"What exactly is this thing?"
Li Hong examined the blueprints closely but still couldn't make heads or tails of it.
However, that wasn't surprising; after all, Li Hong wasn't a mechanical engineering major. It was perfectly normal not to understand such specialized diagrams.
Mechanical blueprints carried by the Supreme God?
Just thinking about it made it clear that it wasn't something simple. Even if it was just paper used by the Supreme God for wiping, it wouldn't be an ordinary piece of paper!
Unable to decipher the blueprints, Li Hong decided to find someone more knowledgeable to help him out.
Mark over at Fist was a game developer and a top student, so he should be able to figure it out, right?
When Li Hong found Mark, he was busy working on the upcoming update for Goddess Alliance.
After handing the blueprints to him, Mark's eyes nearly popped out of his head.
"Boss, where did you get this blueprint?" Mark asked in astonishment.
"Don't focus on that nonsense; just tell me what this blueprint is about," Li Hong waved off Mark's curiosity.
Mark scratched his head, looking shocked as he said, "I'm not from the engineering department, but I can still make out a bit. This appears to be a design for a Virtual Reality headset, and it looks incredibly advanced."
"Virtual Reality?" Li Hong felt overwhelmed.
Did these people not realize that their Boss was just an uneducated fool?
Why couldn't they use simpler terms instead of throwing around jargon like AR and VR?
"Yes, this should be a more advanced Virtual Reality Headset. I can't understand the technical structure here either; without a physical reference, no one can make sense of it," Mark said, feeling a bit embarrassed.
Li Hong's brows furrowed even tighter. Just looking at the blueprints and still not understanding? If they were to actually create a physical product, who knows when that would happen?
"Can this thing actually be made?" Li Hong pressed.
For now, it didn't matter what this device was; after all, it came from Supreme God, so it certainly wasn't something you could find on the street. Li Hong was eager to know if they could turn this into a tangible object.
"According to the requirements on the blueprints, it should be possible. The processing procedure isn't difficult; even a programmer could piece it together," Mark nodded.
"Then you make one for me to see. I want to find out exactly what this physical object is," Li Hong instructed.
Mark nodded and said, "Sure, the materials needed are quite common. I'll go procure them right away."
With that, Mark grabbed his phone from the table and dashed out of the company like the wind.
As a tech enthusiast, Mark was deeply passionate about new technologies. With a blueprint in front of him, even if Li Hong hadn't pushed him, he would have gone ahead and created a physical version himself.
Once Mark left, Li Hong stayed in the monitoring room, waiting for him to return with the supplies.
He waited for several hours.
By the time Mark returned with a large bag full of materials, it was already past four in the afternoon.
Taking advantage of the still-early hour, Li Hong quickly urged Mark to assemble the mysterious headset.
Assembling it was no challenge for Mark. As a kid who loved science, his hands-on skills were on par with those of skilled technicians.
The assembly of the shell was not a problem at all; it was quite simple, and Mark completed it in no time.
However, it was the wiring connections that gave Mark a headache.
"Wait, this connection won't work," Mark said, holding a wrench and looking distressed.
Li Hong asked, "What's going on? Is there something wrong with the blueprint?"
Mark pointed at the blueprint with frustration. "Boss, this blueprint is strange. The connection points are clear as day, yet I have no idea how to proceed."
Li Hong sighed. "Well, why are you telling me? I'm not a mechanic."
"Just figure it out; we can't have a blueprint and still fail to produce the actual item," Li Hong said, scratching his head.
Mark stared seriously at the blueprint on the table and cautiously began working on the circuit board in his hands.
The circuit board on the blueprint was incredibly complex. Even with Mark's considerable skills, it took him a great deal of effort to create just one piece.
This helmet was clearly a high-tech product, yet it had no chips or core components. This surprised Mark—no chips in the Virtual Helmet?
But since he had already started making it, he could only keep his doubts to himself.
After more than an hour of work, Mark finally completed the helmet portion of the blueprint.
Just as he used tweezers to secure the last wire, the originally rough and ugly helmet transformed into a smooth, rounded shape.
The gaps and traces from the previous assembly vanished without a trace.
The entire helmet looked like a half-cut eggshell. No matter from which angle one looked at it, there were no signs of assembly visible.
"Oh my God, is this for real?" Mark exclaimed, covering his mouth in surprise.
This was clearly something he had pieced together himself, yet at the moment he saw the actual object, he could hardly believe his eyes.
What had happened before?
He had only assembled an ugly and rough helmet; how had it transformed into this?
Compared to Mark's astonishment, Li Hong remained much calmer. He had long suspected that the blueprint from the Supreme God was definitely not that simple.
To his surprise, this blueprint was indeed quite extraordinary. He witnessed the effect after Mark's assembly, and in the blink of an eye, it had turned into this form.
Looking at the smooth and rounded surface of the helmet, Li Hong furrowed his brow and asked, "Is this a protective measure? Is it to prevent confidential information from leaking?"
Mark nodded. Even though he was still in shock, he guessed that this was probably the case.
Seeing the hammer on the workbench beside him, Li Hong's eyes lit up.
In Mark's stunned gaze, Li Hong swung the hammer in his hand and struck down hard on the newly assembled helmet.
Before Mark could stop him, the hammer came crashing down onto the helmet.
But in the next moment, an unexpected situation occurred that took both of them by surprise.
The low-quality helmet, made of plastic and fabric, surprisingly remained unscathed under Li Hong's hammer.
"This is impossible!" Mark exclaimed in astonishment.
He had assembled the item himself, and no one understood its quality better than he did. To put it bluntly, this thing could be shattered into pieces even with a slap, let alone a hammer.
So why was it that despite Li Hong swinging the hammer, the helmet still showed no signs of damage?
Li Hong gazed at the still-smooth surface of the helmet, deep in thought.
If this helmet was indeed as he suspected, then having such protective measures wouldn't be surprising at all.
The question remained: while this helmet could withstand a hammer strike, could it resist other forms of destruction?
It seemed that this item wasn't indestructible; it simply had a threshold of danger. As long as the destructive force exceeded that threshold, the helmet would sustain damage.
