“Ten projects?”
Charlie was somewhat surprised. Could Sweet Potato really handle that many right from the start?
“Boss, shouldn’t we think this over? Jumping into so many projects at once, won’t our funding be a bit tight?”
Li Hong paused at the question. He had just returned and wasn’t aware of how much usable capital Sweet Potato had left. Charlie’s inquiry hit the nail on the head.
“How much money do we have on the books?” Li Hong asked curiously.
Charlie shrugged, looking helpless. “We probably still have around thirty million left, thanks to the box office share from I Am Red Riding Hood, I Love the Big Bad Wolf. This money can probably only push one or two projects forward.”
Li Hong felt a headache coming on. To be honest, launching ten projects at once was no joke.
If Sweet Potato wanted to quickly gain recognition and broaden its financial sources, it needed to initiate more projects. But with the current funds, only one project could be activated, which was quite awkward.
“Riot can help a bit; after all, they have their servers ready and don’t need that much cash flow. With this funding, it should be about enough, right?” Li Hong asked with a frown.
Charlie calculated for a moment, then picked up a piece of paper and started jotting down numbers. After a while, he looked up and said, “If Riot can provide over five hundred million in cash flow, then we could probably start those ten projects.”
“Five hundred million?” Li Hong was taken aback. Is that how much money is needed to produce films and TV shows now?
Fortunately, Li Hong didn’t dwell on it too much. Five hundred million might be a challenge for Sweet Potato, but for Riot, the cash cow, it wasn’t a big deal at all.
Currently, Goddess Alliance’s profits weren’t terrifying yet, but it could generate around one hundred million in revenue every half month. If they saved up for a few months, they could gather that five hundred million.
Funding for film and television projects didn’t need to be in place all at once. It was an ongoing investment process; as long as there was continuous cash flow in between, it wouldn’t be an issue.
With the funding problem resolved, there wasn’t much left to discuss. Once Charlie heard that his boss could raise such funds, he had no further questions.
After settling these matters, everyone quickly went back to their own tasks.
Sweet Potato had just finished its modifications, and Li Hong, the boss, could simply sit back and relax, but his companions would have to work hard for a while.
After bidding farewell to a few people, Li Hong took the gloomy Loli by the hand and returned home.
It was rush hour, and the traffic was as congested as a sausage. Since their home was not far from the company, Li Hong decided to get out of the taxi with Loli and walk back.
“Yuchen, what’s wrong with you?” Li Hong asked curiously.
This girl was usually lively and energetic; why was she so quiet now?
Previously, Li Hong had been completely focused on how to transform Sweet Potato, so he hadn’t paid attention to Loli. Therefore, he had no idea what had happened to her that made her act this way.
Hearing Li Hong's question, Yuchen looked up, her eyes sparkling as she gazed at him. She softly asked, “Uncle, you’ve changed so much…”
“Uh…”
Li Hong thought she was worried about something serious, but it turned out to be this. He couldn’t help but chuckle as he explained, “Uncle has matured; that’s a good thing. Don’t you like me this way, Yuchen?”
“It’s not that I don’t like it; I’m just worried that if you change, you won’t like Yuchen anymore.”
Yuchen raised her head seriously and said, “Mom said that men are fickle. You’re a man too, so you must be fickle as well.”
“What do you have to worry about at night?”
Li Hong laughed and said, “No matter how I change, whether I’m fickle or not, what I promised will never change. Since you’ve become my daughter, I could never abandon you.”
“Really?” Yuchen asked with a puzzled look.
“Really!” Li Hong smiled and ruffled her hair affectionately.
He wasn’t lying to Loli. Regardless of whether her presence was an accident or a coincidence, once he promised to take care of Yuchen, Li Hong would never go back on his word.
He could understand Yuchen's mindset at that age, filled with wild thoughts, and he knew that being dependent on others at such a young age must have left her feeling uneasy. The only thing Li Hong could do was to treat Loli as well as possible, so she wouldn't have to suffer through life's hardships.
As for fatherly love...

In no time, they returned home.
After opening the door and sending Loli back to her room, Li Hong retreated to his own space.

He got up and set the automatic updates from the previous few days. It seemed like there had been a complete halt in updates; he couldn't help but wonder if those adorable reviewers in the Review Section had revolted.
With a mix of anxiety and anticipation, Li Hong quietly accessed the writer's backend of Zhongdian Chinese Network and logged into his author account with ease.
Once inside the backend, he couldn't help but rub his eyes in disbelief as he stared at the screen before him.
"What is this..."
Seeing the collection numbers soaring into six figures and the millions of recommendation votes, Li Hong was utterly stunned.
Wasn't Who Can Compete? from Shroud World not that impressive?
"Could it be that something unexpected has happened?" Li Hong pondered thoughtfully.
Initially, he chose to bring over Who Can Compete? from League of Legends to Blue Star's Zhongdian Chinese Network just to create some buzz for Goddess Alliance.
Li Hong did not expect to become famous with this book. He simply wanted to use the buzz from his previous book to promote the upcoming release of Goddess Alliance.

The book Goddess Alliance: Who Can Compete? had not yet been released, so Li Hong had no clear idea of how well it would perform.
It wasn't until he opened the Review Section for Goddess Alliance: Who Can Compete? and saw the flood of angry comments from readers that he realized what good performance truly meant.
