"Our total number of Female Players is something you might not even dare to imagine, Boss. It's close to 40%. Every time I think about it, I feel like it's legendary," Mark exclaimed.
Forty percent of female players?
Li Hong was completely astonished. Could it be that the BL Art Style was this appealing? Or were there really that many female fans?
This figure was remarkable, considering that women generally do not dominate the gaming scene compared to men. Not to mention, girls often lack a natural passion for online games.
For Goddess Alliance to achieve a 40% female player ratio was truly impressive.
There were games with even higher ratios, at least some online games could indeed surpass this. But could those ratios be compared given the different player bases?
At least Goddess Alliance had tens of millions of active players, which meant there were at least four million female players among them. That number exceeded the total registered users of many online games, making comparisons pointless.
"Quickly, let's use 'a lot of girls' as our promotional slogan. We need to attract more Otaku into the game," Li Hong said excitedly.
"Will that even work..." Mark asked hesitantly, not fully understanding the Otaku culture.
Li Hong rolled his eyes and retorted, "What do you know? Otaku are the kind of people who, as soon as they see this slogan, will jump in even if they know it's not true."
"Heh, sounds like you're talking about yourself," Soulmate scoffed.
Li Hong shot a glare at Soulmate, too lazy to explain anything further.
Mark nodded, finally grasping the task ahead. He continued, "Boss, our S1 World Championship is about to kick off. You mentioned earlier..."
"Alright, I understand. I'll make the arrangements," Li Hong nodded, acknowledging the agreement.
This was something he had already taken care of; it was up to him to handle the World Championship, and it wasn't too difficult.
After discussing these matters, Li Hong glanced around and noticed that only Supreme God, the Shiny Bald Head, seemed to have nothing more to say.
Supreme God gave Li Hong a look that indicated he should follow, then walked straight out of the control room.
Li Hong couldn't quite figure out what Supreme God was thinking, but he decided to follow him anyway.
He handed the Loli in his arms to Charlie standing nearby and slowly followed in Supreme God's footsteps.
The two of them made their way to the observation corridor outside Riot Games, where Supreme God stood silently in front of the glass railing.
It was lunchtime, and there were hardly any people wandering around the entire building. So, with Li Hong accompanying him, Supreme God didn't have to worry about anyone overhearing their conversation.
"Boss, what do you need me for?" Li Hong asked with confusion.
Supreme God had always been elusive, rarely appearing before him. Ever since the incident with Nightmare Space, he hadn't left Sweet Potato Films. Even Li Hong, no matter how slow he was, could guess that Supreme God had something to say to him.
As for what it was, Li Hong truly had no idea.
Supreme God turned back to look at Li Hong, his eyes filled with satisfaction. It was as if he were gazing at a younger relative who had finally grown up.
"You've grown a lot and changed quite a bit."
Li Hong's expression froze for a moment, seemingly taken aback by the Supreme God's words. However, reflecting on everything that had happened since he met the Supreme God, he realized he had indeed changed a lot. It was neither good nor bad; it was merely the maturity that came from experiencing many things.
"Yes, I've changed a lot. At least I no longer dare to think back to those days. I'm afraid that everything in front of me is just a dream. You didn't find me, and I was still huddled in that rental apartment, typing away in the dark to make a living."
The Supreme God smiled slightly and turned back to him. "I still remember the first time I saw you. Your hair was messy and greasy, as if you hadn't washed it in days. You were in such a state of complete lethargy, and although you seemed smooth-talking, inside you were incredibly lonely and helpless."
"You saw right through me! I thought I looked pretty cool back then," Li Hong chuckled.
"You were cool, indeed very cool..."
The Supreme God looked down at the busy Common People below and said with a hint of disinterest, "Do you feel tired? Or do you miss those early days?"
"Sometimes I do miss them, but when I think about my life now, it's not too bad," Li Hong sighed.
Once a Loser, he never imagined he would enjoy such glory today.
Even if he couldn't be considered successful or famous now, he could at least live a decent life. This was everything he once dared not even dream of; all that remained of his past was nostalgia.
"That's good to hear. At least I haven't let you down, have I?" the Supreme God said with a smile.
Feeling an unsettling sense of something being off, Li Hong furrowed his brows and asked, "Boss, is something wrong?"
The Supreme God seemed to be saying some strange things lately. Li Hong couldn't tell what was going on with him but could guess it wasn't anything good.
"Let me tell you a story. If you want to listen, then listen; if not, then forget it."
"You, I'm listening," Li Hong said thoughtfully.
"There was a child whose father was the Supreme God of the Multiverse, a figure who commanded respect across all realms. He grew up under his father's glory, but he harbored a deep disdain for that feeling. He didn't want others to refer to him merely as the son of a Supreme God; he wanted to be known by his own name.
As he grew older, his Supreme God father aged and wished for him to take over his position. Without hesitation, the child refused. He wanted to create his own Main God Space and become a figure as great as his father.
However, when he attempted to do so, he realized that there was a reason for his father's greatness. At least, he couldn't achieve what his father had accomplished. The Main God Space he opened was dismal and desolate, lacking even a single Reincarnator, while he faced constant oppression and bullying from his peers.
Just when he felt disheartened, his esteemed Supreme God father passed away first. Faced with the weeping family members, he had no choice but to set aside his own ambitions and return to inherit his father's Main God Space."
"I understand now..." Li Hong nodded, filled with shock and astonishment.
It was hard to believe that this Shiny Bald Head of a Supreme God had such an impressive background.
At the same time, Li Hong realized what the Supreme God wanted from him. Perhaps... maybe... it meant that his position was no longer secure.
However, Li Hong couldn't say he felt particularly disappointed. While having this position was certainly beneficial, it also constrained him. This was unfortunate news for the Supreme God, and equally so for Li Hong.
"Don't worry too much; I know I owe you," the Supreme God said apologetically. "The only thing I can do before I leave is to compensate you as best as I can."
"I can give you anything you desire, as long as it's within my power," the Supreme God continued. "Provided it doesn't exceed the limits of this world."
"No need for that. If you truly want to compensate me, then give me a Cheat Code. Achieving things through my own efforts is far better than receiving them without working for them. But without a Cheat Code, I fear no amount of effort will make a difference," Li Hong replied with a smile.
"You are quite amusing; you refuse what's readily available and insist on working hard instead. Go ahead then, but don't forget your Cheat Code."
Supreme God laughed and said: "Okay, I'll give you one. What type do you want?" "How about a business tycoon?" Li Hong asked curiously. "No regrets!" Supreme God smiled and left Li Hong's sight, and the sentence "No regrets" was still echoing around. "Ding Dong, you have a new reminder!" At the same time, Li Hong's mobile phone also received a text message from the number 404.
