airport—the one with his daughter. It’s strange; you told me he was your business partner. How could you forget so quickly?” Lin Zhengfeng said with some displeasure.
He remembered it clearly; how could his daughter, the person involved, forget?
Hearing her father's words, Lin Ruxian's delicate eyes suddenly narrowed with amusement.
What a coincidence! I can’t believe I ran into you here!
Thinking back to the information she had gathered from the AE Alliance earlier, Lin Ruxian felt a wave of frustration wash over her.
Just after teaming up with Li Hong to form the Women's Team and asking him for support, this guy started plotting to sell out their efforts.
Li Hong's duplicitous actions made Lin Ruxian grit her teeth in anger.
Despite her dissatisfaction, Lin Ruxian was curious about what Li Hong was really thinking. The bright prospects of the boxing industry were clear even to an outsider like her, and the potential for future development was undeniably strong.
However, it was surprising that someone like Li Hong would sell such a promising venture without hesitation.
Lin Ruxian wanted to ask him if he was facing some kind of problem or if he needed money.
If he truly needed cash, Lin Ruxian felt she could offer some help. Selling a company with such good prospects just because of temporary financial issues would surely lead to regret later on.
When the Seven Fairies Squad entered the LPL League, it was Li Hong who had contributed significantly. Out of both sentiment and reason, Lin Ruxian felt she should lend a hand if something happened to him.
As for whether the situation was really that simple, Lin Ruxian couldn't be sure.
Although she had only met Li Hong once, he felt like an old friend. With him, Lin Ruxian didn't have to worry about her identity or influence; she felt more at ease.
"This is ridiculous. Am I really falling for him at first sight? And he's a single father?" Lin Ruxian thought, her face flushing.
Meanwhile, Lin Zhengfeng, who was kneading dough, suddenly noticed his daughter’s bashful expression and nearly dropped the dough on her face in shock.
"No, no, that guy is definitely not as simple as he seems. He must be hiding something from me!" Lin Zhengfeng thought to himself.
He had underestimated his daughter! He thought she wouldn’t fall for another man after the last time, but here she was again, deceived!
"I need to find a way to break them up!" Lin Zhengfeng clenched his fists in determination.
While the father and daughter duo were lost in their own thoughts, another father-daughter pair had already arrived at the market.
As soon as they entered the bustling market, Li Hong picked up Yuchen.
The ground was covered in dirt and fish scales; Li Hong couldn’t let Yuchen walk on such a surface.
With so many people around, what would happen if she fell? With this concern in mind, Li Hong decided to carry Yuchen all the way through the market.
Yuchen may not look heavy, but she certainly isn't light. Carrying her in one arm felt like lifting a bucket of ten liters of vegetable oil for Li Hong.
Though his arm would ache after a while, Yuchen's weight was manageable, and strolling through the market with her wasn't much of a challenge for Li Hong.
As they approached a freezer selling chicken wings, thighs, and feet, Yuchen chirped excitedly, urging Li Hong to buy some wings and thighs.
With no choice but to oblige, Li Hong carried Yuchen over to the stall and began examining the chicken parts inside the freezer.
After the vendor opened the freezer door for them, Li Hong picked up a chicken thigh covered in ice shards and inspected it closely.
Since Yuchen liked it, he figured they might as well buy some.
Li Hong had no strong opinions about grocery shopping; he simply followed Yuchen's preferences. Whatever she wanted or liked, he would get.
"Boss, I'll take two pounds of chicken thighs and one pound of wings," Li Hong said after assessing the quality of the thighs, feeling relieved.
The thighs were decent—while they weren't perfect, they were acceptable enough.
Shopping at the market wasn't about selecting beauty; Li Hong's only requirement was that the items met a basic standard.
He was wary of ingredients that looked too perfect; those often seemed more like chemical concoctions than real food.
The chicken thigh Yuchen chose had some bone fragments left in the meat from where it had been cut, but overall it was quite good. The skin was taut and tightly connected to the meat, unlike some chicken where the skin could easily be peeled away.
Li Hong couldn't bring himself to eat chicken with loose skin.
For many, shopping at the market is a test of vision and experience, but Li Hong thought that was somewhat unfair. In reality, subpar ingredients were in the minority at the market. Most of what was displayed was above average quality.
As for concerns about chemicals? Well, if that was a worry, it would be better to avoid the market altogether and grow their own vegetables in the countryside.
This chemical substance has already permeated every aspect of human life. Even if you wipe away the chemicals from what you're eating, there are still other ways to come into contact with them.
In this highly developed society, it is nearly impossible to completely eliminate the impact of chemicals on the body. Unless you wear a spacesuit that costs millions and refrain from eating or drinking for a lifetime.
If you can manage that, then you might be able to escape the effects of chemicals on your body.
Some people worry about pesticide residues on fruits and vegetables, claiming they are harmful to children. Li Hong wonders if these people's concerns indicate some underlying issues.
How many bacteria do children's hands come into contact with? That is where the real danger lies! The pesticide residues on fruits and vegetables, diluted countless times, cannot compare to how dirty a child's hands can be!
Rather than worrying about pesticide residues, it would be better to worry about who kissed your child and what viruses and bacteria they might have brought along.
Shaking his head, Li Hong decided not to dwell on these thoughts any longer. After paying, he picked up the chicken legs and wings that the shopkeeper had packed for him, and father and daughter continued deeper into the market.
